Sasha knocked on Pietro's door. "So, from all the drama that happened earlier, I never did find out who you were. So you're Pietro, Magneto's son?" she asked, leaning against the door.

"I think Freya may have it covered." Danielle said finally realizing what happened.
She watched Freya and Gen, incase Freya would need help.

Frost screamed in pain as memories of her past flooded back through the exterior of the person that she had become.

Her parents constantly telling her it was her fault for the snow. She liked the snow. It was fun to play in. Why was it so bad?

Moving 2-3 times a year only because the snow fell in the summer. What was the big deal?

Being sent off to the institute.... how nice of her parents.

Alanna

Gen opened her eyes and could see her. Alanna had to go somewhere but she felt like she was supposed to be at the institute when she was there. She knew that Alanna was not there at that moment, but it gave her some drive to fight off the presence in her head that was known as Frost.

"IT's my turn." she shouted to herself. "I get to make the decisions with my power, but thanks for the boost."

"You'll always be weaker without me." the personality shouted back, fighting for control.

"Tell that to my friends that came this far to fight for me...."

With that last sentence, she shoved Frost out of her and looked back at Freya. "Can I get down now?" she asked in a soft voice, not fond of heights.

"Oh thank god, Gen," was all Porter could mumble when Gen came too. He helped her down out of the tree, "If everybody can move to the motel... I would really like to get back to Bayville tonight..."

"Oh my stars and garters," McCoy said summing up the situation. He had a medical intern and a few nurses taking care of Jacen and his task was Penance... putting all the peices back together again.

SEVERAL HOURS LATER [because I don't write medical stuff well...]

"I was able to stop the bleeding and close up the wound," McCoy said coming out to Xavier and Regina who were both sitting in the waiting room, "Now her healing needs to finish the job. What she was thinking..."

Xavier shook his head, "She was more concerned for her friends than herself. That is all we need to concern ourselves with. How is Jacen?"

"He'll be fine," McCoy motioned to one of the patient rooms, "I stiched up everything that needed it and gave him a transfusion. They lost a lot of blood each."

"The damage from the hounds is gone as well?" Xavier asked.

McCoy shook his head, "I did what I could do. I didn't try on Evelyn, I don't want her healing factor to subside. I do think that Jacen didn't respond to the syrum and may retain some or all of the power changes..."

Xavier nodded, "It is a shame what hatred can do to people..."

She felt like she had just woken out of a coma for ten years. Her eyes just kind of opened to focus on the ceiling. Most of the pains were gone except for one of them. Just like that... just like that. Most people aren't that lucky. Just like that.

The pain in her side felt like a fire that just wouldn't die down. She couldn't smell blood really anymore. Somebody must have wiped it off her face. Ribs were okay. Arms okay. Side... ow.

Where was everybody? Were they alive? Was she home? Yea, that was the Institute Infirmary ceiling. She was staring at it a few days ago. Hm, people would start to think she wasn't as tough as she pretended to be. Well, she wasn't exactly one to leave things on the line... so trips to the Infirmary tended to happen.

Senses are becoming clearer. Regina... I can hear her. Feel... yea fell the big pain in my a**... I mean side. Up? Can I get up? She moved her hand to the cold metal railing on the side of her bed and pulled herself up.

"Uhhh," She gasped a bit feeling her entire body ache. She stopped for a moment and looked around finding her focus. As it came back to her she grabbed onto the IV stand that was pumping fluids into her arm. Her side felt weird, "Hmm." Stitches. Hadn't needed that in a bit.

A nurse came up to her and said something along the lines that damn X-men thought they knew better than nurses and she needed to get back into bed. Penny mumbled something that might have been rude but it was hardly legable so the nurse ignored it. A death glare from Penny told the lady to back off.

"Fine, it's not my problem. I'm done with this shift. You kids..." She threw her hands up and left the Infirmary.

She put her weight against the IV and pushed out of her room to the one next to it. Chair... good. She sat down in a chair and relined it. Jacen for all intents looked like he was sleeping. Sleep... that was a good idea. She leaned her head against the side of the chair and started to doze off. About fifteen minutes later, she heard him stir and she opened her eyes again.

"Hey," She said almost inaudibly but she knew the words came out of her mouth. She smiled a bit and got caught with her words. How did a person sum up the situation? This was not normal... so a simple, "How are you?" was the best she had to offer at the moment.

He didn't say anything but stared at her blankly. She wasn't sure if he was registering it all or something else... In fact, she wasn't entirely sure of what had really transpired over the last few hours. She was drained that was for sure.

"I'll live... don't be too hard on yourself... You weren't you really... stupid p***k Ahab... I'm sorry I couldn't stop you sooner," she felt herself start to get a lump in her throat from all the emotional stress of the last three or so days and sighed, "I need a vacation..."

Pietro remained zipping in and out of his room, his broken furniture and possessions being replaced one by one as he "liberated" various items from venues all around town and beyond. Still, he was able to notice her question.

"How. Do. You. Know. My. Father?" Pietro asked, asking each word one at a time as he ran in and out of his room at mach speeds.

Sasha went over and sat down on his new bed. "I ran into him a year ago in Russia. It was night, and I was running out through the streets. I ran into an elderly looking man and tried to read his dreams so I could steal his wallet. But for some reason I couldn't. He turned and found me hiding behind a dumpster. He used his arm and moved it away magically. He asked me who I was, and yadda yadda yadda, tells me to come to the Brotherhood in America. He told me that I reminded him of his son, Pietro, and that I would come in handy for him. I still haven't figured out why, I guess I could try to speed you more, since you seem to be suffering from malnutrition," she smiled, brushing her hair back.

After walking back into her closet of a bedroom, Victoria stopped and wondered why she even came back up here. She had left it earlier to find the kitchen, but then got sidetracked with the run in with that Wanda girl and John and all. Still hungry she plopped onto her unsheeted bed and stared up at the ceiling, decieding it best to wait it out a bit. "Sure are some crazy people here," she said outloud. Laughing dryly she realised that she didn't care to much as long as they were on the same team. At least she hoped they were on the same team. From the few member's she did meet that sounded correct, but from the other member's she had no clue.

(another joint post)

Regina walked in and leaned against a wall. "I think I'm the only one that didn't get any action. But as for that vacation..." she showed Penny the notice.

Penny smiled weakly and read the letter. Being the person she was, she couldn't not make a joke as obvious as it was, "Oh you'll be getting your action then.... I'm only going if there are no fu***** lunatic mutant haters or mutants who hate mutants who hate humans out there... My nine lives are just about up, Reg."

"You're not the only one. Our whole team just needs a break." Regina sat down, grinning. "In either case though, I think I'm going to invite as many of the house as possible. Jacen, you're welcome too once you heal up."

"Are they back yet?" Penny had half forgotten about the reset of the team. She had no idea if they had made it in one peice, "I went kamikaze and lost track of your status..."

"Not that I know of, but I did hear a communication that they were on their way home. They'll be back in an hour or so. Porter has to drive..." Regina smirked. "His motorcycle is on the roof, poor guy."

Penny feigned a smile, "If my throat didn't hurt I'd start busting out the lyrics to that damn Peter Cetera song..." She hummed a bit 'I am the man who will fight for your honor...' "I don't think he knows what to do he likes you so much."

"This is all really new to me." Regina admitted. "I've had friends. So it's... akward."

Penny put her hand on the IV stand again and pulled herself more upright. She winced and closed her eyes when she moved too fast, "Heh... you guys will be fine. You'll bumble around for a bit together and then just find your nitche. Not that I've had a stellar record."

"You and Jacen will make it I think..." Regina went over to her, trying to help. "I just hope no more fighting fo ra long time. we all need the time off..."

"Heh, that's not what I was talking about actually... Kurt, Forge, Scott..." Penny sighed took Regina's help and suddenly felt weird about having that conversation in Jacen's room, "Not that I want to be doom and gloom but I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceburg."

"Hey, they all thought little of it." Regina shrugged. "We all date... but me. And speaking of which, hopefully Kurt will understand once this becomes... undrestood."

"Water off his back, don't worry..." Penny shrugged, "You'd be surprised at how resiliant some people are..."

"Kurt's a sweety though. I'd hate to hurt him." Regina said with a sigh.

