Felina smiled watching Cid roll his little bubble around in the air by running around in side "It would have been fine. He seems to have a knack for controlling it on his own if hes willing to put the energy in. But to work in most schools you need some kind of qualification to work there. I could probably help out at the academy here but I get the impression that we would both prefer to live somewhere further away from there"
Satoshi popped her head out the kitchen gesturing for Gil to join her "well feel free to help me make a quick drink that we can take with us" she suggested grabbing what fruit she had stored. "At least with ninja that belong to a village you have a basic idea who are allies with who and what sort of business they are into. Never know what independent ones do since they have no ties as such"

Oassu snickered "He sure must be working off his weight running around like that, will keep him fit" he said taking a small break to sit on the wall at the side "And sure a qualification might be needed but I'm sure you could get that wavered with the right experience being a princess though you are right I don't have plans to really stick around here" he said.
Gil nodded hoisting himself up to follow Satoshi eventually arriving behind her and wrapping his arms around her while she worked "I suppose so, easy to know who enemies are too when there's battle lines drawn, independent ninjas have a lot more freedom in that sense" he said idly rubbing Satoshi's stomach shoulders and arms as he watched her grab the fruit.
Zadina tilted his head confused "I think I can relax fairly well, but the Queen is always noble, possibly even moreso than the King" he giggled quietly "Still I'm sure it will be fun, I'll take you to some of the higher end shops the nobility use for their clothes" he said happily.
Jeckhart nodded in agreement "Yes Hebal it's only fair you treat yourself as well seeing as it is the dragon festival after all, though I'm sure Satoshi's dress would look fine as well, she tends to make very dignified clothes I thought" he said
Itaka tilted his head looking at the statue "Looks a little like you, guess that's why he got you it" he said unwrapping another present from Oassu which turned out to be a new belt for him "Well well, I'm surprised he got me anything at all, but I suppose it's ok" he said nodding and setting the belt to one side on the floor.

Seph blinked putting the two statues on the top of a chest of draws "You know Oassu probably just stole them from somewhere right? I don't think he's been using his little sugar momma for things at least" she joked. "I think that just leaves Satoshi and Mari for presents now unless Barbaros left you something good I don't know about. You can pick which one to open next"
Amane paused thinking it over "You know, you're right. Your uncle seems the more relaxed then your aunt and a bit less formal. Is that how it normally is between the two of them? " she asked before giving Hebal a hug "See it is decided, you have to get something too!"
Hebal shook her head shuffling slightly uncomfortably "Well you see if we are going to the really posh places for gowns then I can only really afford to buy one of them since unlike the rest of the party I didn't take advantage of Milly's skills. And given the choice I would rather Amane had the really good one" she almost mumbled.

"I can't blame you really, Wouldn't be nice having my dad and so many other people being able to check up on us all the time. At least elsewhere unless like a family member came to visit I think we can get away with leading a comfortable and quiet lifestyle. Also if you avoid high profile crimes" Felina added pretending to chase Cid in his bubble. "Well plenty time to learn and get qualifications. Ever thought about doing something too?"
Satoshi sighed having to loosen Gil's grip on her to cram the fruit into her blender "That is exactly why they are not liked. My village would not approve of me travelling around Oassu if they knew his origins. Would try to get me to drag him over and be enlisted into our village. That's what usually places try to do if independent ones are discovered around here"

Oassu laughed watching Cid slowly roll away from Felina "You'll work that bunny to death running around like that," he said thinking on what Felina said "Though no can't say I have, don't have any real education or qualifications, and I'd rather people didn't do background checks on me otherwise they won't find much as is" he said relaxing at the side.
Gil smirked "I hardly imagine that'd go down well for anyone, why would a free ninja like being forced to be part of a set group that they never knew nor cared about, sounds close to slavery I bet they'd cause a lot of trouble for internal affairs too" he said kissing Satoshi's shoulder while he watched the fruit blend.
Itaka shrugged "I think he got some diamonds from Milly he's doing ok now, like I said, Adventuring is profitable though finding a magic pot is especially profitable" he said lying back on the bed "He's not had a chance to send something I reckon, he only left us a while ago and he'll have been busy getting his family out of Agralia" he sighed "Doubt it's a fun festival for them".
Zadina scratched his chin for a moment "Well you could always wear Satoshi's dress I'm sure she'd appreciate it, but how about I buy Amane's dress then? It'll be my present to her" he offered excitedly.
Jeckhart nodded in agreement patting Hebal on the shoulder "Cheer up Hebal, mumbling doesn't suit you besides Zadina has offered to take care of it, I imagine there will probably be some form of discount for royalty anyway" he said

