GOOD man! *high fives* and for the record, the temptest launcher may look really pretty but that missile launcher is a beautiful thing, especially with fast shot! My Exarch became infamous amongst my gaming group as the tank hunter of my army. Where every one else would fail, he'd annihilate! *wipes away a tear* So very proud of him...

Its time once more
Nekage's Eldar Campaign report:
Week 2:
This week, I was up against someone like myself, a player who'd been out for a few years, but came back last year.
Seems that the Eldar were continuing their scouting missions from last week. Our farseer had forseen a change in the fates, and in order for us to alter it so that the Green ones didnt come closer, we would have to anger a group of Tau exploring our planet we were on.
My team I fielded was as follows: (Due to last week, I won 4 C points, so I got +100 to my squad for this week)
HQ: Farseer (1): 55 Abilities: Fortune (+30) Total: 85
Troops: Dire Avengers (9): 108pts. Exarch (1): 44 Equipment: 2 Shurikans (+5) Abilities: Bladestorm (+15) Total: 152
Rangers (5): 95pts.
Elites: Striking Scorpions (5): 80
Fire Dragons (5): 80
Vehicles: Wave Serpent: (90) Shuriken Cannon: (+10) Total: 100
TOTAL: 592pts.
BEFORE BEGINNING: There was a rule made where we BOTH had HQs with 3 wounds. For EACH wound scored on them, we got +1 Campaign point.
OBJECT: Secure the center point.
So the game started off, I had first deployment and first turn. I hid my SS off to one side aslong side my Wave Serpent (With my Fire Dragon squad in waiting) while to the right of the board I had my squad of Dire Avengers and HQ with them, and my Snipers in a tower right next to them.
After deployment, I began to move my dires to the point, my wave serpent and SSs moved around the left flank. My Wave Serpent saw 2 of his Crisis suits, and tried to open fire with the Twin Cannons. He saved them all. So it wasnt looking too good ATM, I had exposed all my troops, and nothing had landed. His turn, things looked bad as his HQ Crisis leapt out and fired on my troops, luckily, his plasma couldnt hit, and only his regular weapons could reach. Struck, missed my saves, but THANKS TO FORTUNE, I saved EVERYTHING. His Kruts got to the point FAST, and fired on my troops, but saves were my friends tonight with fortune. Crisis shot out to the left, and fired on my SS's, but again, all saves. This was a saver, even though his suits could hide later, it was good to expose him and his troops out at the point. Turn 2: My snipers tried to hit his transport but no go. It was a sad waste of ammo, and I could see it would not help here. On the other side though, my SS's turned an headed for the Krute and trooped my Fire Dragon out of my Wave serpent to begin to FIRE down on the Kruts holding Objective. TOTAL DEVASTATION. After all that, my wave serpent, FDs, SSs, and troops moves to fire on him, only 1 Krut stood at the point. IN return fire, his HQ leapt out, shot on my troops and took down 1 of them. His pistol was NOT with him tonight. At this point I realized "...WAIT! MY SNIPERS CAN SEE HIS GENERAL THROUGH HIS RUIN WINDOWS!" *Cocks gun and repositions target*
This was what won it for me. My 5 snipers fired on his HQ, and on his 3+ saves, missed 2 of the 4 shots that hit, thus winning me 2 CPs, and only one wound left on his HQ Crisis. From there, he rolled to get his reserves in, but they failed. And THAT was what was needed to win. Troops ran in, assaulted his Kruts with witchblades and Exarch power and captured the point, SSs moved into the crisis suits on the right and took them down, Fire Dragons lept into the Wave serpent, SHOT behind his tank, and drooped right on his side to begin firing on his tank which he STILL did not deploy his units from. I guess he planned to drop the Kruts near the objective and have them run in to assault, but he didnt make it on time before my Meltas just DESTROYED his tank and killed all inside.
By the time he got his Kruts in to kill my sniper squad, I was able to move my fire dragons, wave serpent and fire from the point with my dires with a BLADESTORM unto them to kill EVERYTHING.
So in the end, I lost my 5 snipers and 2 soldiers I killed his ENTIRE army.
Since I showed up tonight, 1 CP, I WON, another CP, Capturing Objective +2 CPs, and for killing his HQ and all 3 his wounds, +3 CPs.
VICTORY FOR THE ELDAR, and I come out with +7 CPs! Holy crap! So now, next week, I've gone from a 600pts army, to a 775 point army! OH THE OPTIONS!!!!
ANY SUGGESTIONS!?! : D Again, keep in mind I have to BUILD off the team I already have, but ALL upgrades can be refunded, just NOT the units. So Exarches can become regular units again, but I CANNOT take a HQ out for another. I got a Wraithlord, A squad of Banshees, A squad of Dark Reapers, a Fire Prism, 5 Warlocks, and a squad of 10 Guardians! Wow, these 175 points are going to be amazing! However...I have a feeling NEXT week is gonna be the week the Eldar come against a enemy that even twisting FATE cannot defeat...

