Carlos smirked, but was unable to hide a small tear rolling down his cheek.
"Don't blame yourself. I should have asked why you train alone rather than pushing you into it. Especially if it sends you into something you wouldn't want to be." He said quietly, ever staring at his plate as if it would run if he didn't.

Carlos paused a moment, thinking whilst wiping the tear away. He had never asked himself before. Why did he care so much for a vampire? The last people he cared for on such a level was his pack, and they...
Carlos let loose another tear, before tilting his head up to face Aurora.
"Yeah, it's alittle better, otherwise I would still be your Knight." He said, unfaltering. "But I don't think it'll ever fully heal. It'll scar, but I'll carry it with pride, for I know the person who gave it me."

"Well... I could TRY to be angry if you want, though I doubt I'll get far." Carlos replied, jokingly. He was still trying to figure himself why he didn't care about it, but he just knew instinctively he wasn't bothered on it. "I know you didn't want to hurt me. It was my fault I invoked whatever side of you that was, and that's why you shouldn't blame yourself."
Carlos turned back down to his food, beginning to eat it.

Carlos looked up in time to have it hit him in the forehead, but caught it before it landed in his food. He examined it with interest while he listened, and begun to put it on afterwards. Shortly after, he got up, moved over to Aurora and hugged her.
"Thank you." He whispered, ignoring the tears streaking down his face. "And I'm sorry for what I've caused, I really am."

Carlos backed away as the servant approached so that Aurora could accept the drink, and sat back down in his own seat. "No, I'm pretty self-efficient. I'll make it through, even if I'm burned to hell." He said, wiping the tears once again off of his face. "But I would offer the same to you, even in this condition."

"I've... done terrible things. In my past, and now to you. I can never forgive myself for them." He said, eating to divert his mind from the moment. "Very terrible things."

Carlos looked up, but wasn't able to smile. He couldn't even force himself to. 'If I explain, she might understand.' He thought to himself, tilting his head back down and swallowing.
"Years ago, it was a dark night. Someone told another pack we were trying to take their territory." Carlos begun, pausing to form the words. "The pack was a large one, and no sane thing would try. I'm not sure who or why they said we were, but they did. Our pack was attacked, in what I should have provided the safety of the house. It's the pack alpha's job to keep the pack safe. But they were slaughtered. And all I could to was run. I betrayed them."
Carlos finished, another tear dripping from his memories, as he forced himself to continue eating.

"I'm glad they helped you." He said quietly, trying not to be angry. "But the only help I got was having to run from the villagers before they shot me, and being hunted for years onwards. I don't know how long ago it was, but I only came here because I think they fianlly stopped hunting me down."
Carlos picked up his empty plate and moved over to the sink to clean it. He never would ask for servants to do anything for him. It was below him, and would show signs of weakness and lazyness. Trust a pack alpha to continue to show he is strong no matter how weak he is.
