*Melliandra flickers in nearby, just in time to catch Luke's little parlor trick. She's dressed in eastern-style robes and carrying a katana, but other than that is undisguised. Smirking, she waits until they finish their little exhcange and then applauds lightly* Hmhmhmhm, miraculous indeed.

*Luke's feeling tired and a little lightheaded from the exertion, but he tries not to show it. When he sees Mel, he suddenly has other things on his mind. Not to mention that in her garb - of course - Melliandra looks very much like Hajime.*

*He ignores her clapping.* I like to think so. Considering there's not much of a chance I could do it outside of here.

Not long enough.... :::which was saying something for someone who lived outside of time. Also, Cora didn't appreciate Melliandra belittling his ability that way, and felt the need to defend it:::

And we've only just begun to fight, for your information. If he keeps up the progress he's showing, Luke will be able to turn projectiles into weapons.

*The memory of it hits Luke. His eyes fall to a glare. He can feel his heart rate rise. Luke steps towards her and orders her in a soft, angry voice.* You shut up about that and have some goddamned respect.

:::Cora was fuming on the spot at this point. Meliandra's presence was enough to dampen her mood, but brining up the Seraphim, and belittling Hajime on top of their best efforts to prepair for a fight that was entirely out of their control... it was quite enough to push Cora over. She marched right up to Meliandra, standing there next to Luke:::

If you don't watch yourself, I'll make a dent in you. :: razz oking a finger into Mel's chest:::

Maybe whenever you're from it's alright to go around and shame yourself and the deceased. But now you're in my home. And you'll be polite :::she said through clentched teeth::: if you want to stay.

:::Yelling at Melliandra to leave got her a good repremanding from the Captain, so she was doing her best to refrain this time:::

*Melliandra lifts an eyebrow, rubbing her chest where Cora poked her* I fail to see how I am shaming the deceased. The woman was skilled, for all her dreary declarations of unworthiness. Even I wouldn't be able to so much as scratch one of those pesky multitudes with a sword like this. *she taps her katana lightly*

But I must say, Cora, you're constant threats to throw me out of here really are getting old. Haven't you tired of all that yet?

*Melliandra practically beams* Ah, yes, that old trick. Well, you're welcome to try. But if you must, won't you at least let me do a little more to provoke it first? It would be ever so much more fun for me!
