Lady Bern Sucker Punch has gained my ire. I won't go into how it's just this sci-fi fanboy's wetdream, how the girls are suppose to be empowering themselves while in their minds dressing a bit skanky. What I hate is the trailer. I really hate it when movie trailers just show you a bunch of action and T&A but doesn't tell you what the hell the movie is suppose to be about. At work a guy told me how he wanted to see it. I asked him why. 'It looks cool' 'Yeah, but do you know what it's about?' '...' 'You know they show the ending in the trailer right?' Yeah the last part was me being a bit bitchy. But I just hate it when people get pulled in by special effects. Honestly, seeing the trailer for that film made me shake my head in disgust. It's like they tried to pile in every single seinen anime cliche into a "live action" film. I have to put that in quotes since the excessive amount of CGI that goes into action flicks now defeats the purpose.

I have to put that in quotes since the excessive amount of CGI that goes into action flicks now defeats the purpose. Yeah. For those actually interested in it and doesn't want spoilers do not read on. Out of actually wanting to know what it was about I looked it up as well as a few trailers (one of which shows the lead actress topless and in the near nude but to me it didn't look great given she has no real curves). Anyhow a girl named Baby Doll (which I sort of hate personally because I've named a character that long ago and now I feel I can't use it anymore without being associated with it) loses her family, is shipped off to a relative that ships her off to this 'mental hospital' which is a front for a bordello/burlesque joint. To plan her escape and empower herself she slips into these fantasies (all of the CG you saw in trailer) ranging from sci-fi in space, school girl in a skirt in the snow fighting against fully armored samurai, a sort of diesel punked WW2 battle, and some dragons or some crap. It seems contradictory to me that a movie about a girl's escape of prostitution and being objectified is targeted mostly to the guys with constant short skirts, panty shots, and clothing tight enough to count as a skin grafting. What pisses me off most is that it might be a bit hit thanks to the graphics. I'm only hoping for two recent movies coming out soon to fail and surprisingly enough Justin Beiber or however you spell it. I've come to be indifferent towards him.

Lmao, so the complaints and I just HAD to see the trailer. It's not even that it doesn't make sense. But the whole things just seems random and pointless.
The main actress's face annoys me, but that's a personal thing. Other than that I figure it's just another one of those movies being used for people who think sci-fi and anime are stupid, but secretly love all of it to get their thrills like the rest of us do.
But yea... the main acctress's face annoys me. I just thought you should all know that...

I'm having a really good nerd debate that's intellectually stimulating. Those are like sex for me so I figured I needed to tell people. I mean sex is still like sex but good debates where I actually have to do research? <3 It's like sex for my brain. I just figured that was something I had to share that wasn't negative in spite of a retarded sounding trailer.

So for some odd reason people are absurdly passionate about their D&D characters. Like I've seen people just out right loose relationships over stuff like D&D. It's kinda crazy, the large populace of online D&D players are kind of care bears, they kind of forget they're either talking about hard statistical facts, or just opinions. Neither of which you should legitimately loose your mind over. http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=21101673&_gaia_t_=1272&page=last

I very much like the D&D/Warhammer universes based off what I learned in that debate =O
So, why are the Orcs dead? Did everyone decide they were too dangerous or something?

My hypothesis for sucker punch is simple; at the end of the film all the ushers walk down the aisles smoking weed, snorting coke, shooting heroine, and they do this all while respectively ******** high class hookers of their choice until they make it front and center stage. With out loosing rhythm, training them to do this with out loose rhythm will be expensive as hell but sucker punch can afford it, as they will elaborate at the end of this that they spent your money on drugs and hookers explaining where they put all the money they could of spent on hiring legitimate actors.

Also search for the dark sun wiki. There is also a place to down load free dark sun 3.5 books that would explain a lot more of what happened.

I think blondie in that is the chick that played Violet in Series of Unfortunate Events. But from what I see that movie isn't about their acting talent.
Anyhow I'd kill for a decent movie. I like action, comedies and all, but I haven't been able to see a good mystery in ages. I want something that keeps me guessing until the very end.
