((My apologies for the delay, life issues always seem to interrupt a good story))
The doctor stopped his searching through the books for a moment, turning towards Kioko. "Yes, and no. Frankly, my devices are much more expansive back at the labs." He said simply before turning back to the books, continuing his search through them as if he'd never looked away. After a short moment he stopped and picked one out from among the higher shelves. Obviously old and leatherbound it was dried nearly to dust, there was little chance something like this held any real common day scientific value. "It is time we returned to the labs, I imagine from how often you return there of your own accord you won't really mind, will you?" He directed the question at the experiments, but walked right past them to approach the wall. Oddly enough, he walked straight through it, disappearing to the other side, most likely expecting the others to follow.

((where did the free experiments go?))
Kioko hesitated at his answer. The lab again, sighing, she gave up and began walking towards the wall. What's one visit to the lab again? she had already technically surrendered to the doctor to let the others escape, she had to follow him. She just hoped that the others would make it to safety soon.
"let's go crow." she said to him before disappearing into the wall.

Back to the lab? Crow knew what waited for him there, it seemed he'd never be able to leave that place behind. Everything always seemed to go back to that place, he felt that much like the doctor's experiments, there was far more corrupted activity there than could be seen on the surface. Regardless he had few options and obeying the doctor was the safest one for now. He followed Kioko into the wall, unknowing of what was on the other side.

((haha, i was wondering what happened to you guys, basically, you guys left off leaving the lab thru the cave while me, crow and the doc teleported to the library part where he tested out abilities with this weird thing with a ton of symbols. Umm, it showed our powers, incuding the darker parts of our powers; ie. all elementals had all elements including dark, while crow had the evil part to counter his good abilities. I got injured and so did crow, he was about to get killed, and i pushed the doc to stop it and it destroyed that portion of the library, and now we are heading back to the doc'slab for more tests. ))

Strobe sat eating in the hotel room, looking around at the other experiments there. He turned his attention back to his sister.
"How did you learn to control your ability, sis?" He asked through a mouthful of pizza.
"It wasn't easy." She said, shrugging her shoulders.
"I thought only the labs possessed the technology to help people control their powers."
"Well, this wasn't done through tech," Karin said, smiling. "His name is Charles Ferdinand. He's a seeker. He finds people, that's his Natural ability. Once he finds other Naturals, he helps them in any way he can."

Doctor K led the two of them through a path that was almost completely pitch black, if one wished to make it through they would have to use the barely moving figures ahead of them, or know the path by memory. The always inquisitive doctor never so much as cleared his throat as they made their way through, if anything he was determined to make it back to the lab without delay. Depending on their state of mind, it may have seemed to have taken hours to make it through the long path, but finally the footsteps of the doctor stopped, he trusted the experiments would have the sense to follow his lead, he did not move for several moments. "Hmph, this could be trouble..." He waited a few seconds after the utterance, then stepped forward, into a finely decorated room. Polished wood furniture and plush seating made this area look like a high end living room. He passed through it and made his way to the opposite door, stopping again briefly before opening his way into a laboratory room, a particularly large one, his. The equipment here was indeed extensive as he had inferred, most of the scientists here couldn't name half of the utensils aligned neatly in their coves. He proceeded to a table where there was a paper left, he seemed to pay little attention to the experiments now.

"What are we gonna do about Crow and Kioko?" Karin posed the question to no one in particular, but merely as a focusing mechanism: she was trying to concentrate, trying to formulate a plan.
"Well, I don't see anything that we could do." Angelo answered anyway. "You may not know Doc K, but he's not the kind of dude you get in the way of. If he has something planned, he'll do it, no matter who he has to bowl through to get it done. Besides, I don't think you have to worry. He cares about us, in his own sick and twisted way."

Kioko stepped through the threshold and stared in awe at the living room decor. It was magnificent, in all her years, she wasn't able to recall ever learning about this part of the laboratory. but considering it was the doctor's own private study, she took a guess as to why n one knew about it. She walked forward closer to the doctor taking in the surroundings. Her curiosity got the best of her as she went and read the titles of the books and quickly glanced on the open papers that were there.
they're all a bunch of papers on programs for new experiments. she thought for herself.
Of course, the doctor's books would also be about the powers that were there and the naturals. probably studying how to unlock there full potential without making the experiment unstable. she shuddered at the thought.

Crow was made very nervous by the decor of the doctor's quarters, he wasn't sure that they were in the lab at all. A thought of the doctor keeping them as his personal pets crept its way into his mind, this room just didn't make him feel at all okay. Luckily, Doctor K moved on and Crow followed about halfway, staying in the strange room. Kioko read the covers of some of the books on the shelves, it was probably a good idea to know what the doctor was studying, it would likely be affecting them directly soon. Crow turned back to the doctor, he was reading something and seemed exasperated. Maybe some daily task would give himself and Kioko a breather to contemplate what they intended to do, he had not yet given up on freeing all of his friends.

"Work..." The doctor seemed to reply emptily. Only a few seconds later he turned and gave more conscience to the question. "Those consist of many things, but the majority of it is simple work: hypothesis, theory, and day to day routine procedure, even in such an active position can't one is still subject to such meaninglessly mandatory tasks. You should not concern yourself with that, it pales in comparison to the impending duties you are about to assist me in. Unfortunately it will have to wait, before we can attend to that there are the mundane activities that I spoke of before. If you would follow me..." Doctor K walked the rest of the way across the laboratory room and opened the door, moving into the hallway. It was unusual to allow experiments move on their without heavy restraint, but the security here would be prepared for another escape attempt if it did occur.

"right." she said taking in what she was able to make sense of his words.
She once again followed the doctor into another hallway. it seemed his lab was always made of all these hallways. another thing added to make his laboratory even creepier. as she entered the hallway, she once again began to look at the many things that aligned the walls.
