Keegan smirked a bit when Shelgon disappeared into the flames, but it was quickly erased when the dragon suddenly reappeared in front of Helios. The attack slammed into the much smaller fox and knocked him to the ground where he struggled to get up. And just like that, Keegan's mind went blank. It was as though everyone else around him disappeared, and wordlessly he walked over to his Pokemon and picked him up off of the ground, subconsciously brushing the sand from his fur. Helios looked up at his trainer for a second before burying his face in his paws. He knew he could have went on, but it was safe to assume that he was feeling the same way Keegan was.
In a blurry rush everything seemed to return to normal and Keegan blinked a few times and shook his head. He looked over at Jaeshan, wearing no expression whatsoever. "Call it a draw," he said flatly before dismissing the blonde with a wave of his hand. The Pokemon Center was his destination as he began to walk away, and he could hear the crowd murmuring in a mixture of surprise and disappointment but he didn't care. Right now he just wanted to be away from all of these people.

"So did I," Dakra said "I saved this Cyndaquil from some evil boys. Then I desided to go on a adventure with Sherlock, the Cyndaquil." He added, pointng to the spot where Sherlock had been. "Hey, where did he go?"

For quite a while Riza just stared at the spot where her line disappeared into the dark water. After what seemed like an eternity she reached into her bag and pulled out her iPod. After fiddling with the settings a bit, which was kind of hard to do seeing as how she only had one free hand, she had fairly quiet yet uplifting music to help her pass the time. Yawning, Riza leaned back on her rock, content to see that Sneasel was still sleeping nearby.
About three songs later, Riza felt a gentle tug on her line. She sat up to have a look, letting out a surprised cry when she saw a round, blue Pokemon with its tail caught on the fishing line. It was very cute, but also seemed to be in distress. Riza quickly stowed away her iPod and jumped off the rock, kicking off her sandals as she walked towards the water. "You poor thing," she said, a little unsure of how to handle the situation. Reeling it in might hurt it further, yet she didn't want to scare the Pokemon away either.
"Mare?" the Pokemon asked, its ears twitching intently as it saw the human girl. At first it tried to flee, but after a moment or two it realized it couldn't, and just stared at the girl with very sad eyes. "Mare..."

Feeling bad about not knowing how to address the snared Pokemon, Riza took her Pokedex and scanned the little blue Pokemon. "Marill," she said aloud, reading the information presented to her. "Aww, you must have been swimming along, minding your own business when you got all tangled up in my fishing line," she said, closing the device and putting it away. She set the fishing pole down on the ground and kicked off her flipflops, going a little ways into the water. Maybe it was the lack of sand, but the water seemed to be a lot colder here. She grabbed the line and gave it a gentle pull. "If we work together we can get you free," she told the Pokemon gently.
The Marill seemed to mull it over for a minute or two but nodded, and began to swim the best it could towards Riza. Riza helped out by pulling the Pokemon along, and once the Marill was within arm's reach, Riza scooped it up out of the water and carried it to shore. She sat down and went to work untangling the Marill's tail from the wire. Now Riza was aware of the fact that her rod had worked pretty well when it came to catching a Pokemon, but a Marill wasn't quite what Riza had in mind when she initially cast her line. By now Sneasel had awoken and was watching intently, exchanging a few words with the Marill. When the Pokemon's tail was free, Riza set the wire aside and smiled down at the adorable Pokemon. "There you go, all free," she said, giving it a pat on the head.
"Marill, mare!" it said, jumping up into Riza's arms and giving her a hug. Riza hadn't been expecting it and nearly dropped it in the process but she managed to hang on and gladly returned the hug.
"You're welcome, Marill!" Riza said, smiling genuinely for the first time that day. "You're welcome to keep us company if you want," she added before sitting down to fix her fishing rod. "Although I'm not sure what kind of Pokemon I'm looking to catch..."

"No, no," the ruby eyed Psychic replied. There was that laugh again, tinkling like bells and wind chimes in the light breeze. "I don't go shuffling through people's thoughts and definately not the ones that they've locked away. I could, though that's not very civilized now is it?" Karri paused before continuing, "I can select which thoughts to hear and from who as well as block others out. I can also direct my 'voice' to one person or a crowd at once and keep my own thoughts to myself. Sophisticated stuff, wouldn't you agree?" Mitsu, Liza and Tate taught me well, she thought to herself, maybe Mitsu could help me bring out my voice and speak like humans do too.
All the while speaking to M.A. Karri managed to do a great deal of tasks. Multitasking had been a lovely strength of hers. She managed to fix M.A.'s hair, returning it back to it's original state while adding a few curls and touch ups. With ease she also managed to hold two seperate conversations, one with M.A. and the other with her Swablu. "Ah, hello Ulani. I take it you remember me. Those strawberries from last night were wonderful weren't they, and yes, I do too love my voice," she replied to the cotton bird's thought. The tinkling laugh once more filling the heads of the small group. Oh! How she really did love that sound. It was amazing. She stopped for a few seconds taking notice of the two Pokemon and thier swollen bellies. "Oh, do you think Tora and her friend would like some help?" she asked as they two tried to drag themselves toward thier makeshift group of four and many Pokemon.

