Deidre dreams.
It is difficult for Deidre to describe her dreams to another person, because Deidre's dreams are the dreams of hallucinations and uncertainty. In Deidre's dreams, it is impossible to tell what is what, and who is who.
With the exception of one thing.
In Deidre's dreams, there is a man. He is almost always the focal point of her dreams, in among the colors, and the shapes, and the things that are somewhat like colors and somewhat like shapes but really aren't neither and it doesn't even seem like it would be possible but somehow she's seeing it right now even though she's not going to remember it in the morning.
That man is present, and when he talks, Deidre can touch his words as they hang in the air. Then she reads them, and she knows that she hates him, even as she loves him, and that her hand has become cold iron.
Deidre dreams.

[Sometime the next evening....]
Staring intently at the prone figure on the couch, Faeth tapped her foot impatiently. D was going to wake up soon, right? Why wasn't she already awake? Faeth had a slice of pizza microwaved, asprin on hand, and a glass of water not two feet away. A waste basket, of course, was only one foot away; just in case Deidre should find that a full day of sleeping wasn't enough to work her system clean, and her stomach would opt to take up the slack.

Slowly, groggily, Deidre's legs twisted to hang off the edge of the couch, as she picked herself up with one long groan. "Bathroom," she said.
"I got some aspirin for-"
"Bathroom." She was pointed in the right direction and staggered into the bathroom, before sitting down and taking one very long piss. Once that was done with she got a long hard look at herself in the mirror. "I look like ********' hell," she muttered, wetting a cloth and wiping the mascara off her eyes.
Walking back into the main room, she paused to take in her surroundings and the other person present. "...who the ******** are you?" Deidre asked groggily.

"The person that brings you asprin, food, and water!" Faeth chirped, placing her offerings on the beat-up coffee table. She turned to Deidre as if to say something, then perhaps thought better of it; best to first let the hunter drug, rehydrate and refuel herself, before trying to press her for more information about the locals.

Deidre eyed Faeth warily, still not entirely certain of who she was. There was the air of familiarity about her, but she couldn't quite place her. On the other hand, she was giving her unmarked pills and food, and as far as Deidre had ever been concerned, that was surefire way into her heart.
Plunking down on the couch, the speed at which Deidre devoured the pizza could be described as legendary, the sort of thing you'd expect to see from a small asian man in front of a pile of hot dogs. The aspirin was drowned in-between two of the bites, after which Deidre paused before continuing.
"...So, did we ********?" she asked Faeth, "You have to tell me these things, 'cause I'm not gonna remember most of it the next morning." She paused to look at the clock. "Evening."

"If I said yes, would you be willing to follow through on your promise and introduce me to the local Hunters?" Faeth answered singsong, grinning jokingly. So, yeah, there had been no such promise made... but Deidre clearly wouldn't remember that. And what was the problem with reinventing history a bit, if no one would be the wiser?
Noting the food fly from the plate into Deidre's stomach with frightening velocity, Faeth thought that it would be best to add- "There's more pizza in the fridge if you want it. Just stick it in the microwave for about a minute a piece... unless y'don't mind it cold, of course, in which case more power to you."

For a brief moment, Faeth wondered if Deidre had the ability to teleport, as she very rapidly was suddenly at the microwave, tapping in the time for her pizza to cook. But no, the smoke rising from the carpet belied the speed at which Deidre had traveled in order to get there.
"So, like, what'd we use?" Deidre asked, "I'm not that sore, so I figure we were pretty softcore. p***y."
She tapped her foot impatiently as the pizza rotated slowly, finally skipping the last ten seconds and popping the door open. Shoveling it into her mouth, she stretched over with her leg and flicked the light switch off. "Too damn bright," she said by way of explanation.

Faeth chuckled a bit; did Deidre really think they'd done, erm... that? What an interesting life the Huntress must lead....
"We didn't have sex, D." She said it as plainly as she could, just to make sure she didn't confuse the other. "You were drunk, I found you at the mall, you broke the DDR machine, I dragged you over here to sleep it off." A pause- just to be safe, Faeth said in a reminding voice, "And don't forget! You promised you'd introduce me to the Hunters in New York, so that I could get my business started here!" She didn't have exactly a one-track mind, but she was more than willing to be pushy for such a fine cause as keeping food in her mouth.

Landing gracefully on the roof of the apartment building, it didnt take her long at all to slip down the side of the building onto her own balcony. Her lips were dripping blood slowly as she still had the small grin on her face, sliding open the glass door and disappearing inside. Everything was just as she had left it; neatly in place like always, save for the few articles of clothing strewn across the floor.
It was rather funny that she ahd beenable to move at all and get a kill dressed as she was. It was a rare sight to see her in a dress and heels. For some reason or another she felt that it would be fun to dress like a girl for once. Not that her clothes in the past ahd ever hidden her feminine figure. As she walked across the floor of the apartment, she undid the tie around her neck that was holding her dress up, letting it fall to the floor. Stepping out of it without breaking stride, she continued walking towards the bathroom in her strapless balck bra and matching panties, her shoes still on. Strapped to her thigh was her switchblade, while she started to take off when the small clink of bottles could be heard in the bathroom.
A smile came to her face. Kusari? However, it was then that she heard the scrapeing of claws against the tile floor. Instantly she went into battle mode, taking the switchblade and flicking the blade out. It would take too long to get to her magnums now. s**t. Her breathing almost came to a stop as she moved, her eyes slowly fading from their brilliant green to the deep crimson as she took slow steps towards the bathroom. Whatever was in there was obviously up to no good.
Pausing just to the side of the bathroom door, she flattened ehrself out against the wall so that her shadow would not attract attention. At once she threw herself aorund the corner ready to strike. However, she was almost immediately thrown off her feet as the creature bolted for the balcony, knocking her off of her feet as well. (( gotta switch classes...to be continued! ><'' ))

Watching the damp spot on the ceiling, she studied it.. It did indeed look like alaska. She wasn't seeing things. Sitting up, she laid her gun on her bed, starting to clean it and load it... Anyway to stop thinking about what happened the night before. Her toned frame in a vest and some jeans, her feet were bare since she was in the one-roomed apartment.

Having spent the night trying to track her down, he'd finally had some success. Stood outside the building, he glanced up to her window. That was the one, alright.

Hearing the post, she watched some drop through her letterbox.. Heading over, she picked them up, flicking through the names. P Gorely, P Gorely, P Gorely.. He/she no longer lived at this address, obviously. Their loss.. She mused, opening the first - from a live dating service, saying noone had watched his tape. The second, from a very angry mail-order bride wanting to sue, and the 3rd from a gambling company. This resident sure lived the high life..

Scaling the fire escape, his eye never left her window. He was still in the same clothes as he had been the night before. Reaching her window, he stood outside of it, concealed in the shadows as she watched the young beauty.

Raising a brow at the last mail, she binned it.. Heading over to the beaten up fridge and peering inside, before sitting in front of it.. 2 cartons inside. Pasta or pasta. Such hard decisions..
