Synne frowned "I don't need that. I change spells at any time... the magic does what I tell it to."
Erian poked his sister "And that dangerous! You don't understand all the elements that go into spell creation and even magic itself."
She shrugged "Its worked for me so far with no problems"

Proteus frowned, "Wait a second, so what have you been teaching us all this time?"
"Basic principles of magic," Valzar said quietly. "He said that before."

"Perhaps for some," Az allowed. "But it'll help you. What are you interests in magic? I already know Valzar wants to learn about shields and Proteus likes...just about anything. What about you two?"

Erian shrugged "It takes me so long to do something... that I'm just glad I can do anything. I like learning about defense work though"

"Alright," Az said nodded and glanced at Erian. "You and Valzar seem to have similar interests. You might do well to practice together sometime. And you..." he glanced at Synne. "Keep in mind that while magic may make things easier, you should still be able to do things without it..."
"Um, Dad..." Proteus cut in trying to avoid that "what if you didn't have magic" speech. "I thought we were learning about theory today?"
Az smiled, "You're right. And I have an idea, you and Valzar can catch Synne and Erian up on the theory we've covered and they can tell you about the theory they've studied..."
