Hey guys...What do you think is the best free program to use?
I'd like to try other options besides paint, but I'm a cheap little person and don't feel like buying goody programs for money. sweatdrop

The links list sticky thread at the top of the main guild forum has a few links to free art software.
I'm told The Gimp gets pretty close to Photoshop, but other sources say it's a pile of tripe. Another new (or so I assume) program is Graphics Gale, I haven't heard much about that one, so you'd be best taking a look for yourself:
