"Welcome ..."
A disembodied voice would declare to them. The sound would resonate throughout the room ....as it would stop once the echo was through.
"This is the battle room ....here you shall battle for your right to be in this academy. Thus, if you lose ....you will be dismiss. Though you are given two shots to succeed.
Now, let me ask ...do you want to go all out or do you want to take the tutorials."
The voice stated loudly.

Tyson looked around the room as he listened to the voice. He nodded and then thought about his options. He then grabbed the pokeball off his belt and held it out infront of himin his hand and said "Lets go all out!" As he then threw his pokeball and out popped his Deino. "We got this buddy!" Tyson said to Deino as his Deino stood by his trainer's side

senshi32 Tyson looked around the room as he listened to the voice. He nodded and then thought about his options. He then grabbed the pokeball off his belt and held it out infront of himin his hand and said "Lets go all out!" As he then threw his pokeball and out popped his Deino. "We got this buddy!" Tyson said to Deino as his Deino stood by his trainer's side
The voice would declare as a reddish light would strike the ground. A pokemon would clop one hoof against the ground as it points it's head towards it's opponent as electricity ran up and down his tail.
This was going to get very good ...very soon.
As the pokemon would dance closer to Tyson and drop something at his feet as the voice would declare again.
"Make sure you have your pokemon drink that ....so that no matter the outcome you will have a second chance at this fight."
The voice told him ....as it would seem that the battle would only start once his pokemon had consume the liquid.

xxxxxA young woman entered the room, her newly received Pokeball in hand as she walked cautiously, though she was trying to appear confident. "Hello, is anyone there," she called out. Her voice was a soft alto that, though it was more quiet than most, seemed to echo through the large room.
xxxxxShe took three more steps forward, her footfalls seeming to echo as well. The young trainer, feeling anxiousness fill her, released her Growlithe from its Pokeball. The male puppy Pokemon appeared before her in a flash of white light, and his eyes raised to look at her once the light faded. She bent down to pet the friendly Pokemon, who leaned into her hand as she pet him. Comforted by the warm and loyal Pokemon, the anxiousness lessened some, and she was able to stand tall and face whoever had summoned her into the room.

Though if her expectations was to be assaulted by a person ...she would be very disappointed. Instead, in this room that was fitted so much like a dojo with the varies stains of blood upon the ground a disembodied voice would address her.
The sound was not an alto, but a high brass tone, and it seemed to be angry as it snaps.
"Welcome to the battle arena, and don't expect any mercy here. You are to waste my time by battling, and I am going to defeat you ...then you go home crying to your momma. Though, just in case you win, you will be a full fledge member of your team ...Strike, and will start to take classes to train you for the position. If you lose once, you get to waste my time for a second time, so I get to humiliate you twice before you can leave."
"So, make your choice now ...do I wipe the floor with you in one go around, or am I going to instruct you during your a** whooping. Either way is good for me."
There was nothing but arrogance in that voice. And it was clear, that he was taunting her through and through, but whether she would go for it ...or simply thinking things through and choose the pace that best fit her ...was completely up to the girl as the disembodied voice waited.

xxxxxShe jumped as she heard the voice, but as she looked around, she could see no one. She cringed away from the taunting words, feeling like a fool for ever trying to join. But then she saw that Growlithe wan't cowering, but instead growling at the voice. She turned her fear into anger and frowned. "Growlithe and I will battle," she declared.
xxxxxGrowlithe barked his agreement and took a step forward, still growling towards the voice. He could see that his trainer was a bit of a coward, but he could also see that his presence might be enough to give her the courage to do what she truly wanted to do. And so he decided he would stay by her side and be the one to protect her.

"No duh." "It's why you are here in the first place, but you didn't answer my question."
The voice snap, and sarcasm was dripping its words as a bottle of something pink would appear magically at her feet. It was technology at it's finest, but the organization would have nothing less. Years of being the top dog had it's benefits ...even if they had fallen quite far since those days.
"Now, do I need to teach you how to fight, or are you going to just fight me? I need to be clear on these sort of things, because, as bad a** as I am ...there is a few people worst than me ....that I much rather stay on the good side of."
The voice seemed to be talking of things that she wouldn't know nor would she know anytime soon ....as a reddish light would strike the ground. A yawn would escape the maw of the pokemon as one foot would reach up from it's rear and scratch itself near it's neck. Craning a bit, the canine would close his eyes as he gave off the same sort of arrogances at the voice itself.
His ears flicking just a bit.
As he continued until he got tired of it.
"So, this will be my pokemon of choice. He has already had a taste of that liquid, so he is well protected ...I suggest you let your pokemon drink some as well. I do plan on killing your Growlithe there, but, I don't way to see you crying over him so soon.
It's much more fun ....to completely crush your hope ...the second time around."
The voice chuckles a bit as the Lillipup's eyes would roll at his comment.

xxxxxShe gulped at the snap of the voice, and looked down at her feet to find a bottle of pink liquid. She picked it up, and Growlithe turned to her to sniff the liquid. He snorted at the smell of it, but opened his mouth so she could pour it in. She did so, hoping that it wouldn't be harmful. Growlithe drank it, his expression giving away his distaste, but there were no other signs that it was harmful.
xxxxxMiyako stood back up and answered the voice. "You don't need to teach us how to fight. We can do it on our own." Growlithe let out a growl as another Pokemon appeared. He crouched down on his front paws, his tail high in the air as he readied for the attack.

"Your funeral ...or at least that of your Growlithe."
The voice almost laughed at her a bit as the Lillipup would take a few steps upon the field. It was only then that two screens would pop from the wall ...one display that of the Lillipup's stats while the other area showed her Growlithe.
"A good battle always begin with the acknowledgement of strengths, but I this one isn't going to be a good battle. YOur growlithe is horribly weak."
The voice would state as the Lillipup would hunker down. He couldn't attack first, and thus, he would defend ....as he looked to try and either block or dodge the incoming attack. xxxxxMiya frowned and swallowed, though it was the only fear she showed. "Growlithe is not weak," she argued. "We'll prove it!" Normally not one for confrontations, she felt her heart beat quickly and loudly in her chest. Growlithe howled in agreement with her, his tail wagging a bit as he crouched back down to attack.
xxxxxMentally going through the list of attacks that Growlithe knew, she was deciding between two of them. "Use Bite," she told Growlithe. The decision probably wasn't the best option, as her other choice was stronger, but she would have had the risk of Growlithe attacking itself later. She would use it when she knew it wouldn't be as big of a risk.
xxxxxGrowlithe barked and began to run towards the Lillipup, his mouth open as he prepared to Bite down on the other puppy Pokemon. Once he got a few steps away, he leaped towards him, attempting to physically knock back his defenses so he could use the attack he'd been ordered to.

(Our system works with the dice ....I have to figure out where it's place, but it is posted somewhere here.)
The attack would collide as fangs found fur, and the Lillipup would howl in pain. Shaking his body from side to side as the Growlithe's bite sunk deep ....he was flinch ...as all thoughts of attacking himself was lost. He just wanted to get those jaws off of him ...as he dance and buck ..trying to release those fangs from their grip on his skin.
Blood would slide from between the pokemon's teeth and slick his fur in the attempt.
"Tch, lucky shot."
The voice would declare as the girl would see just how real these battles were as her chance to attack again would come up. Afterall, trying to get away from those fangs were all that the Lillipup was thinking about, there was no way that he would be able to attack again with it clench so tightly.
(dmg calculation: first differences in rolls 18 - 12 = 6 (Bite flinches if the differences of the rolls is 6 or more)
Your growlithe's attack is 8 - 7 of my Lillipup's defense thus = 1 differences
Add it together and the dmg to my pokemon is 7)

xxxxxMiyako had seen Pokemon battles on TV, and played the games several times, but she'd never actually seen them in person. She winced as she heard the Lillipup's howl of pain, and felt guilty. Then she remembered why she was there, and did her best to force the feelings of guilt away.
xxxxx"Growlithe, use Outrage this time," she ordered, ready to take the risk now. Growlithe let go of the Lillipup and growled, his mouth open as compressed heat formed into a ball, then seemed to explode in the direction of the other puppy Pokemon.

Exp gained: 43 The lillipup was still fighting hard as he felt those jaws let go ...and the extra weight detach itself. The pokemon landing a few feet away as the blood drip from his fur upon the ground ....as the Lillipup's fur would stand on end. He flinched slightly as he looks up into the face of his opponent to see the glowing ball of energy forming in his mouth, and real fear would start to dot the pokemon's fur with sweat.
This was the first time that he had every fear anything or anyone, because, he knew ....as the attack was sent towards him what was about to happen. He knew ...he was about to die.
The ball would hit him point blank in the face and chest as the move would explode tearing away those sections as blood would splatter the area as a cloud of dust was thrown up.
The limp form of the lillipup would lay on the opposite side of the field. The entire area was drench in it's blood, and there was little doubt as the pokemon's hp drop to zero on the screen that this battle was over. Though that wasn't all ....the little limp body ...wouldn't even twitch ....the pokemon was dead.
As Miyako would make her first kill as the voice would roar at her.
"DAMN you to hell! Welcome to the Strike team ....head towards the pokelots next to get your land, and ...."
This time ...there would be a form that would drop from the ceiling. The boy's hand and feet would touch the mat as it would seem he had drop from a distances as the strange wrapping around his throat would ripple in the air for a moment. Touching the ground once, as the bells on the end would chime to announce his arrival as he walks towards the body.
"...I will make you pay for this ....you b***h."
He wasn't short on any curse words as he walks over the limp form and brushes his hand in the pokemon's fur as the body starts to glow. It would soon be consume by light as it turns into a egg.
"Be aware of this, pokemon die here ....and it's not some game you can restart. Only the potion you took earlier will forestall death. But, it's a very temporary measure, it lasts for a day ...and can only do the trick once."
"Be thankful you didn't have to use it now."
He would pick up the egg. Then walk past Miyako ....
"You are lucky, you are in strike, I heard the professor for the Guard Team is a real b*****d. Good luck."
The boy's words were strange. His red eyes flaring with his hair as he walked past her, and it was a forewarning of the type of people she might meet here.(Dmg: 20 - 6 = 14 + 8 - 7 = 1 = 15dmg Hp: - 8dmg (anything -7 or more ends up in death of a pokemon) (Oh, I found the information ....you can see the battle system on the front page of the battle arena.)
