The only texts I know of that contain literal and figurative translations of those ancient legends are written in a language that is far older than Christianity. Of course, I would be happy to provide you with the titles, provided you can read and understand this:

It is human nature to forget the old stories, then reinvent them in a way that makes them more useful or appealing for the current time. Why do you think there are over 9000 different versions of vampire?

By that, he means the ******** media is full of douchebags who take good stories, ******** em in every hole the got, tie them to a missile, launch them through the shittiest s**t they can come up with, and call it good by throwing in some hot guy or girl, and focusing on that person for every commercial until the movie is released 2 years later and everyone's convinced it's good so they don't understand just how shitty it really is. Because it makes them money.

No, I mean that people forget. And that anyone who cares enough to learn the languages of the stories and track them down gets laughed at and scorned for not following the current popular trend. Take a certain vampire fad that has sucked the souls and minds of countless teenagers...
