Felina gave Oassu a small round of applause seeing as Oassu managed to maintain his balance "You are indeed a pretty fine skater. Bet that would shock my mother if he knew" she giggled copying his moves. "I mean if people were smart my dad is always looking for demon technology since they were the only bunch to try and combine magic and machinery. But that's really rare now since most the stuff in this world was destroyed"
Satoshi tilted her head opening up the door allowing Enkidu to take the lead up the stairs to her floor "Measures like what? Making sure they are tightly strapped to your body? I mean even the finest of pickpockets would struggle to steal a sword from a sheath. Last time I saw one try and do that to a ninja I think they had their hand cut off"
Alusaadi paused before giving an approving nod "Then Zadina has indeed done a good job in teaching you. The next challenge will be to see if you can make other things than yourself glow also" she suggested demonstrating with a small tap on Meric's beak causing it to glow brightly for a few seconds. "Though perhaps Zadina you could practice your magic more before engaging in sword activities. But after the dragon festival of course though I hope I am not keeping you from celebrating"

Oassu chuckled swivelling back round to normal skating "No wonder everyone is so fearful of the elven king if he's looking into stuff like that, I'd thought they'd put like a sanction on demon tech back when the war ended because it would be too dangerous and give a nation the edge over others" he said stumbling slightly but regaining his balance.
Gil chuckled tapping his nose "Well some secrets I'll keep to myself thanks though if it were me I'd probably just steal the sheathe as well if it meant less risk on being caught." he said watching Enkidu bound up the stairs before them "Still lets get in and put these clothes down" he said letting Satoshi take the lead.
Zadina frowned tilting his head in puzzlement "Well I'd like to think I'm pretty good at magic as is for a sage, most sages are over twice my age" he muttered while Merric kwehhed excitedly as his beak lit up but kwehhing sadly when it returned to normal "But of course you aren't keeping us Auntie we wanted to come and see you, how is the baby doing?" he said turning
his attention to the small bump.
Itaka nodded hefting himself up after Seph "Right then lets hurry on, want to see what the rich princess got us" he chuckled "Though couldn't you try something a bit less dangerous? Like simply lifting off the ground instead of jumping into it?" he said stroking Seph's wings "Really lucky you didn't break these things while learning if it was that bad" he teased.

Seph shrugged "Hey I don't know, I always just assumed that it was for a reason like gliding and flapping were easier than taking off. I guessed my mum knew what she was doing. But fine we can go see what the princess got you. Would laugh so hard if she got you luxury socks or something a bit on the disappointing side" she smirked almost floating up the stairs to their room. "Felina's is the pink one"
Hebal giggled watching Amane waving the ball of light on her fingers around taking delight from him following her around with his head "Your not keeping us your highness. Were going to be shopping for nice clothes for later but that doesn't mean we couldn't say hi first. Seem to have plenty time to do things today"
Amane nodded cheerfully "Yeah and I think you have really nice cloaks and other fashions and I have never had a gown before. Though I bet you will still have the best dress even with your little baby bump your highness"

Felina skated closer to Oassu before whispering "Nope the demons just didn't want other people getting their hands on it but pretty much every race has some hidden away somewhere behind closed doors that they managed to recover. But shhh not sure all that is supposed to be made public" she whispered twirling away grabbing hold of Cid's bubble to twirl him around with her "And besides why spoil the fun with the heavy political stuff" she added "would you care to dance with me?"
Alusaadi smiled giving her bump a small pat "Oh the baby is fine. There are people checking up on him at least once every 3 days so if there are any problems they would be spotted quite quickly. The only thing that can be problematic is the food cravings. Unfortunately for the palace that meant a lot of marshmallows and cheese to provide in the same dish. But Zadina, even the greatest of sages should strive to better themselves even with their abilities for if they did not then there would be little new spells to be created"
Satoshi scratched her head "Well I guess it would depend on how its being stored. the Sheath could be securely belted onto the person if they are smart anyway. Still gotta be careful I guess and maybe one day I'll get to find out some of those little secrets heh. Maybe even swap stories too" she suggested almost panting by the time she got up the stairs "Man what I could give for a cold drink right now. Carrying these clothes has been surprisingly hard work in this hear" she groaned.

Oassu chuckled "Alright, if you say so, hope I don't have to get used to political intrigue like that" he said skating alongside Felina "Though you've got high hopes for me if you think I can dance on ice, that's a whole other level of talents above Ice skating and I guarantee I haven't had any lessons" he said
Zadina nodded "I suppose you are right Auntie, though I think most of the useful spells have already been invented" he sighed bowing low "Still we shall take our leave of you if that's alright Auntie, I'm sure Amane and Miss Hebal want to prepare for the ball later on" he said
Gil shrugged "So why not cut the belt and take it as well if the prize is valuable enough, thieves don't carry those little knives around for nothing" he said as they reached the top of the stairs "You ok? Seem a little breathless but yeah these clothes have some metal in them probably why it seems so difficult" he explained.
Itaka groaned "Hardly fitting wrapping for us" he said moving over to sit on bed after grabbing the small pink present "Did your mum not give you any better advice on flying after seeing you throw yourself out of a tree oh so many times?" he said shaking the present gently.