Penny shook her head, "You won't. There's plenty of fish in the sea for him. You just happened to be the first class prize... So when do we leave for the sunny beaches? I'm tired of these walls already."

"Soon as everyone is back and accounted for and healed up." Regina reclined in a chair. "They should be home soon too."

"By the sounds of it, your prince has arrived" Penny heard a ruckus of footsteps coming towards the infirmary. She looked over at Jacen and back at Regina, "Hey, why don't you go see him... I know he'd like that... I... think Jacen and I need to talk"

----------

Regina nodded and headed out to the hallway, ushering the new patients to the medical assisstants and Hank. Then she saw Porter come up at the end. She frowned. "You look like hell."

He grinned, "Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you got back here okay."

"I got the other two back safely, that was the important thing." Regina went over and helped him to one of the chairs. "Looks like there's a line. Penny is resting in with Jacen, Jacen is in bed."

He nodded and sat down. God he was glad this was over and nobody was lost. For some reason after this he was feeling more comfortable in his own skin. Maybe it was because he finally found his place at Xavier's or realized he didn't have to be so afraid of other people.

"Did good today, Regina..." He put a hand on the back of her neck and squeezed it lightly, "I think this will make a fine X-Men team yet."

"With your help." she blushed some. "Penny and I can't do it alone. She may not want to admit it, but I know otherwise... we're still in training to some extent ourselves."

"We're always learning... could probably teach old man Logan a thing or two," he leaned over and kissed the top of her head sweetly. God her hair still smelt good after this all, "Hey, what's in your hand there?"

"Oh this?" Regina looked at her hand, forgetting she even had anything there. "Evidently I entered a contest the day before prom... and won. I have a free vacation for up to 15 people."

Porter chuckled, "Oh that will be fun."

"Tell me about it. It's about time we had a break though. We'll have to take our team, and as many others as possible." Regina said, already planning the trip. "Good bonding time for our house."

Too many thoughts appropriate and inappropriate crossed his mind. Unfortunately, if he were there, he would be the 'responsible' one of the house, "Yea, well, don't expect to spend every evening with them. I promised you a dinner."

Regina blinked, her thoughts becoming derailed from the bonding times with the othe rkids. "Oh yeah..." She smiled. "You do owe me.. I wonder where we'll be staying anyways."

"On a beach," He joked and read the paper over to make sure it was legit, "Well, I hope the neighbors won't mind any noise."

"Maybe we won't be too close to other people." she grinned at the paper, looking at his hair. "You need a shower... and some medical attention."

"Thanks, Regina, always know how to keep a person grounded," Porter said and got up, "Why don't you go see how Gen is... she had a rough day."

"I'm just glad she was changed back... I think it'll be a benefit of a situation for her though." Regina hugged him. "Hey. I'm glad you made it safely too. I saw Teagan giving you some roughing up..."

"No worse than I've had it before," He said and left it at that, "But those are stories for another day."

"Did you ever have someone watching your back?" she was curious. She had a feeling that some tough decisions were going to be in store for her.

He shook his head and smiled, "Never."

"Being... with me, you will. Hope it's not a problem." Regina smirked, not really caring if he did consider it a problem.

"No, it's quite nice actually. Being a rogue agent got boring sometimes... nobody to talk to... but that is a lifetime ago it seems."

"Well. You're definately not alone now. I'm sure most of our team will look up to you for advice and more." Regina found herself getting a little jealous if anyone did think otehrwise of him...

He laughed, "Yea, you guys are going to be the death of me... I can already feel it in my bones."

"Let's hope not. Or this might be kinda silly..." she said with a small smile. "Okay, on with you to the nurses. They're glaring at me for keeping you out of their clutche sso long."

"Yea, well, I can take them," He gave her a quick hug and shooed her off to see Gen.

Regina smiled and headed to Gen's small hospital room.

(gah sorry it was so long... lol. I'm done for the night)

Jamie stood just inside the front doors for a moment, breathing deeply. It was good to be home. Huh. . . so this is what home is then. . . Jamie stood still, before heading upstairs.

"Yo, Porter. . . Thanks for all the help. It's lucky you showed up." He said lightly, before deciding he should give people some time alone. Besides, it's not like I won't see them tommorow. He just headed up to his bed, and dropped into it.

