Kaosu grunted, stabbing another through the face. But, this time, as one disappeared, two appeared. Kaosu growled, pushing forward as he bashed one in the face and slashed at the other. He finished off the second one and took another step forward. The best way to keep them away...would be to push them back.
Kaosu just kept cutting them down, one at a time, step by step. This had gone on for a few minutes when a hollow launched something at him. It sent him flying backwards; all the way to the other end of the hallway. The hollows began crawling forward so much faster than when he had pushed them back.
Kaosu roared, hopping off the ground, onto the wall, and then up in the air. He slashed down, killing the first two effortlessly. The others just kept pushing now, in a successful attempt to overwhelm him. But, as they were pushing, he just kept slashing. Another slash, another down. Another tried hitting him, another lost limb and then a broken mask.

Shunketsu stood up and walked over to his two half-sais, still sticking out of the ground. He bent over to pick them up, but as soon as he touched them, a loud laughter was all he could hear in his head... " HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...Did you SEE yourself?? You were sent flying. It was like BOOM! and you just flew upwards...it was like a cartoon man, funny stuff..." "*sarcastically*I'm so glad I was able to entertain you..."" HAHAHAHAhahahahahehehehehe...priceless...yaknow, if you fail as a shinigami, you'd make a great clown..." Shunketsu began to ignore him for the moment. He looked around for a boulder of some sorts and found one...He wasn't sure how tough the rock was though. "hmm...I guess there's only one way to find out" Shunketsu took out his two half-sais and readied himself. " w...w...wait! what the hell do you think you're doing?!?" "Testing how hard the rock is..." Shunketsu rushed at the rock, jumped up, and swung his right-handed half-sai down with all his might at the rock... " WAIT! WAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!!" [63]

After scraping a few of the hideous entities off the walls, it appeared that they were over. Kaosu sighed, leaning against the wall. His arms were strained, tired. His breathing was heavy and ragged, his legs like lead.
He smiled, figuring that it was over. That's when he heard screeching. He looked, and more were appearing. Kaosu roared in annoyance. How much more can I take?!
That's when he noticed that there were more, and they weren't even done coming yet. He stood, wielding his zanpakutou with an extremely firm grip.
Bring it on, you scraggily lot of white-faces freaks!

Kaosu grinned, slicing his scimitar straight through the hollow's face, facing his shoulder to the oncoming horde. Then, after the first one was finished, it was Kaosu this time who didn't hesitate to strike, pushing through the disintigrating material, ripping skywards into the next one.
Kaosu kept the attacking motion going, this time striking downwards into the next one; it looked like some skeletal caterpillar. Disappearing, Kaosu charged through...to face the biggest hollow he'd ever seen. It wasn't a Grande, but it was about a good 9 feet tall. Kaosu jumped upwards, and slashed at it. Luckily for Kaosu, that was all it took to bring it down. He managed to fit the element of surprise onto his attack.
However, the hollows on the ground took this opening and began running for the door he was guarding. Kaosu sighed, using the hollow's dead and disintigrating body to get to the wall, and then ran straight downwards, ending right in front of the mass of white masks. He killed the one in the lead, and then stopped.
His body was starting to slow, and he was sure the hollows noticed it as well, seeing as how they increased their attempts to run forward.
This is so not my day.

Kaosu stabbed the next one in the face, and kicked it's body back into the horde. He knocked a few of them down, halting their forward motion. Kaosu took the oppertunity to rest, breathing deeply and leaning against the wall.
It was probably the most intense, consecutive way he'd ever used his muscles. But, they were quick on their feet, and Kaosu merely waited for them. He sliced, lopping two hollow's heads off, and then pushed forward once more, meeting a bat-like creature who kept flapping his wings into Kaosu's face. Swinging straight down, Kaosu managed to take it out.
He shook his head, and went on to the next few. He stabbed his zanpakutou into the one on the left, and sliced it to the right, killing the other one. Kaosu grunted, taking another step forward. Keep going forward.

