Do I contol the blades in my hands?

"No ma'am," he said, chuckling again. I simply respect them... And their space." Mages weren't necessarily the most trusted people when it came to Storm, for more often than not, they had done something rather detrimental to him when they said they would 'help'.

Feline's ears perked up when the man began explaining where he had come from. She had figured out that her homeland was not in the same plane of existence as this place she had ended up in, because her magic source had completely left her the moment she landed here. While she could feel and see the energies around her here, they were like trying to speak a foreign language when it came to using them.

When I get a chance I will have to quiz him more about these other realms and how to reach them. Maybe he might even have knowledge of my homeland.

Feline wouldn't let herself get too excited though. Chances were slim to none that her homeland was even in this same Universe.

She more determined than ever to increase her magical knowledge...the trouble was trying to convince the grumpy magical genius Panda that it would be worth his time. Feline was afraid that it took a lot to convince him that anything was worth his time.

"Hear that, Panda?" she said, turning to flash a bright smile at the white-haired man "At least one person respects your space!"

"Well, Storm... I'm incredibly pleased to have you here with us. I know you will be an asset to our cause," she said, reaching out to clasp one of his hands in both of hers.

"Now, I've asked so much of you... is there anything that I can do for you? Any answers you desire, perhaps, if not services?"

"Really, I need some things, and somewhere to train. I do not know the temple, or the pilgrims within, but I know they are now prejudiced towards me due to the... Gods, I am sorry for what I did in the temple today..." He trailed off, but soon regained his train of thought. " I will need training, in order to better serve the order. And I will need a bunk, so that I don't end up waking up in the halls anymore..." at that point he smiled, genuinely amused by those particular events.
"I am thankful for your benevolence, Miss Lorika,"

"Well, we have plenty of supplies for anyone to make use of. As for training, you'll be pleased to know that our combat instructor, Jessie Hawk, is more than capable of teaching a thing or two to even a warrior as advanced as yourself. Oh, dear... if only he hadn't left, I would have loved to introduce you," she mourned "He was the dark-skinned elf who passed you before you entered."

Her look soon changed to confusion, and a little suspicion. "'What you did in the Temple?' ...What did you do?"

...and you will be lonesome.

There was a shuffle of movement from under the covers, a small twisting of expression hinting that unconsciousness had loosened its hold upon the fawn-haired girl. Her eyes remained close as her mind drifted, her head sinking into the softness of the pillow, hand creeping towards the empty space beside her on the bed. It had been a while since she last had the privilege to sleep in such a warm and comfortable setting.

Wait... Sleep? She groped at the space beside her again, brow furrowing. She didn't remember dozing off, definitely not under the sheets of a very spacious bed. This was very strange... Skimming back to her thoughts, she remembered going to the Professor's study, giving the report and handing Bapp's things over to the winged woman, and leaving the room with Je--

Coline's body stiffened as her heart began to race. Yes, she remembered now. But... he brought her back to the Temple, right? Into one of the spare rooms in the basement... right...? Once she opened her eyes everything would be made clear. Shuddering slightly she took in a deep gulp, and mustering whatever courage she had, the recruit shot her eyes open.

Pitch black.

...

Oh god. Ohgodohgodohgodohgod. She might as well just pass out again from embarrassment! Wait, NO! That would just makes things worse! There was a scorching heat forming on her cheeks, as if all the blood in her body were concentrated on those two soft patches of flesh, as she clambered her way out of bed. With the grace of a thousand swans her foot caught a loose section of the sheets and her face met the floor. B-But she propped herself right back up! See? Nothing she can't handle!

Ahaha! Ahah! Hah...

With extended arms she shakily waded herself through the darkness, hoping that somehow, someway, Jessie wasn't around to witness all this. Was she even headed towards the right direction? She managed to reach one end of the room, and after a few moments of fondling and feeling around came across what felt like... a door handle! But it was mighty persistent for some reason; no matter how much she pulled, the door just wouldn't open.

Using every ounce of strength she pulled--because pushing the door was not an option, oh no--only for her hand to slip. The recruit staggered back a number of steps with a small shriek, grabbing at whatever she could to keep her balance only to send them to the floor with a dull thud, until her back eventually hit the wall. So hard apparently that it managed to knock down something massive directly beside her.

Coline slumped down to the floor with a sigh, utter humiliation etched upon her face. Now only if there was a hole she could crawl into...

Jessie sat up, breathing a little heavily, and stared at the door to the bedroom. Was it his imagination, or did something just...? There it was again. He knew he wasn't imagining it. Something - assumedly Coline, though it sounded rather too large to be her - was thumping around in his room.

Getting to his feet from the floor, where he'd been performing some sit-ups to pass the time, Jessie stepped over to the room and pulled the door open. He'd made a vow not to, but if he stood outside while she found herself in difficulty...

Stepping inside, he sucked in his breath.

"Good god," he laughed, striding over to the girl beside the fallen endtable "You humans do enjoy wrecking my rooms."

Pulling back a curtain to allow the bright moonlight to flood in, he bent down in front of her with the intention of helping her to her feet. He was once again struck by her beauty, however, and ended up pulling her into a hug.

"...Did you sleep well? I wasn't expecting you awake so soon..."

Coline could feel her hair rise when she heard the door creak open. Where are hundred-feet pits when you need them!?