What was this? A light show? Confused but at the same time a little wary, Hans watched the impressive display. Just what was Kitsune doing? He had never seen this sort of thing before, and it was clear Kirsa had not, either. It quickly became clear that this was an attack, one that Hans had no idea how to avoid. There were too many balls of fire and he was far too close, the fireballs peppering against him. Of course it didn't hurt, but it was enough to startle the Houndour for several moments. He recovered quickly, though, and growled toward the Ninetails, waiting for his next command.
"Hans, komm hier!" Kirsa ordered, snapping her fingers. Her Pokemon was quick to obey, padding over to her side. "I think that's enough. He's still a baby, I don't want to push him too hard yet." She reached down and patted at the Houndour's head. "Thank you very much for the training, Sasha. And Kitsune too, of course."

Shelgon could only look on in confusion as Keegan put a stop to the battle, muttered something and began to walk away at a fairly brisk pace. The dragon would have shrugged if she could and she made her way over to Jaeshan's side, hoping her trainer would have an explanation of sorts.
Jaeshan was just as confused as Shelgon was, however, and for a moment he could only watch as Keegan carried Helios away in his arms. "Well if you wanna call it that way," he shouted after him, placing his hands on his hips. "Well, you did great, Shelgon," he said, making sure he had all his stuff with him before he decided to chase after Keegan. He figured the redhead was probably going to the Pokemon Center, and after all that battling, Combusken, Butterfree and Shelgon could all use a round of healing too. "Wait up, Keegan!" he shouted, kicking up sand behind him as he ran. "You're not getting rid of me that easily!"
Shelgon sighed and followed after her tall, blonde trainer. It was safe to say she was quite disappointed that the battle had ended so soon.

Before long Riza was sitting back up on top of the rock, her line once again in the water. Down below her, on the shore, Sneasel and the Marill were playing a game of rather one-sided tag. Marill was currently 'it' and it was rather funny to watch it try to chase Sneasel on those stubby legs it had. Sneasel was being a bit of a show off, using her agility to her advantage. Riza had opened her mouth to tell her Pokemon not to act so cocky when the dark and ice-type tripped over a rock and face planted the ground. "Serves you right!" Riza laughed. Sheepishly Sneasel pulled herself up and tried to rub the muck off of her face, grinning happily when the Marill used a fairly weak water gun to help clean off her new friend.
Just then Riza felt a rather strong pull on her line. This was unlike the gentle tug she felt before when they'd accidentally snared Marill, this was very different. "I think I've got something!" Riza exclaimed, standing up to give herself better leverage. Both Sneasel and Marill watched with curious eyes as Riza began to reel in her catch. With one final heave on the rod, the Pokemon flew out of the water with a splash and landed flopping around on the ground near the two Pokemon. "What the heck is it?" Riza pondered, once again taking out her Pokedex to scan the strange fish Pokemon she'd caught. "It's a barboach....?" she read, tilting her head to the side. "Uh, not exactly what I had in mind," she sighed, shaking her head. "I guess we'd better release the little guy..."

Releasing the caught barboach was going to be a lot tougher than Riza thought. This Pokemon wasn't good tempered like the Marill had been, in fact it was downright angry. Riza's attempts to free the Pokemon only resulted in getting her hands slapped by its slippery tail. "If you'd just hold still I could get you free!" Riza shouted at the Pokemon, but that only caused it to flop around harder. "Stupid fish!" she grumbled, standing up and backing away from it. "Well Sneasel, looks like you're going to have to lend a hand. You're faster than me so see if you can cut through the fishing line and free it."
"Snee." Sneasel nodded and stepped forward, holding out her paws in a defensive manner. "Sneasel snee," she said gently, approaching the barboach slowly. The fish stopped long enough to get a good look at Sneasel, and it nodded, seemingly agreeing with whatever it was Sneasel had said.
"Just be careful Sneasel," Riza warned. "You don't want to hurt-" With a quick swipe of her claws, Sneasel cut the fishing line into tiny bits. In theory the plan had worked, save for the nasty scratches that had been left all over the barboach's body. "-it," Riza finished with a sigh.