Regina went into Gen's room to find that Freya had somehow been placed in the bed next to her. "Hey Freya, good to see you... We owe you a lot for helping us get Gen back from Frost or Ahab's clutches."

"It was easy!" Freya said, keeping herself unusually perky.

"How you have the energy I never know..." Regina grinned, looking at Gen. "I just did a run through the rest of the building. Dani is okay, Teagan is recovering with Blair (sorry i forget the name...) in Hank's special room, Kurt and Rogue were relativley unscathed, and Jamie already went to his bedroom. Porter is getting checked out now, Penny and Jacen are in intensive care recovering."

((and i'm very sorry if i hav eleft anyone out, if i have, please write yourself in somewhere in the infirmary. hank is the resident mutant doctor but he has a couple of medical assisstants that help... i'm so very tired...))

"Good good. Now, it's time for me to go."

She jumped out of the bed and stretched. However, her wounds were still not healed from the escape of Ahab's laboratory so she froze there with a mix of pain and surprise expression on her face. Both girls stared at her.

"It's nothing... Really... Just...a muscle...stuck..."

She fell face first on the floor, her head spinning a bit. Behind the clown act she was putting to cheer the girls, she was actually concerned. During the fusion, Freya felt something was wrong. She couldn't put her finger on it though. She was a bit light headed after the spirits left her body so she was more or less remembering what she did exactly to Gen.

"I'm fine. Don't worry," she said raising her hand in the air. "I shall conquer this."

She rose to her feet slowly and saw Wolverine standing in the door. "Er...how long were you watching this?"

"Since the part you faked being alright," he said, smoking his cigar.

Freya giggled and whistled a bit. A small water fairy crossed the room, extinguished Logan's cigar and vanished. "No smoking allowed here remember?"

On this, the blond proudly walked out of the room...before slipping on the small water pond her fairy left behind her.

Gen stared as Freya walked out and slipped on the water. "I didn't do it..." was teh first thing she could think of to say. After all that had happened, she wasn't sure what she was going to get in trouble for.

Regina shook her head and pushed Logan back. "Scuse us, you're kinda blocking the whole room here..."

Logan moved back and watched as Regina lent a hand to the blond on the floor, eyeing her with suspicion.

Regina had no fear of Logan. He had a tough exterior, but he wasn't about to hurt any of the students living there. She rather liked arguing with him over his cigar habit. She wanted to thank Freya somehow for having extinguished the current one while in the medical wing.

Jacen was still staring blankly into space. He was affected by all this. He felt completely torn about himself due to his hunting of mutants. All this time, he was being groomed along side others loyal to Magneto....groomed to possibly help lead the mutant race into a golden age. But, he was nothing more than someone's chesspiece, a pawn forced to slay his mutant brethren without mercy.

Finally, he blinked twice, and let out an exasperated sigh. The table he was on was cold, and there was a slight breeze wafting through, possibly due to the traffic. He actually snapped to when he saw Regina leave his room. Penance decided to stick around. "Odd," he thought as he saw a bag with a fresh pint of blood dispensing into his arm, remarking on Evie's presence.

Jacen had a few cuts on his arms, nothing too damaging, most of the wounds only getting hardly to the third layer of skin, though there was a rather nasty gash on his oft too hurt left shoulder. It would take time to heal, he knew. He shook his head, coughed, and chuckled a bit to himself quietly. There was a pain in his side, another cut that was stitched and bandaged. At this particular time, Jacen was quite jealous of Evelyn's healing abilites. He was going to be limping around for a bit of time.

"Hi," Penance said as she pulled up a chair and sat down near Jacen's bed.

"........Looks like we kicked each other's asses pretty damn hard this time," Jacen said with a wry grin. Then, he started to chuckle, which elicited a small laugh from Penance. In a matter of seconds, both started to laugh somewhat loudly before each grasping their sides in pain.

"Ow...ow.....," he said quietly before sitting up a bit, careful not to loosen any of the tubes attached. He had alot of things to say, and alot of questions to ask. But he found it hard to figure out what to say, and before he knew it, he was looking at his feet, and said a quiet, "....I'm.....sorry about all of this......"
