A final laurel on the achievements list of Dark Crusade: it has been voted second best strategy game of the year for the PC by the people. Find it here! And in the overall list Dark Crusade manages to snag the seventh place, not bad at all. It has been a good year for Relic.

Now all thats left is to wait for the tiniest bit of news on DoW 2 next year! Dammit I wont be satisfied until I get my Necrons vs Tyranids skirmish and get a Carnifex to chomp on some Guardians! -Mihawk

I don't know who's a fan of box art, and such matters, but I thought I'd post this here.

The necron case is similar but not the same to the American case that I'm aware you have.
The Tau case, to my knowldge, has only appeared in Europe.
Any Americans seen this before?

-Mykal I havent, and yeah, our Necron Version is different: has a mass of necron warriors and Space Marines a foot away from each other shooting off rounds, with the Necron Lord front and to the left, or is it right? DoW 2? I dont know if I'll buy that one, for some reason I feel bored with DoW, and no its not because I've played it so much that become un-interesting, It's just the same stuff, outbuild your opponent and squash they army.

That bloody Pc-DVD tag still pisses me right off. It's bad enough it's on one side, then they have the audacity to put it on the other?

Holy sh*t those are awesome! Specially the Tau one, the US one is the Necron box except its not as cool and kind of cheesy. The Necrons are mashed against some Space Marines (as in, 3 feet away from each other), it's not as...official looking. The only thing thats the same is the position of the Necron Lord and the Monolith but everything else is different. -Mihawk

Hrm, my DC sleeve isn't reversable (we only got the cool Necrons version shown above), however, the sleeve of Mark of Chaos is reversable, with a chaos side and an Empire side.
As for the tag, people are stupid and need to be warned that it will only run in a PC DVD player. I've worked in retail and trust me, people need such a large tag to know. Then again, around here in Europe they started doing most games on DVD format to save space and costs.

Just a nice pale green at the worst, to at least tie in with box art?

Some logo's and imagery are bound by certain colour codes, such as the PC DVD thing and the PEGI rating. Same with how most games these days come with a "Games for Windows" label these days on top of the sleeve.
Luckily PC DVD players are a standard these days, so the bother of people stomping up to you and shouting that their CD-ROM player can't play the DVD is a complaint of the past.

Aye. But knowing what's an expansion and what's a full game isn't. *anger* Bought Rise of The Witch King today, didn't realise it's an expansion to BFME2. I'll have to n** into town on tuesday and buy that.
It just has "You need BFMEII installed to run this game." in small gold lettering on the back bottom right of the case.

Ehehe, well it's been announced everywhere that it would be an expansion. I tend to skim over the sleeve and give it a speed-read. Most important factors are easily picked out.
