Because one publishing company having a monopoly on all of the political publications during an election is the very definition of corruption?

That and they rammed me into a barrel full of honey and got me attacked by a bear.

Hartley Rathaway Because one publishing company having a monopoly on all of the political publications during an election is the very definition of corruption? Well Kapow does only have one publishing company unless I'm mistaken.

Then maybe it's time to start up another one, one that doesn't have an affiliation with one of the candidates.
You ARE married/engaged to the publisher, are you not?

Should I pull out my little recorder and replay the part in the bar two nights ago when he said words to the effect of "how could I NOT support you?"
It's a blatant conflict of interest. You're in a relationship with the only publisher in the guild. Please explain to me how that's NOT a conflict of interest. And don't use the words "just trust him." He's already let his lead writer publish an a**-kissing gladhandling article about a fascist.

No, not really. But if I don't speak up, who will? Everyone's so afraid of hurting each others feelings. Everyone wants to be a politician, but none of them have a strong stance on...well, anything. They're all just running because they thought it would be fun.
No one likes me anyways, so I'll say things plainly that need to be said. There are problems in this guild, there are problems with the people bidding to RUN the guild, if the media is too cowtowed to the other candidates to say it, then who's going to make sure that the opposing views are heard?
I would have been happy just running my Kapowians Against Corruption ads, but Ayers made a salient point to me. When the guild has been in trouble, they've turned to Wally West, they've turned to Jaeger Ayers. It doesn't NEED people like Tony Stark running around beating people up on the scantest of evidence that he won't share with anyone else.
It doesn't need all of this.

Mrs Jean Grey-Summers When he said that I thought he meant supporting me in what I chose to do. I never took it as political. He has already backed Stark and I am fine with that. So you're fine with your husband-to-be publicly using his press publication as a way to endorse a candidate whose philosophies are directly opposed to your own?

Hartley Rathaway I would have been happy just running my Kapowians Against Corruption ads, Don't get me started on those. You take out of context quotes slap them together to slander the candidate and call it good. We've heard about what you stand against. Why not tell us and the voters what you can actually do for Kapow.

Interesting that. Personally, I don't think any of this is needed. There's nothing wrong with this place that isn't wrong with anywhere else. Violence, 'death', drama. Whatever. It's everywhere. Funny thing, It works itself out better here then anywhere else.
What's even more interesting there is a bar of you and Ayers on the ballot.
Tony Stark seems to make everything more complicated then things need to be.

Has ANYONE actually done that? The closest I've heard is the Bismollian wanting to make it easier for people to SUE each other.
Fine. Ayers and I are running on a platform of equality. That means mutants, humans, kids, adults, villains, heroes, they're ALL equal. Just like they were before Wally West vanished. None of this "I'm staging a war between two factions to stave off a war only I see coming" crap. You come in the bar, you have a drink, you talk. You have a difference of opinions, you either scrap a little bit, or you hug it out.
THAT's our platform. A return to sanity.

Things weren't perfect when Wally was here either. This was before my time here, so correct me if I am wrong weren't there both a kiddnapping and a murder under Wally's watch? Things are the same now as it was then. Its time for a change.