Seph smiled playfully swishing her tail around at Itaka while she hunted out the remaining gifts "Correction finding magic pots and making them happy is profitable. Get it wrong though and that's your entire party wiped out in a matter of seconds. Gotta be a smart party to take advantage of them" she stated choosing to unwrap Satoshi's gift next. "But you know send Barbaros my regards when you next hear from him. Just don't mention I ended up getting these as a gift.... I think they are supposed to be horn warmers" she sighed.
Hebal paused thinking it over a little reluctant to let Zadina pay for everything "Well.... ok since its the dragon festival and I will buy myself one too why not" she decided with her ears perking up. "Though I still get to be head stylist for the day!" she insisted saluting them.
Amane giggled returning the gesture "Well sure you can be head stylist. No offence but girls are better at dressing other girls hehe and thank you Zadina" she smiled stopping to give him a hug then whisper "That was really kind of you"

Felina gasped "Oh I would not be so harsh and besides. Whenever you are feeling tired I can always give you a little bit of a kick with my magic. It's not even a spell that is difficult unless the person hasn't slept in a long time" she boasted by demonstrating on Cid then watching him charge towards Oassu. "I don't think they need to give you background checks unless you are applying for a job. Would be easy enough to just hire a tutor sometime if you were really worried about being checked out. People would surely come to teach you"
Satoshi smiled summoning a clone next to them so to hug Gil from behind "Well all the more reason to keep western ninja as far away from a ninja village as possible without a big string of lies about belonging to an allied village. Lucky for them that you are more your type than Oassu heh. "My village isn't all bad though. Has some good points and likes some visitors if not many"
"Pardon me for interrupting your celebration but your exit is just over here" Rutizo informed them indicating to just around the corner once they were down the stairs eager to go back to celebrations.

Oassu gasped surprised as he caught Cid speeding towards him and rewarded him with a cuddle "It's ok little guy, you got me, don't worry" he said stroking the bunny "Well what did you have in mind for me to do?" he asked Felina "I certainly hadn't given much thought to any stuff like that" he shrugged.
Gil nodded glancing behind at the clone before reaching two arms back behind him to return the cuddle "I'm sure your village is fine after all, seems pleasant enough with me here though I'd be surprised if they let any visitors stay here. Surely a stranger with no connection to any other ninja here would be suspicious" he said
Zadina nodded "Thank you Rutizo, I hope we'll see you at the ball later" he told the guard before heading in the indicated direction. Zadina shook his head as he returned Amane's hug before whispering "Don't mention it, happy dragon festival" in return "Still of course you'll get to by the stylist Miss Hebal, I don't really know anything about girl's fashion anyway" he said
Itaka chuckled looking up at Satoshi's gift "Do your horns even get cold? I thought they were just like sheer bone with no nerves or anything in them." he said looking at the peculiar woollen sleeves "Perhaps you could use them as socks or something else" he suggested.

Seph shook her head pushing Satoshi's gift to one side "Nope, I don't get cold much full stop let alone the horns heh, even she can be silly sometimes. I think you got the better presents this year. At least you can wear the scarf she made you"
Hebal cheered skipping the rest of the way until she was outside earning many an odd glance from the guards under their helmets "Then leave it to Hebal and hopefully your elven fashion places have a few things fairly similar to viera clothes otherwise it might take us a while longer to find the right outfit" she sung trying to draw pictures in the snow while she waited for everyone else.
Amane snickered noticing the reaction "Bet they weren't expecting that kind of behaviour from one of their guests. I think you got mum all hyped up again not that its too hard. Just do me a favour and make sure she doesn't get something yellow or green because they really don't suit her colour" she quietly requested.

Felina shrugged skating over to them "Well I didn't have anything specific in mind for you to learn but I figured you might have had at least something you've always wanted to do or learn about. Most people are curious about lots of things but never get the opportunity to do anything about it or at least that's what I always thought about humans.. Hope that didn't offend you" she quickly added sitting on the side next to him.
Satoshi nodded "I never said they wouldn't be watched but we aren't quite heartless as to leave a stranger to die in the woods most of the time and traders and the odd stray mognet moogle can usually be of use to the village and if proven trustworthy. Good thing you got me to keep you right in terms of manners also" she winked at him pouring the blended contents into two small plastic cups. "cheers"
Rutizo raised his eyebrow watching Hebal run off "Heh good luck keeping that one under control later tonight. Half the nobility will probably be scared she's trying to declare war on them" he joked before giving Zadina a bow. "Perhaps you will, perhaps not. It was never my scene and I prefer to keep a low profile. Enjoy whats left of your dragon festival Lord Zadina and guests."

