Best excuse for when you didn't memorize your show tunes on time:
ITS MY REED I SWEAR! and "My neckstrap is screwing up my posture"
Also, this year during marching season, whenever everyone else was at attention, you would find the sax section rolling on the asphalt laughing at some kind of dirty joke, usually said by me. Our sax section is probably the weirdest section.
Anyway, I play the tenor, and after my first year of marching, i realized never to march with your own horn, as it gets scratched up ( my brand new yamaha YTS-82Z!!!!!!!!!!!!! crying crying It isn't beat up or anything, it just has scratches. I realized I'd rather endure a crappy sound from a school horn then to witness my baby get scratched.
Also freshmen year, I made the mistake of hitting on the senior drum major. xp But man was she hot......

I used to play Alto but i like the low parts in Tenor but i also like going high on the tenor allmost matching an alto. I played bari a few times after i got used to it it was fun. I tried playing Soprano twice didn't come out that well sweatdrop

I've been playing alto for 2 years, it was kind of a fluke when I learned how to play last year, there was one in the concert band and they needed one of the 11 clarinets to switch over, and I happened to be the only one who owend an alto. A peice pf crap horn t is too, a vintage King Cleaveland 613. Hell the low keys are on the left side of the horn not the right and it's a pain to march with. The right side is where we are in travel so I had a permanent bruise on my hip all through the season.

Woot I've been playing my alto for the past six years and I've played the tenor and bari each for two. It's kind of hard to get used to the bari mouthpiece.. But out of all of them, my favorite was the tenor. But I couldn't imagine living without my baby a YAS-475.