Seph laughed shaking her head "Hell no her advice was if all else fails don't flail and spread your wings and then at least you might glide down and avoid a thud" she answered taking the present off Itaka and ripping off the packaging carefully. "Well there we go, two little gold chocobo statues which I am guessing is one for each of us heh. Bet you were expecting a big stash of emeralds. Must say I am a bit curious as to why I got this from Hebal though" she added revealing a breast plate she had just unwrapped.
Hebal nodded ruffling Amane's ears "Yep we should really prepare for we only took travel clothes with us to Yithra which just wouldn't do. But it was nice of you to take the time to see us and I'm glad your baby is doing ok so far"
Amane sighed picking up a rather reluctant Merric and placing him on her shoulder "Thank you for letting us see you your highness and I will make sure Zadina follows your advice" she smiled and the bowed.

Felina smiled taking hold of Oassu's hand "I am sure you could give it a try with a little help from me and skating dancing isn't the same as dancing dancing if you follow" she encouraged twirling under Oassu's arm once she raised it "well I could always ask dad not to mention anything to you abut politics if you like though I see no reason for him to get you involved in affairs"
Satoshi nodded "Phew yeah Im ok just the weight of your stuff taking its toll but we're home anyway. Would think anyone with half a brain though would notice the wright difference if a weapon was suddenly cut from your belt. Might make myself a smoothie when we get in and you are also welcome to have one" she offered allowing Enidu to enter before her.
Alusaadi stood up now Merric was no longer on her lap and gave the group a slow bow "Yes feel free to take leave and look around the city. I wouldn't want to keep you here all day. There are some very nice clothing stores in the palace district. It is an area I would recommend but be sure to have a warm jacket for it will only get colder by nightfall and only the inside of the palace will be heated"

Oassu nodded trying his best to stay on his feet "Yeah can't imagine him needing my help with anything, unless he wants us to become diplomats like your sister is right now" he said holding his arm up for Felina to twirl under "Perhaps some lessons are in order as I still have no idea what's going on here" he chuckled.
Gil nodded "Sure I would enjoy a nice drink like that now, but a thief could probably get away if fast enough I reckon" he said "I can't remember the last time I heard of a thief stealing something with weight when there wasn't a kerscuffle afterwards" he said scratching his chin before dumping some of his clothes on the couch.
Zadina giggled slightly as Merric kwehed affectionately at Alusaadi "I think he likes you Auntie, but lets be off I'll see about helping them around the city which should be fun and we'll get to see Cousin Felina later!" he said suddenly remembering "Oh is Corella here at all?" he asked happily.
Itaka shrugged "Perhaps she learned in a similar way and didn't know another safer way to teach" he chuckled taking one of the little gold chocobos "Well....that's quite nice I suppose" he said placing it down on the bedside table before snickering at Seph's present "Perhaps she's trying to advertise her armour to you, that or she wants you to cover up a bit more" he said devolving into full-on laughter.

Seph shrugged and with a small snicker slipped the armour on "Well it's pretty comfy and fits well though this is no time to try and test how strong it is. But I would think that she would be used to seeing me walking around in next to nothing so its probably just to advertise or she really wanted to make something to my shape. Seems a bit more time what she got you" she stated holding up a pair of boots tied together in ribbons. Go see whats in Zadina's present, he'll be well off too and its nearby you"
Amane nodded her head in agreement "You seem to be a natural with Merric your highness. Usually he will never sit still like that to be petted unless he knows you really well. But still I will see you later tonight at the party" she told her before following Hebal out the room who was already bouncing around outside with excitement"

Felina paused stopping what she was doing for fear she might suddenly knock Oassu over "Well what do you need to know about whats going on right now? I am just trying to have a nice date with my fiancé then take him to party with the family hehe. And no I don't think dad expects us to be diplomats. Elithana is just someone who is naturally good at stuff like that and has a way of not taking any funny business off people without making them too mad. I probably wouldn't have the confidence" she assumed him with a hug.
Alusaadi smiled giving the chocobo a wave "I am glad that he has taken to me for I do quite enjoy the company of animals. As for Corella, I believe she is currently preoccupied getting her dress for tonight so I wouldn't recommend seeing her before the party as she may not be in her most presentable form" she warned before getting up and giving Zadina another hug. "Now go get your shopping. The shops all close early on the day of the dragon festival"
Satoshi sighed more than happy to put the clothes down "Not even thieves can escape ninjas, especially when mastered the art of teleportation" she smiled wandering over to the kitchen. "Enough talk about thieving for now though, you will be glad to know that such petty crime is extremely low here because of how everyone knows everyone here. Wouldn't take long to be found out. Unfortunately it also means everyone seems to know everyone's business"

