She saw him sitting there, after a few moments. When she did, she grinned, shyly, ducking her head, but not enough to hide it.
"What on earth are you wasting film on me for?"

Chuckling, Jak leaned back, snapping a few more shots of her then placing the camera carefully under the seat. "No film wasted if I like what I see" he replied with a wink.

She blushed softly, and laughed.
"Nothing photogenic here but my flowers," she cheeped, standing and brushign her dress off gently, "Where's Suru?"

"The loveliest flower being wrapped in grey," he countered with a grin.
"He's sleeping right now. He said this morning he has some free time ahead, which, knowing him means he was up at least half the night working."

She noded thoughtfully, brushing her fingers through a few strands of ivy like they were a lover's hair, tender and soft.
"He's been up late a lot of nights. He doesn't think anyone hears. Canti sleeps like the dead, but I hear him working. Is he all right?"

Jak frowned, his eyes thoughtful.
"I hope so Tess. He doesnt like me to know, but...the trip will do him good. He needs to get away from here."

She looked up, seeming surprised, letting the vines slip through her fingers and back agaisnt the stone of the wall.
"Trip? Are you two taking off somewhere?"
She didn't sound worried or unhappy, merely curious. She understood that she was still new and the family, and didn't expect to be up on everything, all the time yet.

"We should have mentioned it at breakfast. This morning I invited Suru to come with me to Japan."

Tessie beamed, excitedly.
"How wonderful!" she explaimed, clapping her hands together, "It'll be just the thing he needs!"
She ducked her head, proceeding softly.
"I have been very concerned fom him. He looks so tired all the time."

Jak smiled, pleased at her reaction.
"We both need some time away. Japan will provide a distraction for him, for us both."
Rising from the lounger, he hugged her lightly, dropping a kiss on her hair.
"I'll do my best to see he gets some rest now," he murmured softly. Releasing her he moved to the house, slipping into the kitchen to pour himself some coffee.

Suru had had time to rest up and plodded down the stairs as Jak moved across the kitchen. He grinned, a little shyly, sitting down and muttered,
"Afternoon, gorgeous."

Jak grinned. Pouring a second cup of coffee, he placed it on the table in front of Suru, bending to kiss him lightly before slipping in a chair across from him. "Sleep well love?"

He kissed him back, humming softly as he wrapped his hands around his coffee cup.
"Mmmmmhm. Were you outside with Tess?"

Jak smiled across the table, nodding. "Mmmm. She's a sweet girl."
Sipping his coffee, he studied the other man, his eyes searching the other's.
"She worries about you. She tells me you've been up late working alot lately."

Suru looked a little embarassed and smiling down into his coffee cup.
"Maybe a little. Tess worries more than she should about me. But that's what makes her so sweet, I guess. She's only been here a little while, and I already wouldn't know what to do without her."