Oassu shook his head "I kept my goals simple, you don't really hope for much being raised a thief though I've already had plenty of time to experience more than I'd ever thought I would so for now I'm just happy adventuring with you and the others," he said taking Felina's hand and giving it a squeeze "Besides I'm sure I'll have all my time taken up teaching the children" he muttered bashfully stroking Cid.
Gil smiled taking the cup "So what's in this mystery drink? Though I'd think a ninja village would be more suspicious in case the random stragglers are spies for another village or something since you are permanently at war and the like" he said pulling both the clone and Satoshi into a cuddle.
Zadina nodded politely "Thank you Ser Rutizo but I'm sure Miss Hebal will do wonderfully at the ball later" he said before following Hebal out the door "Though you might need to be the one taking care of her later Mr Jeckhart" he told the surprised demon as they walked "And I suppose we could always try the Viera district and see if they have any shops open and some nice dresses for you" he said scratching his chin "I mean your bodies aren't especially different from elves aside from the ears and the feet so I shouldn't see why elven fashion wouldn't fit you" he pondered as they stepped out into the gardens again idly watching Hebal.
Itaka sat up on the bed "Hmm sure that's quite a nice scarf, I half expected a cheesy Winter jumper or something from her, though I hardly ever wear scarves I suppose I could make an effort since it's quite nice" he said "Though shame on you for opening my present" he chuckled giving Seph a playful push.

Seph stuck her tongue out retaliating by pouncing on top of Itaka "Im sure it will be very nice and since its Satoshi made it will be good fabric too. Still if it bothers you that much I'll let you open Mari's presents for each of us seeing as they are the last ones from the group to open" she suggested wrapping the scarf around Itaka then jumped off to hand both gift boxes over.
Amane scratched her ears "Well how about we try the elf shops you know best to start with and then visit the viera district as a backup plan? I would rather something a little bit different to my usual viera attire. And I bet you would be good at looking after mum and keeping her from hurting herself/ accidentally bumping into people" she giggled.
"Hey guys come on already, its so pretty seeing the lights from the forest and I wanna see some of the festival as well as the shops on the way and you guys are going so slow. Speeding up will also make you warmed" Hebal called over impatiently only stopping to sniff a single white flower poking out the snow"

Felina laughed overhearing "Oh well we don't have to be in any hurry to have any children now do we. Can have a good century or two before having to think about kids and just do what we feel if we like. Plus I doubt it will really take that long to teach them. But if theres anything you want to do just let me hear about it and you never know, I might be able to pull some strings here and there." she cheerfully pointed out.
"Oh its just a load of fruit blended together into like a juicy thing. Just try it because I cant even remember half the fruits I just put in a few seconds ago since you were distracting me. Though don't worry about the village, we have ways to background check people and like I said can give them memory loss if need be" Satoshi shrugged taking a drink.. "Lets not get too into my village ways or I could be talking all day. Try your drink and let me know how it is"

Oassu shook his head "I'm just thinking, you know, going to have to get used to that massive timespan you elves have when it comes down to it" he said stretching as he hopped up onto the ice with Cid "Still I'm starting to feel like some lunch so why don't we head for some of that" he said lazily doing another lap of rink with Cid in hand.
Gil chuckled cuddling both Satoshi and her clone while he sipped his drink "Mmm it's nice, whatever you put in it, healthy too, often have to scavenge for fruit when I get the chance since it's nice and sweet. That's rare when you are out in the wild" he said idly caressing both Satoshi and her clone "Still I don't mind learning about your ways, getting to experience different cultures is one of the big benefits of being a mercenary. I've heard more than one mercenary tell me he set out on the job just to travel" he said placing his half-full glass down on the counter to give Satoshi a little kiss.
Itaka chuckled sitting up again and rubbing his shoulders gently where Seph's claws had landed on him "Sure why not sounds like a plan" he said reaching up to feel the scarf wrapped around him "Good fabric, nice and soft and not itchy like some scarves can be, though not sure how well a scarf suits me" he said uncertainly examining it.
Zadina nodded "That sounds like a good plan Amane and I was kinda hoping you'd like our culture and fashion sense too to be honest" he said with a smile.
Jeckhart rubbed the back of his head "Well to be honest I'm not sure anyone can control your mother, but I'll do my best to keep her out of trouble as you wish" he said
Zadina nodded approvingly "That's the Spirit Mr Jeckhart but we should hurry lest I fear Miss Hebal will leave us all behind" he said increasing the pace to catch up with her.

Seph smiled swishing her tail while she happily ripped open the last present for her "Well nothing beats a home made cake for a present I guess but I have no idea where she got the time to make it and doubt she would let Hebal go anywhere near it heh" she wondered putting the cake to one side for the time being in favour of another chocolate. "I think your all trying to make me fat. Especially if they got you cake too"
Amane paused "Well I like your culture so far though I would like to see more such as how normal people celebrate stuff like this in the streets and stuff and you guys are definitely welcoming. And you just need to keep mum entertained for long enough and she can stand still a while hehe"
Hebal yawned and stretched happily "Finally you made it slowpokes. So whatcha whispering about all huddled together then" she curiously asked.
