Because, what? I haven't seen anything horrendous in my years of service to the world community and the various governments I've worked for? The teams I've worked on? The personal sacrifices I've made for others?
Yes; lets trivialize my life experience so you can seem smarter, older, and wiser. Not pompous and cynical.

I don't see society as dysfunctional - I see it as a constantly growing, shifting entity I dare not try to label. But Agreed, to each their own.
But I don't think you being a anomaly gives you the right to lord over everyone who does age normally; based in the majority of I am not classified as a "kid". I understand however how you, hopefully, mean the term to be a notion of affection rather then be a condescending jab.