The good news was that barboach was free. The bad news was that now, it was free, and very angry. The fish's whiskers were quivering angrily even as it flopped back towards the shallows. Once it had made it into the water it dove in, disappearing completely. For a moment, Riza and the two Pokemon breathed a sigh of relief, but it would only be for a second.
As fast as it had vanished, the barboach quickly appeared again, leaping up out of the water and opening its round mouth to shoot out a powerful jet of water right into Sneasel's chest. Grunting from the sneak attack Sneasel staggered back right into Marill's arms. "Mare! Mare?" Marill asked, helping sneasel get back up to her feet.
"Snee," Sneasel nodded, but cried out as now a handful of muck came flying towards the duo, this attack splatting Marill right in the face.
"Oh, Marill!" Riza cried, running over to the aqua mouse and picking it up. "Are you all right?" Marill nodded through tightly closed eyes, as opening them would allow the mud to get into her eyes. "All right Sneasel, it's time to fight back!" she shouted. "Use taunt, get it to come closer to you!"
"Sneeeee seeeeel!" Sneasel shouted in a singsong voice, pulling down her eyelid and sticking her tongue out at the barboach. When that didn't work she turned around and shook her tail at the fish. "Snee!"
Now that got the desired effect, and soon the barboach had swam back into the shallows and was now firing water guns at Sneasel in an array that reminded Riza of shots from a machine gun. "That Pokemon isn't half bad," Riza murmured.

Now the barboach may have been fast in the water, but Sneasel was fast on land, and each water gun that was fired off by the fish was easily avoided by the extremely agile Sneasel. The only problem was finding a way to fight back while the two were on different terrain. "Oh, I know! Sneasel, use your ice to freeze some of the water!" Riza shouted, trying to clean the mud from the Marill's face.
Sneasel nodded and ran to the edge of the water. Her fist began to glow and she slammed it down into the water, causing a thin layer of ice to spread out in front of her. The power of it was weak though and the ice didn't go very far or last very long. In response the Barboach fired off more water guns at Sneasel, who now had a harder time ducking and weaving out of the way. "You've got to give it more power," Riza told her Pokemon. "You can do it!"
Sneasel shook her head fiercely, ducking as this time a glob of mud flew over her head. There was just too much water, and it was too warm. She just wasn't strong enough to do what her trainer wanted her to do. Once again she focused her power into her fist, trying to freeze the water around her. It spread a little further this time, and lasted for a few more seconds before it melted away. "Snee!" Sneasel wailed, flailing her arms around. She just couldn't do it.

"Come on, Sneasel! Don't give up!" Riza shouted. "Do you want that puny little fish to beat you?!"
"Snee!" Sneasel shook her head, avoiding another water gun. She glared at the water, and closed her eyes. No, there was no way she was strong enough to freeze that water. Not yet, anyway. The clever sneasel opened her eyes and let out a sharp growl before she began to dash towards the barboach. Her movements suddenly became nearly too fast to track, and a line of white light trailed out behind her as she ran through, no not through, on top of the water! Using the amazing speed of her quick attack, Sneasel kept herself on top of the water long enough to rear her fist back and slam it into the barboach with an explosion of icy crystals. The barboach was sent flying away like a comet where it splashed down into the water some distance away.
When Sneasel's momentum ceased, however, so did her temporary ability to walk on water and she splashed down under the surface and disappeared. "Sneasel!" Riza cried, panic flaring in her heart. "Sneasel!"

