I could totally imagine Matthew, with his calm gaze and sad smile whisper..
'let's call this day 'rememberance day' and remember all those
who fought for us'.
and then Alfred go like:
'YEAH! Let's remember those veterans! Imma call this 'Veteran's day!'
Rememberance day just seems like a much sweeter and cute name
that's just my opinion though o 3o

well I'll explain what lāčplēša day is...[copy/pasta from wikipedia] Lāčplēsis Day (Latvian: Lāčplēša Diena) is celebrated on November 11. On this date, Latvians commemorate not the end of World War I in 1918 (as in many other countries), but the victory over the Bermontians[the united troops of germany and Russia leaded by Bermont] at the battle of Riga the following year.This event is connected with the Latvian war of independence.