mmm they got low points to spend at most a 500pts eldar army is cheap ennough to get 2x fusion guns and a wave serpent but in a space marines army if they got heavy they go small. at most the last 500pts marine i i faced had 1x multi melta , 1x heavey bolter, and a usless chaplin that never assulted due to a waveserpent and a bladestorm on turn 2 he missed wave serpent used then dandy star engines boom 20+incs cover away smile
got to say my local games club is a marine fest:p
id throw in a wraith lord with cheese cannons(aka star cannons do some muching with troops and wack them with the hand up close Meat/bullet magnet rofl )

Nekage Twin link that s**t, or ya think one is enough? razz Cause its 60pts for 2 star cannons. Singled, and twin it if you have spare points at the end. Right now, my suggestion would be to add another troop. That, in your case, means Guardians. Give them either a Shuriken Cannon or a Scatter Laser. Lotsa shots with high strength will make your day.

I just might take you on that. I DO need more numbers. And then taking a squad of them with my HQ/Farseer should do those weaker units some good in the end. Course, this means doing Doom AND guide, so already, its gonna cost some points. HOWEVER, I can then use the extra points to field my banshees I think. MAYBE even enough points for those 5 extra Dires I have! I actually REALLY like this idea here.

Banshees are the best of the new stuff you've got. I'd stills wap Rangers out for something else. Fire Dragons are great character killers, using them on the Kroot might have been slight overkill. whee Think about getting some Warwalkers.

Lol, MAYBE over kill, but we Eldar do what we gotta do to win : P But yeah, I DO wanna get like 2 more warwalkers, but the thing is is that I feel like paying $30 for a freakn model like THAT isnt worth it >< Now, if I could get them for like $20, then that would be a LITTLE different : P Also, here's my list for next week ATM: Eldar of Fallen Alatioc

Well I'm glad you've gotten the Dire Avengers in the killy-ranged set up. Not many troops can stand up to that much fire, and with Bs 5 from the exach, nasty. What does Shadow Strike do by the way? Is it Infiltrate?

Yeah, "Shadow Strike" is the SS's Infiltrate ability.
I MIGHT be able to get my hands on 5 more Dire Evengers before the weekend. HOWEVER, I wonder if its worth putting in ANOTHER squad of 10 Dires instead of Guardians, or is the guardians with their support weapon just worth it MUCH more?.....Hmmm...

Am I wrong in this assumption?
I have my Farseer, he has duel witchblades.
HE has 2 atks from them, so I roll to hit, then since they are witchblades, they wound on a 2+ regardless of toughness. Since hes a psycker, he's able to try and use a psychic power/take a test to activate psycher weapons if i haven't this round so far. If I pass my test, its an instant kill.
Is this correct?

I don't believe that you're able to take two witchblades.
