Elisabeth frowned in thought, considering the question carefully. "It's hard to say from one moment to the next..." Tilting her head to the side in a shrug, a ringlet fell across her face. "Mostly, I think I live in the world of the dead and can only interact in this world." Brushing the curl out of her face, she smiled brightly, "But then again, I am interacting with the living world a lot. If that's the case."

It's good to keep interaction up within the world of the living, us living can learn a lot from the dead, Miyoko said. Though, I'm not sure I would be called living, either... she said, her voice trailing off as she thought about it. Technically, both of my parents are deceased. But since I was born, I have not died. But does being birthed from two people who are not living even technically make me alive? she questioned.

"I think you're living," Elisabeth said softly, reaching out towards Miyoko with a slender hand. "I think anyone that can fully take part in and appreciate the things around them are living..." Smiling, she patted her new friend's hand. "Which I guess makes me still living, in a way."
Watching the wind in the trees for a little while, the ghost girl twirled a piece of curled hair around her finger in habit. "You're parents were dead and still gave you life?"

Miyoko nodded happily, putting her other hand over the one Elisabeth had on hers. She looked to the woman and smiled softly. Yes, my mother is an angel, and my father is a demon, she commented lowly as she thought about what that would make her. Her black feathered wings fluttered behind her as she wondered about it.

"Oh!" Squeezing her faint hand lightly to show understanding, Elisabeth giggled. "What an odd and exciting combination," she said in answer to Miyoko's parentage. "I'd love to start having children again, or at least find those that are from my only child." Her smile fading, she brushed her free hand against her stomach nostalgically. "Did your parents stay together long?"

Miyoko giggled softly, nodding. It was odd, especially because of the whole angelic demonic thing being such a taboo, I am a product of forbidden love! Yes, my parents are still together, they are so in love... they have many, many children together. I've got seven full siblings! she chimed happily before looking to Elisabeth's stomach. You had a child? How long ago did you pass, might I ask?

Laughing happily with Miyoko, the ghost calmed as she looked down at the hand on her stomach. "It's been hundreds of years, I lost track at some point." Nodding her head slowly, she looked back up into the other girl's pretty eyes and could feel her own eyes glinting softly. "I did have a child, yes. I don't know what became of her, or if she died with me."

Miyoko's indigo eyes faded to a lighter shade of purple as she leaned forward to wrap her arms loosely around the ghost woman. That's so sad, she whispered. I wish I could help you find out, I do, I would love to so much... but I don't know how I could do that.

Elisabeth's eyes softened with the embrace and returned it gently. "Thank you so much," she whispered. "It really means a lot to me that you'd even want to help." Shaking any feeling of sadness away, she grinned and laughed softly, "I'm not sure there is any way of finding out, anyhow, so on to better topics."

Yes, better topics, Miyoko said, feeling rather silly that she got so emotional. Ummm... not sure what to talk about, she admitted with a small laugh, looking to her lap, where she rested her hands.

Laughing, Elisabeth nodded in agreement. "Tell me about your siblings! Do you get along with them?" Watching the ribbon still fluttering in the water, she smiled. This was nice, having someone to talk to.

Anou... hai, demo... Sometimes, it's not so easy, Miyoko laughed softly. I get along best with my older brother Tatsumi, he takes care of me so good, though I wish he would take better care of himself. After that, I get along with Hirohito, he's very nice to me, too. Ryuji is very mean, though, and so is Nozomi. I don't talk to Misaki very often, so I am not sure how she is as a sister, she said. I have one more sibling... anou, he is not around, we don't know what happened to him, and okasan is very reluctant to talk about him, and then I have one more sister, demo, she is not around either, she said with a nod.

Eyes widening as she listened, Elisabeth laughed once Miyoko was finished. "It must be hard having that many siblings and not really knowing all of them." Thinking about all her friend had said, she looked down at her lap. "I can't imagine how anyone could be mean to you."

It is really strange. I know four out of seven of them. I'd rather not know Nozomi, she's the kind who pulls mean pranks and pulls my hair and stuff... Miyoko said, looking down as her eyes glossed over. But then oniisan holds me and makes me feel so much better...

Reaching out and giving Miyoko another soft hug, Elisabeth couldn't help but feel the need to make the other girl feel better. "That's good, though, that someone makes sure you feel better."
