Amora winked at her. "You expect anything less?" she teased.

Elwin chuckled. "You remember, Lin, how when she had lost her confidence in herself from her accident, she was unable to See at all?" He grinned. "When her confidence returned, so did her Sight."

Earendil smiled and took his fingers out of Miyuki's mouth, more for safety than anything, since they were going to be walking, and instead put his hand behind her back so that she wouldn't fall out of his arms. "It's sometimes mind-boggling how much magic and mind can be linked, even when it's innate magic," he murmured as they headed off down the hall.

Earendil chuckled at Miyuki. "I think I have been spoiling you," he grinned. "Now don't pout at me, you know I can't resist you when you pout."

He leaned his head down and play-nibbled on her forehead to distract her.

Amora smiled back at Lin as they headed towards a stair tower. "Do you remember," she asked, "the last time you were here, when we spoke of studying magic, and trying to figure out how it works, and how children end up with which gifts of their parents, and how their magic chooses them later on in life?"

Amora smiled. "Well, with what happened to me, I think we got a pretty good jump on the research, don't you think?" She winked at her. "Maybe we should actually go into the research someday."

Earendil chuckled at Miyuki, then puffed out his cheeks against her hands.

Earendil chuckled and turned his head sharply to try to catch Miyuki's fingers in his mouth.

Amora looked at the two and giggled. "I can't tell if Earendil is trying to adopt her out from under your nose, or if she's trying to adopt him," she laughed.

Earendil blushed slightly and chuckled. "She's adorable, what can I say?" he grinned, his cheeks pink.

Earendil smiled. "Well, as I've said before," he grinned, looking back at Miyuki, "the feeling is mutual."

Amora giggled as she and Elwin led Earendil and Lin up two flights of stairs and into a hallway.

"Well, here are your rooms," she smiled at them, stopping at the first door in the hall. "Lin, here," she nodded, and then she pointed at the door directly across the hall. "And Earendil. Your bags have already been brought in."

"The rest of your party is also in this hall," Elwin added, nodding at the other doors. "That way you're all together, in case you're looking for someone else. If you're looking for a member of the family, our rooms are one floor up. There are guards in the hall that can direct you exactly where you want to go."

"It's a bit of a maze," Amora smiled, "but once you get used to it it's really not bad."

Earendil give Miyuki a quick squeeze for a hug, then turned her and held her out to Lin again. "Bed for all of us," he murmured. He himself was quite tired, more than ready to sleep - especially since the night before they had only gotten about half a night of sleep. "Off you go."

Earendil blushed again. "Miyuki," he murmured, feeling rather awkward now, "it's time for bed ..."

He made sure Lin had a good grip on her and that she wouldn't fall before he let go. That was ... well, strange, sure, but ... awkward.

Amora just giggled. "Well, good night then," she beamed at the two. "We'll see you at breakfast!"

And she and Elwin headed off.

"Yes, I'll see you in the morning," Earendil agreed. He reached over and patted Miyuki on the head. "You sleep good for your mama now, you hear?"

He smiled at Lin. "And I hope you sleep well, too," he told her. He bowed his head. "Good night."

And he turned and headed into his room.
