I climbed I slipped I fell but at least I tried

Mirai muffled a laugh "Don't hold your breath. I am pretty tough too." she said. She was quiet for a moment or two as she thought about everything that happened "Well... since I am so strong... and I have such rare powers... people are jealous of me and fear me it seems. I have also been targeted recently and because of that my family and anyone who really knows me is being targeted as well." she said. She sighed then "So there are quite a few burdens that come with being me I guess." she said with a small laugh.

Matt Matt nodded. "Yeah some of the kids would make fun of my friends and I because they had powers. But we always threw rocks at them and they went away," he told her proudly. "If people are targeting ya and stuff you should throw rocks at them too and I bet they'll leave you alone then!"

Matt Matt nodded. "Good luck then!" He told her. "Hopefully they'll stop being mean to you." He clasped his hands behind his back as he rocked back and forth slowly on his heels. "Just tell me if you need help okay? We're friends so I'll definitely help!"

Matt Matt smiled up at Mirai as she patted his head. "You're welcome!" He told her, seeming eager to help her out if she needed it. "You're really nice and cool so I'm glad we're friends!"

Matt Matt gave a big grin as he heard Mirai say he had cheered her up. "Yeah well that's what friends are for right?" He told her. "And you'd do the same for me! I mean, it can get lonely around here all by myself. Emma is really nice but she has important stuff to do and you're closer to my age which is good."

Mirai was about to ask how old Matt was but just decided to skip that "That is true. I am sure if you asked, Emma would drop whatever to hang out with you though." she said with a small smile.
