Hartley Rathaway Most political blowhards will jump at the chance to preach their hypocrisy, so I'm not surprised. How many of them have told you that the 'represent the common man?' How many of them actually DO? That's the question.
*Starts playing 'Piggies' by the Beatles on the flute. A wave of frustration settles on the minds of everyone in the Bistro* Neither was I. No one has said common man here. Only Warren and personally. I don't think ANYONE is going to represent any man, besides themselves.
As of right now, All of this seems like an attempt to stroke one own's ego.
::Takes his tie off and Tosses his jacket back up on the coat Rack, feeling more irritated then normal::

Warren_Worthington III Professor Scott Summers Of course I do, I just wasn't expecting it. I mean we've usually been more about looking out for ourselves, right? Well I think it is time for a change. We can't stay cloistered off in our own little world. It is time for us to interact with the world. That is part of the reasons I started those charities, which were partial you idea. I'm not disagreeing, Warren. I'm just saying this is a big step for us, seeking leadership outside the community. Wow. Where did Jean go, was I too abrupt with her earlier?

Politicians with egos? Now however did such a notion come about? Just because one fascist has decided that he needs to be accredited to tell people what to do, and suddenly we have politicos coming out of the woodwork saying, 'no! me!' too? WherEVER would ego come into the equation?
*plays a little more forcefully, making the frustration grow*

I'm just working out my frustrations through song. It's bad enough any 'election' like this would exist in the first place.
Does no one around here remember that Wally West is the administrator of this place? Wally's been through a LOT taking care of the administrative crap that, now, apparently everyone wants to do.
Where the hell is he?

Can.. You stop? Or, is that too much?
I remember that, that's why this whole thing going to end up being a feeble battle of nothing. He's probably sick and tried of being around people.

*shrugs*
I guess that's not my concern. I suppose, then, that you could consider me and Jaeger running because SOMEone SANE has to take care of things until Wally gets back.
All the people voting have to ask is if they REALLY want these candidates in control of things. Up until Wally left, things were pretty damn harmless here, weren't they. How did he manage to do that? What did he know that the people who are left here don't?
*gathers up the rats and heads out*
Really, is anyone here smart enough to ask the REAL questions that need to be asked? Or is the popularity contest all people care about...