*CLANG* It was cartoonish really. Shunketsu kind of stayed suspended in midair. Then a vibration started in his zanpakutou, traveled up Shunketsu's arm, through his body, and ended a the tip of his feet. Shunketsu then just kinda fell backwards and landed on the ground with a thud. " WHAT THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT FOR? IF YOU WANTED TO SEE HOW HARD THE ROCK WAS, KNOCK ON IT! DON'T GO BASHING ME AGAINST IT! WHAT ARE YOU, HIGH?!?!?!??!?!?!" "No, actually, I'm pretty low right now...but wow...that rock is hard..."" Hello?!?!? It's a smeggin' ROCK! What did you expect for it to feel like? A pillow?!?!?!??!" "Yea yea...I'll take that into consideration next time...now...how can I bust this rock up?"Shunketsu sat up, crossed his arms, and pondered. He seemed to be doing a lot of that lately. "Hmm...what was it that Hikari was doing when she busted up that rock??"[64]

How many are there?! Kaosu thought, sending another hollow...somewhere. But, this didn't matter. Every time he faltered, the screams of the women and children got louder, which fueled him on every single time. He cleaved another hollow in half, wondering why they were just rushing forward, not attacking.
It seemed like they were pushing, and that was all. Makes my job easier. He thought, grabbing ahold of one's mask, cutting another, and then stabbing the one he had ahold of through the head. At least they aren't aggressive. Or spiny. Thank you, high heavens, that they are not spiny.
Kaosu roared, stabbing one through the head. Sure, it wasn't exactly imaginative, but it worked. It was like crowd control. There aren't too many methods, but each one is effective.

Kaosu stopped, the burning in his arms was becoming a little unbearable. He set his zanpakutou down and shook his hands out. "Let's do this the hard way." Kaosu muttered, waiting for the hollows to come again.
When the first came, Kaosu kicked it hard in it's stomach, grabbed ahold of the ivory mask, and brought his knee up to smash it. It broke effectively, and the monster screamed before it disappeared. Kaosu smiled. Hey...Hakuda is good for something!
He formed his familiar Bear stance; wide-legged, right forearm on his waist and left hand outwards. The next one came, and he gave it a heavy smash with his right fist as it sprung from it's position. Why I'm doing this over my zanpakutou? I'll never know.

The next one crawled low on the ground, way out of a fists' range. Kaosu smiled, bringing his legs close to each other. Then, he sent his right foot flying, and it connected with the hollow.
Nothing happened though, except that it flung backwards a few feet, colliding with other hollows. Screw that. Kaosu thought, dropping the stance. That's when he noticed the first real offensive brought against him. He looked up to see the same hollow he kicked coming down at him with it's mouth open. Look and see who got angry! Kaosu thought, smiling. But I'm not that unarmed. Kaosu thought of going for his zanpakutou for a second, but got a better idea. He manhandled a medium-sized hollow, about the size of Nagi or Hikari, and put it in his way.
The hollow bit into the other hollow, and Kaosu stepped back. He laughed as they began fighting, ripping each other apart until one disappeared. The one he manhandled won, and his prize was Kaosu ramming his fist through his mask, breaking it. Kaosu shook out his hand, picking a piece of the mask from his fist.

Kaosu sighed, licking the blood from his wound as the hollows kept coming. Finally their eyes held a quality of bloodlust; a trait of hollows, not just that stupid glazed look they were wearing beforehand.
Kaosu grinned now, unsheathing his zanpakutou again. "Oops." He said, cleaving through the nearest one. "Look what came back." With multiple, rabid-esque strikes he began walking forward. It didn't matter if his blade hit anything, just that he was swinging it.
It repelled them for a moment. That's all that Kaosu wanted. He hopped up and slashed hard, cutting into about another two of them. He laughed, kicking another one. "Man you guys rock!" He cut that one down as it cowered in pain, slicing at another one.
He didn't know where this energy came from, but he didn't care. It just helped that he had it, and he was going to use it.

