He continued to watch, encircling the fighters now, twirling his lance constantly.

"It has nothing to do with doubt, fool. It has to do with knowing your limitations. Neko was distracted and weakened in the middle of transformation, if I am correct in assuming what happened before I got here. If anything, you are the coward for attempting to trap her in her weakend state."

Neko hissed, landing right in front of Raulnor. It wasn't that she missed; she had meant to land there the entire time. She stood up, her eyes now amber, not their usualy warm emerald green.

"You think I enjoy fighting you, hunter?" Neko asked coldly, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "Do you think that we are somehow less than you, jsut because we are different? That's what got humans into the messes they find themselves in: fear of the unknonw and racism. I may be only seventeen, but I at least know not to judge others by race or appearance. Can you say the same? Cna you hold your head up high and say 'I'm proud of myself for not judging people'? Can you?"

She hissed again, three tails glowing as the thrashed behind he.

"Alas, I was not born in the time when this rivalry begun. Can you deny what you were taught as you grew up? Everything in the first few lives of Human years you believe, throughout the rest of your lives, unless a heroic figure steps in and changes what you believe. Whether it be that you are pathetic, and really brilliant, or vice versa. Having to be in hiding from my dead fathers debts, I have not had any contact, and all I know is what they taught me during those first few years."

"Do not blame me for what I was brought up for, you are denying my whole life. If you are as intelligent as your race boasts, you understand me."

"Intelligence has nothing to do with it." Neko said, no pity in ehr eyes. She doubted he would want any. "I may have the ability ot trick the mind into believing what I want it to beleive, but that deos not make me anymore inteligent than you, or anyone else. All I knew growing up was my family, and when most of them died I was thrust into a world I didn't know and barely understood." She cocked her ehad to one side, her eyes still amber. "We all have our little problems."

"Well then, having the same life you should undesrstand what I say. We are not all that different, beside the different society we live in and our blood."

"I don't kill Aeshma." Neko said, remembering his alias. To Raulnor she said, "That maybe true. We are quite a lot alike, despite our diffenreces, or amybe because of them. But rememeber this hunter. I will never kill, not you, not anything. Remember that, next time you feel inclinced to attack me. I won't kill you, but when I'm done you'll wihs I had."

She smield at him, eyes emerald again. "Now that that's settled, how about dinner?" She turned, adn walked towards a hotdog stand. She went all of three steps when she collapsed.