Oassu grinned "Sure that sounds quite nice but I don't know you can be confident and diplomatic I'm sure" he said returning the hug before releasing Felina to skate with a bit more speed "Though your sister certainly comes off as hard and unyielding, I'm not really sure those are always good traits for diplomacy, you'd think it requires a bit of give and take." he said completing one lap.
Zadina nodded returning the hug "Certainly Auntie I'm sure we'll be quick and get something nice, we won't be going far from the palace district, see you later!" he said before following Amane out of the room while Jeckhart meekly bowed and said "It was an honour to meet you your highness" before retreating backwards out of the room. Outside Zadina was bright and chirpy "Well what did you think of my Auntie, she's so dignified and nice, and she really liked you Merric" he said petting the Chocobo on her shoulder.
Gil chuckled "Well sure, I heard outside of the East here where Ninjas are trained from birth all other ninja's start their careers as thieves, much like Oassu did" he said crossing his arms "Though that brand of ninja is treated with more disdain than other because of their beginnings I suppose" he said
Itaka shrugged "Perhaps she's looking out for the kids so to speak, I mean I think Zadina's hitting that age when he's interested in girls and stuff, Alpha would know more about it the amount he gets on with him" he said picking up a small box and opening it to reveal a small hexagonal talisman with a flame charm on it "Hmm, not sure what this is, holding it makes me feel warm though" he said gently squeezing it in his hand.

Seph paused examining the item Itaka received "looks like some enchanted jewellery that will protect you from the cold or from ice spells if I remember correctly. Maybe its a hint for you to get a little bling on. But I don't think Zadina is interested in girls yet for I have had no awkward moments with him nor have any of the other ladies in our group" she concluded putting the bottle of wine Alpha had left them to one side.
Amane smiled "Merric was a good little chic so why wouldn't she like the little guy" she grinned rewarding him with a neck rub. "But sure the Queen seemed pretty nice and she's still really pretty for both her age and being pregnant. I bet you are her favourite nephew"
Hebal nodded "Yep she's definitely pretty and was nice to us but don't think we would necessarily get along with her without you there much. Don't think she really feels the vibes of my energetic self" Hebal answered with a small yawn. "Well shall we get that shopping done? And anyone know the fastest way outside?" she asked bouncing on the spot.

Felina nodded playfully rolling Cid's bubble towards Oassu for him to catch "Yeah that is true but Elithana just knows how to play hard to get. Also I would be worried half the time that perhaps I gave in a little too easily in a negotiation. Besides I wouldn't want all that pressure and I doubt you would too. I guess if I ever for some reason had to settle down and get a job to pay for a living I would probably have wanted to be a school teacher or something"
Satoshi snickered "Oh don't let anyone around here catch you calling them ninja. Those ones tend to focus more on stealing and stabbing you in the back than infiltration and combat with jutsu. Where as we sort of learn the opposite way. People also don't like independent ninjaing without belonging to a village" she explained.
"If you are departing now my Lord, may I recommend taking the smaller east side exit to go back into the city. Or I could just take you and that way you do not interrupt things for the King who will still be greeting the guests. There also should not be any crowds" Rutizo suggested once the bedroom door was completely shut.

Oassu gasped spiralling slightly but slowly to a halt as he caught the bubble "Phew careful there almost lost control but hey little guy" he said waving to Cid through the bubble before skating back to Felina "I wonder if they'd let a Princess teach in the schools, you could probably work in the white magic college I'm sure" he said passing the bubble back to Felina.
Gil grinned "I'm not sure, thieves have plenty of experience with infiltration I'm pretty sure, least in the more organised groups" he said sitting on the couch and petting Enkidu "Still lets not stay long, this couch is comfy and I'm like not to get up again if I stay here too long" he sighed. "Though what's the probably with independent ninja, surely every western ninja ends up like that since they are far from the influence of this country" he said.
Zadina nodded "That would be fine Rutizo, please lead the way" he said in agreement "Though yes you are right we should go see about getting you some lovely gowns for the ball tonight" he said mimicing Hebal's bouncing.
Jeckhart nodded "The certainly is welcoming, though she probably isn't used to someone with your energy Hebal which is a shame, I'm sure she would enjoy your company with a little more time" he said
Itaka nodded "I'll bet, he's still a nice kid, lets hope Alpha doesn't have too much of an effect on him eh?" he said putting the talisman on the table "Good little tool that for this weather, still what did he get you?" he asked pulling over a chunky-looking box "Heavy one this, from Hebal?" he said reading the little tag on it before opening it "Oh that's nice some armoured boots, I'll definitely get some use out of these." he said examining them.

Hebal cheered hopping along after their guard "Yay I can't wait to see Amane try on all those pretty clothes for later. It's not often we do girly things. Though she will probably never get used to being around someone as energetic as me. Royals don't tend to let their hair down much...no offence Zadina. Plus being pregnant she probably isn't very noble"
Amane grinned excitedly "You know mum, you should get one too if you can, I mean you work really hard and I know Satoshi made you a dress but I think for all your hard work you should really try and treat yourself to something special. Don't ya think guys" she asked the others hoping for support.
Seph paused holding up a thick leather bound text book "I think he is trying to hint that I need to be studying more in my free time heh. Still at least its not another statue since that seems to be my main present type this year unless Oassu and Felina are plotting something together" she smirked holding up Oassu's small statue of a succubus given as a gift.