Ironically, Hikari sneezes and doesn't associate it with somebody talking about her. She rubs her nose and takes a deep breath, still awaiting Nagi's answer.

((hehe...sneezes...)) "Hmm...I wish I was paying more attention, but it seemed to me that she was meditating on something before she started rock-splitting...I got it! She must've used reiatsu behind her attack! But...how am I supposed to do something like that?"Shunketsu really pondered about it, but eventually decided that sitting around and pondering how something'll work out will never actually lead to anything working out at all... "Here goes nothing..."Shunketsu took out one half-sai and held it in front of him in his right hand. Placing his left hand on his right forearm, Shunketsu began releasing reiatsu. Shunketsu tried to concentrate the reiatsu onto his half-sai, but it took a very odd shape. Shunketsu had not discovered his reiatsu pulse pattern like Hikari did and he was just forcing the reiatsu onto the zanpakutou instead of utilizing it to its full potential... "It's hard...it's extremely erratic"[65]

Feeling that he had charged enough into his Zanpakutou, Shunketsu rushed at the rock once again. " aww crap! NOT THIS s**t AGAIN!!!!!" Shunketsu slashed downward diagonally at the rock but it didn't even leave a scratch on it, not one scratch at all... "I don't get it...how did she do it?"" FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, get some more reiatsu in that attack! At the rate you're going, you're gonna cause me to become dull and that rock will still look brand spanking new!!!!!!!" "That's the first direct advice you've given me..."" That's because I still wanna be considered a weapon and not a pair of chopsticks after this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "You say more reiatsu, but it's really hard to control it after a while...I already tried my best"" Ever consider the thought that maybe your reiatsu control and knowledge is still incomplete?!?!" Shunketsu readied himself again, and this time poured forth as much reiatsu as he could muster into his zanpakutou. He didn't know where all his reiatsu came from, but he was gonna use it if it was there...The reiatsu build-up's current level was only slightly higher than his previous attempt. "more...more...more..."Shunketsu pushed forth as much reiatsu as he could, and it showed around his zanpakutou, but it was very unstable, and leaked at various points... " you missed a spot..." "It'd help if you taught me how to do this..."Shunketsu was almost at his limit, he could only hold the reiatsu for a few more seconds... "Not good, I can't build it up any more than I have. If I'm going to use it, it's going to have to be...Now!"Shunketsu rushed at the rock and slashed upward diagonally(8-2). [67]

Shunketsu was facing the ground upon the completion of his slash. He then looked up at the rock to see if his effort had paid off... " Congratulations, you've managed to just barely scratch a rock...whoop dee doo..." stare "You know, I find your sarcasm very hurtful..."" really? good." "At least I scratched it. It means I'm making progress..."" At the rate you're progressing, you'll look like Yamamoto before you get through half this rock..." "aw be quiet..."Shunketsu sat down and rested for a few minutes and then got back up and readied himself. "Let's see...I think my problem is that the reiatsu is unstable. Hmm...when was my reiatsu the easiest to control?"Shunketsu thought hard for a bit...and then realized he had it easiest when the reiatsu was flowing in rings... "I may as well give it a try..."Shunketsu built up reiatsu again on his zanpakutou, but this time he had his eyes closed. In his mind, he was imagining his reiatsu in a swirling motion around the zanpakutou. Outside his imagination however, he got it pretty close. The reiatsu concentrated into three rings circling around different parts of the half-sai. One spun around the hilt, one spun around the middle of the blade, and the last spun around the very tip of the half-sai. When Shunketsu opened his eyes, he was surprised to see the three ring formation, but went with it. "Let's try this again...HYAAAH!"Shunketsu rushed once again for the rock and slashed vertically downward. come on...come on..[68]
