Unfortunately, as he entered the inner sanctum, he was stopped cold by a noise from the underground channels... And if he looked up at the moment, he would see a pair of Leviathans arcing over his head. Time seemed to slow as their multihued eyes- locked with his.
An intruder in their territory! And he was trying to reach the sanctuary!
Now, Leviathans were smarter than most dragons, being water creatures. And though it was stated before that they were completely harmless, that's only when they were unprovoked. Leviathans are territorrial creatures, and they did not take it well when an intruder stepped in. They communicated to each other via sound waves, making most mistake them for whales, and were thus able to make tactical manuvers in the water that most creatures were not-even the dolphins in the deep sea. Thus, after a few moments of silence, one of the two guardians of the chamber came forth and knocked Ruuvan into the water.

Hmm... no other enemies about ye-- what the hell!? It was a single thought that crossed his mind as the Leviathans crossed over hsi head and bat him into the water. It was a simple choice of coming out and killing an endangered species of turning undead and swimming like a wild man - he chose the latter.
Snatching off his necklace and securing it to one of his weapons, Ruuvan proceeded to swim like an olympic champion on steroids away from the endangered species and hoepfully emerge at the other end where his prize would be. No matter how brutally the creatures attacked him, he would only punch them in the heads if they cam close enough to fend thema way, but he would not kill the beasts.

Unfortunately for him, he was in the water with some of the fastest swimmers in Gaia. They kept up wtih him effortlessly, barely having to move their powerful legs and short, yet suitable wings that acted as stabilizers in the channel. The one on the left attempted to ram into Ruuvan with his head, while the other quickly shifted upwards in order to reveal the wall next to him. Swimming next to him was meant to obscure his vision on either side so that he wouldn't see what was coming until it was a bit too late.
A simple move, but it had been effective for the other fools who had trespassed.

Unlike the other fools before him, Ruuvan had the added light of the NightVisor as well as the elven reflexes that now ran through his body. As the first leviathan tried to ram into him, Ruu threw out his hand and clenched it into a firs, smacking the beat on the side of the head to stop it from ramming him. However, as the other beast pulled up to reveal the wall, Ruuvan had to act even quicker. Once he had hit the first creature away, he waved forward with boths arms until he slowed and tapped against the wall, he then used his new backwards momentum and pushed off the wall at an angle to create a kind of 'handbrake turn' move underwater. This would succesfully stop the ram and allow him to turn the corner with little effort, thus letting him shoot forward and hpefully get to the end of this shaft before the leviathans could hit him again.

THWACK
The sound of his fist impacting against the oncoming Leviathan's head sounded off as the ramming move was slowed substantially. The strength of an undead warrior came in handy down here... but it was undaunted as it pushed against his fist, still moving with massive force.
And then, the water dragon hit the wall.
Ruuvan had darted out of the space in which the leviathan had almost trapped him in, thus getting him cleared. Almost. Apparently, he had forgotten that there were two of them. The one that had risen up in order to clear some space was now bearing down on Ruuvan from above. The other dragon quickly righted itself, pushing off of the wall with its legs and proceeding to chase down the indruder from behind.

Having cleared the turn and now heading towards what he assumed was the end, Ruuvan onlt had to wrroy about the leviathan above him and the one behind him. As the tunnel was confined and the top one was within reach, Ruuvan spun himself in the water so he was facing up and quickly granned the creature's body with both hands. Noticing the other one rushing up on his location, he kicked his legs in order to spin around using the leviathan as a kind of underwater pole, thus swtching the two's position. He would not be on top of the beast and quickly swimming away whilst the other came, hopefully, crashing into the rear of his friend. Undead strength and Elven speed both played a part in this move and it would surely pay off.

Well that was interesting.
The leviathan from behind was not entirely a fool however, as it veered to the right, missing his compatriot by no more than two inches, quickly whipping itself upwards and backwards in a sort of vertical u-turn before it hit the wall. The other levi was definitely not in the mood to be lugged around, so it went into a tight spiral, quickly arching downwards before doing so. The move, if Ruu was still hanging on for dear life, would send the both of them deeper into the channel, thus hindering his efforts. Sure, he had the strength and speed... but even the undead still had brains. And as coherent as Ruuvan was, he would get quite dizzy quite fast.
Not to mention the pressure would increase as they went further down, and while the water dragons could withstand such things, there was no guarantee that Ruu would as well... even as an undead. If there was a time to get the hell out of dodge, it would be now!

