I'm not a flag expert c= And yes, I feel a little better now. Yes but have you ever had a saber hit you? Flags are nothing compared to getting nailed with one of those in the head/arm/foot/shoulder/wrist. poor lenali...at least you didn't get the xylophone dropped on your shoulder....bailey did and her shoulder was bruised for weeks. eek Eep yea I have enough bruises from color guard thank you very much. I think the pain meter when it comes to color guard stuff would be flag, rifle, saber. In order from less painful to most XD is it because you use flags more often and therefore get hit more often? oh, and well....I've never been hit by any percussion instruments..*relieved* Well no...the poles of the flags are hallow so they don't really hurt all that much, though if you get enough spins on them they can hurt but nothing knock out worthy. I mean I guess if you weren't expecting it then yea, but since your the one who threw the flag you generally know when your not going to be able to catch it so you step back. And the spacing is pretty good between the guard so we don't worry about hitting eachother but its understandable if we do. The only reason someone would get hit is because they got behind or ahead on their marching.

Marching hurts! Especially when you have to march backwards almost the entire show and have to go 8 giant steps in three counts!!! Aaag! *Dies*

Merriara LenaleeKicks Mooyashi Hi everyone! Bleh, I dislike Marching Band very much... The flag girl's flag came right down on my head and then everything was all blurry and I was stumbling around on the field like I was drunk xD But then I fell down and was dizzy. xD And my band coach was video taping it so I got to see it! It was kinda funny... but it hurt! D; XD I'm a flag girl ^_^ and it's color guard fool really? I'm in the pit though I play the oboe.....
Band! (I'm a drummer, though I don't play anything this year..my senior year crying )

Aaag! *Dies* XD I feel that but I love guard to much...band people shouldn't complain though. During band camp the band people get to go inside to air conditioning after marching for an hour. While the guard and drumline stay outside for an extra hour to practice. At least thats how it is in my band.