"I-I'm really sorry," she blurted out in panic. "When I woke up I didn't know where I was. Well... I had an idea, but what I mean is I couldn't see where I was going, so I--" Cut short as the drow pulled her in, the recruit's body tensed, but she soon eased in to the warmth of his embrace. A small blush crept up her cheeks. "Yes, thank you. You have a... very comfortable bed. It was very restful." she answered.

It had only been a day since she'd received his feelings and he's already showered her with so much affection. She almost felt... unworthy of him. No, she was unworthy. After all the trouble she'd caused him, all the pains he had to go through for her well-being... A long silence passed before she spoke again, her tone graver and far more apologetic than he'd ever heard before. "...I really am sorry."

He pulled away slightly and met her eyes, the gravity of her tone affecting him. God, but she was beautiful. He wanted to kiss her. The more he thought about it, the more the two repeated - an inescapable cycle of thought that only left him wound up, knowing that she would never accept a kiss from him as of now. He had to be patient.

He bit his bottom lip, slightly flushed. "You have nothing to be sorry about, my dear. Nothing at all."

With a jolt, he realised he'd been sliding his hand up her arm. As if struck by lightning, he leapt back and stood up. "I believe," he began, rather shakily "That I am the one who should be apologising. I know that I've been incredibly forward with you up until now," he explained, pulling her to her feet "And I know that it has caused you discomfort. I... I apologise. It has been my experience that if you don't reach out and snatch what you desire in life, it will soon be taken away from you. I couldn't let that happen to me. Not with you."

His whole body seemed to sag at the last sentence. Giving a small sigh, he moved to turn away. "I'm sorry."

She listened as he explained himself, mindlessly rubbing her arm--the exact same place Jessie's hand had been not so long ago. The reaction certainly piqued her interest. It was a very strange; there didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary about her arm, apart from the healing scratches she'd incurred from her fight with Bapp the night before, so why such a strong reaction?

Then again, it could have easily just been nothing. Maybe she was looking too much into it.

Brushing the thought aside she closed her eyes. "I understand. I see little wrong with seizing what you can in life. I should learn to be more assertive myself..." she remarked solemnly. Slowly, her eyes fluttered back open, a faint smile on her lips. "You hardly need to apologize, Captain. From the first time we've met you've shown me nothing but kindness." she averted her eyes. "...And I've been nothing but trouble."

It was then that she remembered; she hasn't done everything she'd intended for the day, has she? Coline reached towards her back, brows furrowing before her eyes scanned around the proximity of the moonlit room. Where was it...?

He turned back, listening to her intently and soon seizing her hands as they attempted to grope for the missing weapon.

"Coline, I want you to get that silly thought out of your head right this moment," he commanded... though not at all sternly. Concernedly, more like. "You have been NO trouble to me. None whatsoever. And even if you had been, the pleasure of your company makes up for everything by far."

"Which reminds me," he frowned, sitting down onto the bed, gripping her hands with passion "Why didn't you tell me about the trouble you were having? Why? And if you give me some silly reason like 'I didn't want to bother you,' I'm going to be extremely angry."

The gravity of his words occured to him, and his eye widened as he searched her face for any signs of feeling threatened. He then dropped his gaze, ashamed. "I'm sorry. I mean... I couldn't be angry with you," he whispered, eye flicking between her hands and the floor.

"Yeah, It's pretty, isn't it?" She wandered towards the kitchen. "And currently, no one in here seem to fond of me. Not that I can blame them particularly. I'm a SINner you see, though I was kicked out of those ranks. I am allowed here though, so no worries.

"You're a SINner? Really?" Alexi asked. "To be honest I'm a little surprised. But that's okay." She paused a moment. "...You don't happen to know two tall, shady guys from SIN, do you? I don't remember their names though." Her hands quivered inside her oven mitts just thinking about the two of them.

Harata laughed. "Hon, tall and shady describes most of Sin, and there were lots of men. Any more details? With any luck, Bapp has already kicked their a-s. Speaking of him, where is that kid?"

((bah upon all of you! there is a man wandering the halls, mostly delusional and none of you have even had the decency to direct him to an infirmary??? I shall take these matters into my own hands))

Ahh....sweet relief...was the sole thought crossing Xeiashi's mind as he flopped bonelessly onto a convenient...floor. crap...not again...all this pain and no...whats the word...food? yes food...whens the last time I've eaten?...should I count that hallucenation-steak...nah he thought for the umpteenth time today in his delusional state.

At the moment, his aches and headache from the near-drowning were almost gone; only to be replaced with hunger and thirst problems. Basically, his body was a vehicle that was burning its own structure for energy. He hadn't eaten since some time ago while on the Craft, and continuous excertions and pains had left his always-frail body near shutdown.

So he continued on, past the neon green penguins and technicolor mice as he went farther down the rabbit hole that was his mind at the time. Obviously, his mind had lost touch with reality, and as such the only time reality intruded upon his delusions was when he ran into something. Walls, doors, the scent of food near-at-hand; none of which could be perceived in his current condition.

His real body, of course, shambled on through the halls, bouncing off anything and anyone that got in his way.

((help! I don't want him to die! anybody in the temple please fix my delusional man! he's walking in a perfectly straight line until he hits something, so he can/is in any room you need him to be in...though he occasionally flops to the floor thinking theres a bed or chair there))
