Leon took no chances ducking swiftly as he saw the on coming attack. He placed his left hand out towards the man.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing!? Do you want me to blow you away?!” Leon shouted at the man with the five-dollar haircut. His hand began to illuminate eliminating some of the darkness and showing his attacker. “It aint a flash light pal, It’s a death ray.”
"Yeah and I'm Brett Favre!" He swung down with the bar just as Danny walked in. "Leon look out!" he shouted.

“I know….” He sighed as he let loose a controlled burst of power from his palm towards the chest of his attacker. “ Sixteen seasons with Green Bay and you’ve resorted to swinging crowbars at teenagers in Capital City, you should probably invest in a PS3 if you want to get some excitement back in your life.”
The man took the shot to the chest and flew back crashed through the front counter. To add injury to injury the lighting fixture fell on his head knocking his lights out. Which was slightly ironic.
Tessa looked around the lobby and saw a guard knocked out and a half beaten open safe laying on the floor. "Looks like a robbery."

"Jeez Farve I thought you could have taken that, I guess I'll have to ease it back a little more next time I hit a Football legend... I'm so... so disappointed." Leon stood up and looked towards Tessa and Danny. He walked next to them," It's a pity but we don't have time to thwart something this petty, We have business to attend to." He waved back at Laura to come along with the rest of them.
The group followed Leon upstairs to the top floor where a nondescript apartment door sat untouched by the violence and vandalism plaguing the rest of the building. Danny stepped forward and raised his hand to knock but a voice sounded from inside before he did. "Come on in Daniel. And bring your friends." He looked suspiciously at Leon and shrugged.

“We don’t have time. Danny, go ahead.” Leon said as he looked back at Laura. “ If they knew we were coming, then what makes you think we can just leave? Time is of the essence, you have roughly three days in a normal abduction case, but I’m estimating that we have roughly three to four hours before…. We don’t have time.” Leon shook his head, trying to rid himself of his thoughts; he looked at Danny and nodded back. He took a deep breath and waited for the unknown.

Danny turned the handle and swung the door open slowly. Inside was a nice apartment with a subtle office tone. Bookshelves with hundreds of books lined the walls and lazy sun rays washed in from the huge pane windows on the other side of the room. But everyone's eyes were drawn to the attractive woman sitting in a comfy chair in the center of the room. She looked up and smiled. "Daniel, Tessa, Leon and Laura. I'm surprised, I expected you fifteen minutes earlier."

Tessa stepped forward. "I don't care what we call you do you know where Danny's sister is or not? We don't have time to waste with some silly b***h."

“Listen, Cryptic.” Leon reached out his arm with an open palm pointing towards her. He whipped his off hand towards Tessa. “She does not speak for us all. I’m fine with you not telling her a damn thing.” He patted his chest, it was clear he liked to emphasize his statements with gestures.

“She is very rude, and frankly I wouldn’t tell her a damn thing. Now I don’t know how this works maybe you can see the future maybe it’s only localized to you, hell maybe you’re just a Reg. with really great connections. All I’m saying is if you don’t want to help us because of her fine we’ll leave, but you tell him what he needs to know, help him if nothing else. “Did none of you expect this; I mean… her name for starters.” Leon sighed…. If you need a compass look to the sky….. focus… North Star…. Too simple maybe it is only relevant to the person who asked the question. He scratched his head for a moment.

“Danny I need you to think on those words. A compass is a tool to help you find your destination… and looking to the sky would only help at night to see the north star to find you way… that being said sailors used to look to the heavens and guide themselves by using clusters of stars, constellations, that part doesn’t really mean anything to me so maybe I’m wrong.” Leon groaned and began to pace.

A sour look flashed on Danny's face. "Constellation... That's it! Come on, we don't have time to sit around!" He ran out the door followed quickly by Tessa.

Cryptic glanced over at Leon and blinked. "Ah yes. The great leader speaks. I don't make a habit of turning away people in need, but I do tend to tell them not exactly what they want to hear." She touched a metronome on the shelf and a melodic tic tocking filled the room. "What is it you wish to know?"

“Well Danny, here’s your shot. Let’s get what we came for and go.” Leon looked towards him with a soft smile encouraging him to speak with the slightly odd woman. All eyes on you and her Danny, seems to be the way she likes it….
Danny stepped forward. "A man came to the hotel where I live.."
"Le Grande." Cryptic replied.
Danny nodded and continued. "He came and took my sister and murdered about twenty people. I'd like to know who he is and where he went."

Cryptic Smiled and adjusted her glasses. "Is that all? Why you already know the answers to those questions. If you need a compass look to the sky. Past events color future ones, though they need not all be red."
"What the hell does that mean?" Tessa responded.

“Thank you for your help Cryptic seeing as no one else has the manners.” Laura smiled and ran out of the room in a hurry she could be heard yelling unladylike obscenities down the hall.

Cryptic smiled as she watched Laura leave the room. The pleasure was all mine child. she thought to herself, After all, without you the city is doomed.