The thing about Ruuvan's move under the water was that it was a kind of throw instead of using the leviathan as a support. It was true he used it as a sort of pole to spin him around, but he then let go with a slight push in the other direction, or what one could call a push under the water, so he was no longer holding onto the creature. He also couldn't see the one behind him and knew nothing if it was to attack him, but as the other leviathan pulled down and he was left alone, Ruu assumed it had turned around or something. Now, with both creatures away from him, Ruuvan put all his effort into swimming even faster and getting out of this water before they could do anything else to him. If he didn't make it before they started again, Ruu was ready for any attacks they could throw; mainly the one that ducked down - it could come back up and try to stab him from below, so he could always lower his legs and kick the creature in the head if it tried.

The two of them took a moment to look at Ruuvan as he escaped, their eyes narrowing dangerously. Then, they heard another voice... and calmed substantially. The malevolence from their eyes cleared, and they swam in another direction as if nothing were wrong. They would have to let this one get away- he had passed the trial.
Success!
But it's not over yet... keep your guard up!

The ground started to rise up from under him as he continued forward, obviously avoiding the leviathans as they hadn't attacked him again, so he was safe for the time being. Ruuvan was able to stand after swimming a while longer, a slight ramp leading into and out of the water know appearing in front of him, and he stepped out into a similar shaft like before.
Now drenched in water and having the added weight of wet clothes, Ruuvan had to stay in his undead form to stop this from effecting his movement and fighting ability. Taking a few moments to compose himself, and allow the NightVisor to adjust to being out of the water, Ruuvan drew both his swords again and continued further down the shaft - surely he was near the centre now.

Besides for the sound of running water echoing off of the walls and the sound of Ruuvan's footsteps, it was quiet. Eerily so, as if one had walked onto some forbidden ground where no life had ever tread. Mainly because no one had ever made it this far in... no one, save for him.
Indeed, he was the first one within this chamber since the legend started... literally the first. Many came and never went back, mostly because of the monsters that had popped up in the area recently. Others had gone so far as the leviathans, after surviving the attacks from the crabs, as well as other vile creatures.
The legendary water dragons had stopped them cold every time.
Now, even he had passed them.
What could be worse than that?
In any event, he entered the inner sanctum, where a rounded grave marker covered with Norse runes stood upright. The chamber was enclosed- a cave within a cave. There was a platform in the center that extended for a fourty foot radius, and that was surrounded by water. Just plain water... it were as if this place were a resivoir of sorts. Something that nature did not create, nor man.
The disturbing part, or what should have been, was that it was empty.

Ruuvan started to think back to other caves he had been in, trying to match up the sounds and feelings he had heard and felt whilst in them, but only two were matching so far; the sound of running water and his footsteps, but no wind or audible echo - this was definitely hallowed ground. He was overcome with a feeling he had only felt in churches, that and the time Michael gave him the necklace, but that was all in the past during his time of realisation with Maximos.
He started to take mental notes of the surrounding area and of the semi-obvious fighting platform; a forty foot diameter circle on the middle of water, only a single bridge connecting the shaft to the platform. With no other way to go, Ruuvan stepped slowly onto the bridge to make sure it was safe and continued on towards the platform once satisfied. He held both his swords in his hands, slightly crouched in case this Warrior or Guardian attacked immediately; he was ready for either occurrence. So there he was, in the centre of the cave network and of this chamber, standing over the grave marker he had heard so much about, but he couldn't see the gemstone. He was more ready now; ready for the guardian to show themselves and commence his final trial.

"Excellent!"
Laughter was everywhere. Pleased laughter. Someone was here! He hadn't heard anything or anyone else when he walked in... so where was this other person? It sounded like a woman, too...
"No one's ever made it this far. I bet I can guess what you're here for."
Nothing yet... but he would have to be at the ready, just in case. The voice came from everywhere, and nowhere at the same time, as if this entire cave were one entity. But if he looked closely, he'd know exactly where it came from...
The water was shimmering and glowing faintly, as if some light were hitting it from somewhere. But there wasn't much light in the cave, save for a few torches that were high up on the domed interior, and another set further down. Of course, if that light wasn't the reason...

Ruuvan stayed his ground as the laughter erupted from the area around him, but he was unable to pinpoint the specific location. He had used a similar trick, as that is all it was, to confused his opponents in battle before striking from the shadows, normally catching them in their hurried and confused movements, so he knew better than to look around for the voice. The only movement he made was to turn his head slowly, keeping en eye out and an ear open in case he heard more than just a woman's voice. "If you can guess then I don't need to ask for it, do I?" Ruuvan raised his voice back into the darkness, she would be able to hear him.

"...No, but it would have been polite to ask anyway. So then... about those leviathans. Aren't you the least bit curious why they attacked at all? I mean usually, they wouldn't harm you unless you were a direct threat to their environment. In fact, they'd hide from you instead of trying to fight you."
Whoever this was was not too concerned about how polite the man was. In fact, this woman sounded like she was in a playful mood. Still, one could never be too careful. Just because she wanted to play... didn't mean that she was not dangerous.
