"I'm sorry..." Barick said, realising that she was right. All he knew about her was that her name was Aislin, she was over a thousand years old, she's an elf, she has a pet dragon named Gabriel, she likes Cofkei, she was trapped and tortured by an evil man name... something for a few hundred years, and she can't cook. He looked at her. "Do you want to go somewhere nice with me tomorrow?" He asked. He knew the perfect place to take her.

Aislin's face was still slightly red from her blush. She looked down to where her hands rested on his chest and nodded. She felt bad for the tone she'd used on him, but she'd been trying to be serious, and all he'd thought about was more sex. "I already know I love you... But I want to know you... I don't even think I know your last name, and I'm sleeping with you..."

"Don't worry, I don't know your last name either, so it's fair." Barick said smiling. "So it's settled, I'm taking you out for lunch tomorrow." Barick kissed her again after he said that.

Aislin leaned down into the kiss she was starting to feel wanting again. After a moment she pulled away, and panted, "Rune..."

Aislin's heart fluttered, and she dipped her tongue into his mouth. She rejoiced in is taste, but pulled away in need of air again, "Barick Stoneheart... My beloved... You don't have a heart of stone..."

Barick thought about what she just said. Before he met Aislin, his heart was made of stone. He was unlovable, but not untouchable. He would have affairs often, and never even think back about the girl that he'd done it with. But Aislin changed him. Ever since Gab told him that Aislin wouldn't like him smoking, he stopped. He felt like he'd do anything for Aislin. He sat up with her and wrapped his arms around her. He kissed her one last time, but it was different. This time it was deeper, and more passionate than he'd ever kissed any other girl in his life.

Aislin moaned, and whimpered at the kiss, pressing herself harder against him. She'd never been kissed quiet like this, much less ever felt this loved. It was overwhelming. Like suddenly going from the top of a cliff into deep water. She'd used to be on the edge of a cliff, looking out at the frightening ocean, and a terrifying forest looming over her. She'd been unable to move forward, and too scared to look back.
Gab had helped her take that last step forward, but Barick was the voice in her head that had helped her to jump over the edge. That place she used to be was so far away now.

Barick slowly pulled back from the kiss, letting the sweet taste linger on his lips. "I think I should go make dinner soon..."

Aislin wrapped her arms around his neck, "Just a while longer..."
She breathed in his scent, wanting him closer and closer. "Barick... do you know what my name means? To my father's family names mean everything... so from a very young age we are taught about them, and what they mean. And we are taught that the meaning behind a name can be as important as our lives themselves. That knowing the meaning of another's name can save our lives."
Aislin buried her eyes in his neck, breathing on his collar bone, "So my question remains... Do you know the meaning of my name?"

"Dream of a Secret." Aislin said, she tightened her hold "Or The dreamer of a secret symbol... It means I am the keeper of a secret I'm not suppose to know... or one I'm suppose to dream up... But with Gab now... I have no secrets, and I've never dreamed of anything that seems like it would be a secret... So I wonder now... What is this secret? What am I supposed to do with it? Why is it being left with me?..."

Aislin leaned into his kiss, pushing him back so she would be laying on top of him. Eventually she had to pull away, panting, "You make me forget all that... You make me forget about everything but you... but you're touch. I'm lucky if I can remember how to talk when you do this to me... Barick... Make me forget again..."

Barick kissed her again and pulled her closer to him, pressing her body against his. His fingers traced an imaginary line down her back. "I love you." He whispered softly and passionately.
