Traveling further into the cave, he had overcome the disturbing feeling from before, and was focused back on their mission. As he traveled, another thought went though his head, the return trip. Maybe there'd be an item like an escape rope he could use, but how far would it take him back. He only had basic knowledge, but no physical experience. Also, many of the pokemon here posed a problem for his current team. Still, there was no use pondering another route. Not everything would be easy, and this would aid him in becoming a tactician.

As they continued to delve deeper, the heat grew gradually stronger. Raiden panted a bit to vent some heat back out. "Alright, I'll give you a rest." At this point he nodded, and Alex withdrew him back into his pokeball.
Tao watched as the Fletchling passed by. He lost himself in his thoughts as he watched it pass by. He kept his hands in his pockets as he walked up the mountain slopes, his breath was beginning to get ragged already but he kept going anyway. He was determined to get further than he did last time.

As Tao neared the top, he remembered what happened last time he passed through this area just ahead. It was indeed the place where his mudkip died. His eyes saddened somewhat at the thought and he continued onward to that same very place.

Alexander blinked twice at the sight of what appeared to be a large, reddish-brown egg sitting on a rock. For a moment he had thought he might have lucked out, but when the "egg" started moving and shifting, the boy soon saw that it wasn't an egg at all but a pokemon. Unlike the majority of the pokemon Alexander had encountered on the island so far, the darumaka acted rather cheerful when it noticed him. The boy gave the fire type an uncertain wave in return and tilted his head when the darumaka started stepping towards a different route while waving at him. Did it want him to come with it? Follow it? After thinking a moment, Alexander let out a light sigh."M'kay, lead the way,"he said to the darumaka with some amusement audible as he tried to follow along behind the fire type.

The Darumaka would smile broadly upon seeing that Alex was following him. They were only going a short distance away. He led the way through behind a large rocky area and they came to an empty clearing with five large flat stones. The Darumaka let out a yell and a huge group of Darumaka appeared. They split into two groups and then four Darumaka took their positions standing behind the flat rocks. There was a spot for Alex when he decided to release a pokemon to enter the event. A line of four Darumaka formed next to each rock. The first Darumaka of each line would curl up into ball form and the Darumaka standing behind each rock would pick it up. It was looking to be a stacking and balancing game with Darumaka as the pieces! Was Alex and whichever pokemon he chose up to the challenge?
As Alistair continued forward, he would see a snowball coming straight towards his head and a second snowball heading for the Emolga perched on him! A pokemon leapt out giggling slightly before stepping directly in his path! ">Let's play!<" the ice pokemon exclaimed with a happy laugh. She would focus her gaze on the Emolga ready to start things off even if it wasn't guaranteed that would be her opponent. Well she would just have to try and coax the pokemon into playing. ">Let's battle!<" The Snorunt would begin trying to barrel into the snow and hide beneath it's depths to avoid what might be coming!
Alright so it's okay to make a mistake and then realize it...but I don't understand why you would continue posting after realizing you would make a mistake and not wait for me to answer first before doing anything else. Anyway. No deleting posts, we'll just ignore the third one for now and not let it count. What happens is your current non-battle post status is 6/10. So since this is your first double battle, I'll explain a couple things. It's basically like a normal battle though. However to calculate who goes first in this, you would have to add both of your pokemon's speed and whoever has the higher number attacks first. Any particular questions before we begin?
As Alex was walking along, a head would pop out of the ground. A second would follow right next to the first. The pokemon looked furious to be interrupted and it was obvious this was going to turn into a battle! As fate would have it, this was going to be Alex's first double battle! The Diglett brothers weren't about to back down!
Gin watched carefully as the Taillow charged in. A small bird like that would definitely have a speed advantage. However Takeshi was no stranger to battling or training. Speed could come naturally but it could also be gained through training and instincts. How would the battle fare this early?
The Charmander could feel the anticipation of participating in a battle go through his mind. Adrenaline pulsed through his blood as his eyes widened and he bared his fangs. The spikes along his back would rise up bristling. This was going to be great! That in mind, he would jump off Gin's shoulder ready to try and avoid the movement of the fast bird's Rage!
Scyther [F] Chiyome, Level 2 Nature: Lonely Stats: HP: 6/15/PP:18/ATK:11/DEF:7/SPD;9/SP-ATK:7/SP-DEF:8 MOVES: - Steel Wing - Leer EXP: 0/75 Bio: Takeshi and Gin were traveling through the Foggy Forest when they were challenged by a Scyther! The pokemon loved the thrill of the battle and had a high energy level along with a certain bloodlust. Curious, Gin watched as Takeshi deemed the pokemon worthy and so the shinobi caught her.
(I only edited the one post after making the other mistakes and then stopped to wait once I caught it. Should probably have edited the last post for clarity. As for double battles, guessing they work similarly to the game where certain moves target differently. Also, Flame Burst does a small amount of splash damage, so I have that going for me. So we do both attacks and defenses at once? I can already tell that the Digletts are gonna go first.)
A pair of heads popped out of the ground, surprising Alex some. They looked itching for a fight. He hoped they didn't have any ground type moves as he sent both pokemon out at once to get ready.
Yes. Just like any other battle, we will alternate attacking and defending. Roll for Defense, you have to roll 2d20 and label each roll Roll 1: Raiden, Roll 2: Pansear or vice versa.
Since it's your attack turn, you can roll 1d20 to attempt to retreat from the battle.
The Diglett would look at each other and the calm one would give a slight nod. They were both in agreement then. A quick flash of claws aimed to Scratch Raiden from Diglett #1 while Diglett #2 aimed to slam into Pansear with Headbutt!
The snowball hit Alistair square in the face; evidently, his reflexes still needed a little work. He yelped and sputtered, shaking the ice out of his hair and the snow out of his eyes. This was very clearly an assault! And an opponent who was willing to attack the human of the operation! Clearly, a foe with tactical prowess and nerve. "Lucianna!" he called, slightly dazed. "Air Slash!"
>But... playing...< Unlike her odd, paranoid owner, Lucy knew well that the Snorunt was just having a bit of fun-- that wasn't a proper attack at all. Still, clearly the Ice-Type wanted to fight, and she could oblige. The Emolga leapt of her trainer's shoulder and spun about mid-air, throwing a blade of air at the creature!.
