Ha! So I was right.
But how on earth didn't my teacher know that?? This is practically university level education, one would expect teachers to be proficient. :< For the first time in my life I enjoyed Swedish lessons more than English. >____< A black hole must be forming somewhere.

English is a very difficult language to learn. Heck, even those who have spoken english our entire lives don't entirely understand it.

I'd say English was fairly easy to learn, but there's a difference between being able to use a language and understanding all its nuances. And the English language does have the largest vocabulary in the world, if I remember correctly.
And judging from these flash instructions my teacher wrote, apparently Finns don't know their own language either. stressed My eyes bleed.

*is happeeh because Jiyu is so cool* heart
We all have bad days. *nodnod* Teachers, too. And I'll forgive her because she has a fairy god mother like character. I'm such a saint today.
I did eat fast food, I have to compensate. I even ordered a normal coke, which is too much for me.
I can't seem to stay on the subject today.

Happens to me too. : D Except that often things don't even connect, they just somehow... appear.
But I'm VERY good at staying on topic if it's something I'm serious about. Like does Nirvana exist or is Frasier a good tv show.

I can imagine. There are lots of Finnish dialects that don't make any sense. And in Russia there's a previously Finnish area where they kinda speak Finnish, except that it's practically another language.
And then there's incomprehensible capital area slang. My friends once asked for directions from friendly alcoholics, it was like some foreign language.

I come from the mid-west region of the states and thusly have no accent... nothing discernable anyway. However, out in California they assume we have southern accents. Last time I was out there some people found out I was from Indiana and were shocked that I had no accent and prompted me to say the word "wash"
Now, some people in my region (my grandmothers and step father included) butcher the word wash by pronouncing it as "wersh" or "warsh" . Somehow they get an 'r' in there. So when I said it like I would say it (normally) they said that I didn't say it right. I told them only the older generation adds the 'r', not me.

Warsh. : D
I always thought I didn't have an accent, like, I speak standard Finnish. But then I heard people from north say that the Helsinki accent sounds horrible. >____<
And I guess it kinda does, actually.