At Karri's comment Robin frowned slightly wondering what she was talking about but having a feeling that Luffy was involved. Turning to look she caught sight of something that was surprisingly normal. Sighing she reached to her belt and recalled Brook and Raz, she would need both arms to carry Luffy and she didn't want those two causing any more trouble. "I am sorry you guys, I need to take care of this guy." She muttered before giving a small wave to them before going to pick up her fat blob of an Aipom. "How is it that you can eat so much!" She muttered as she shifted her weight and lifted the heavy Aipom. Looking around Robin wondered if she could find a battle of some sort, there were so many trainers hanging around she was sure that she could find some sort of battle.
"Eww! This Tentacool keeps following me!" Came a screech from the water edge. Some girl was coming out of the water a Tentacool was indeed behind her, though it was staying in the water. "Get away from me you gross pokemon!" She yelled at it. The Tentacool seemed a little depressed for a second before it started waving his tentacles at her.
Deciding that this might be a good time to see if she could work off some of Luffy's weight she made her way over to the girl. "Umm I could take care of your Tentacool problem, my pokemon ate to much and needs to work off some energy." This was a bit embarrassing especially since Luffy had eaten so much.
The girl looked over at Robin for a moment before frowning. "Ate to much? It looks like he ate everything at the beach!" Robin blushed at that comment and looked away. "Still, I do want to swim and that Tentacool won't leave me alone! If you can distract it long enough for me to find another spot then its all fine." That said she flipped her hair before heading out.
Frowning slightly at the girls behavior Robin watched her go before she turned her attention to the Tentacool. The water pokemon was starting to swim away in order to try to follow the girl. "Ah no!" Putting Luffy on the ground she pointed at the Tentacool and ordered her overly stuffed pokemon to attack. "Luffy stop its escape with a Fake Out." Luffy just looked up at her for a second before shrugging slightly and dashing out into his Fake Out attack. Like always the attack connected and the Tentacool gave a sort of water sound when it connected. "Great job Luffy! Now lets follow it up with a Scratch attack!" Robin cheered as her pokemon went in for another attack using the Tentacools flinch to his advantage.
Unfortunately while Luffy was close the Tentacool took advantage and launched an Acid attack at Luffy. The glob of acid flew and landed right on Luffy's larger then normal belly. When the Aipom felt the burning sensation on himself he gave a small cry and did his best to splash water on himself. The water didn't help though, in fact it only made matters worse. Giving out a surprised cry Luffy did his best to ignore the pain as he got into a fighting stance. He was going to beat this stupid squid pokemon!

Before Riza could even think of what to do the marill jumped out of her arms and headed for the water. She watched helplessly from the shoreline as the blue Pokemon quickly swam out to the spot where Sneasel had vanished, its blue bobble tail helping to keep it afloat. Then very suddenly the marill dived down, the only thing left visible being its tail. For a few terrifying seconds only a few bubbles appeared at the surface, but suddenly Marill appeared, holding tightly to Sneasel. Forgetting about everything Riza dropped her fishing rod on the ground and rushed out into the water to meet them. When they got back to shore Riza set Sneasel on the ground and checked her over. She was unconscious, but breathing. Feeling mostly relieved Riza backed off to give her Pokemon a bit of air. "Thank you, Marill! You saved her!"
"Marill marill," the Pokemon replied, giving a bit of a bow. It sat down on the ground, its ears twitching intently, although it was probably just a natural thing for it to be on the lookout for danger.
'I shouldn't have pushed Sneasel so hard,' Riza thought miserably as she stared at her unconscious Pokemon. She did know one thing though, and it was that she needed to get her to the Pokemon Center and fast. She very quickly gathered up her things and put her sandals back on, looking very much like a drowned rat as she scooped up Sneasel and waved to the Marill. "Thank you again, Marill! Take care of yourself!" The Pokemon smiled and waved back, and Riza began to run back the way she came towards the Pokemon Center.

The sun shone bright and early and Mossdeep was the first to catch it's rays. The warmth was pleasant, though a little too hot for the taste of the tourists who had come monthly to view the Space Center. They launched rockets up every week and the growing crowd only proved that a launch was coming up in the next few days. Tourists always gathered before a launch.
And they were always so damn loud! Touya woke up with a groan. Having spent the night training he and his new trainees had wanted to sleep in. The Pokemon were fine snoozing in thier Pokeballs which were presumably quite and undisturbed, however, Touya himself was not quiteas lucky. He rose from his navy blue bed And threw on a pair of jeans and a crisp, clean white tee shirt. He emerged from his small quaint house on the northern shore of the island. Waters were rougher on that side compare to the family house on the southern shore of the island. But he liked it, it was usually quiet during the winter when tourism was a little slower and the waters growing harsher. It was pleasent and provided an excellent climate in which to train his Dragon Pokemon. It also proved to be a good area to give Mitsu's Nightmare some training as well.
Mornings were always nice, the air always the freshest before it was polluted by the hot breaths of the island's inhabitants. Deciding that lingering around was no longer enjoyable he returned to his home to to begin the day. He didn't have much on his schedule. Eat. Train his Pokemon as well as Mitsu's. Eat. Watch Roawn's speech. Shower. Eat. And lastly, sleep. It was a fairly easy going schedule, but then again he didn't have much planned until the airing of the famed professor's speech. He quickly fried up a few eggs and bacon before eating them at his own slow pace. He didn't necessarily enjoy the food but he didn't dislike it either. It was simple and quick and it'd have to do for now.
