"You will know when you are needed, Angel," Neb stated, as she left the room.

His choice was a simple one: Either meditate and help the Republic until Imperius came to him, or go to Imperius himself, and get things in motion.

Normally, Neb would be cautious. Knowing full well that he could really annoy the "dark lord" by not coming to him, but what would berift of it? Imperius would scuttle the ship, more than not, if he did this. But going directly to the lord would be foolish, impudent, and totally impatient, three things Neb was not known for.

To compromise, Neb instead headed to the observation deck, a fairly large room that had an adequate view of the planet and the battle. It wasn't that far away from any hangar, and yet, still on the path from Feron's departure.

So, sitting in front of the outlooking window, Neb stared out into the space.

Space outside, space inside. Everwhere we have space. I can't believe how much we've achieved, and yet, fail to achieve in itself. I see plans within plans, as Imperius is transient. His pupil, Drako, is quite transparent. Yet, my feelings still tell me that there is something I missed, something which I did not plan for. If I was to be garunteed victory, they would all have to die. But then again, death is something which none of us should deal out gratutiously.

Sitting down, Neb stared out, waiting and medidtating.

(( *Does moon walk* Oh yeah! ))

Novara sat with his blasters still in hand. Drako walked off as he always does.

" Wow......Have not had to hide like that since.....Fett! " Getting up Novara walked to the Droid and kicked it.

" OW OW OW OW OW!!! SLAGGIN NO GOOD !!!!!! " Looking around he looked for some thing to get the droid to the bay. Seeing a magnet lift he walked to it.

" This will do..... " Getting in he started it up and moved to the droid. Driving to the bay he saw something on the droid.

" .......'Black Sun .inc'......The sith? Empire? The hell is this? "

Getting to the bay, Novara pulled in and got the droids in the bay to move it to a station.

Novara took off his helm and sighed.

He turned to the droid.

((Drako, is quite transparent.....HEY!!!! stressed ))
PostPosted: Mon Jan 23, 2006 6:02 pm

((Transparent. I stole the line from the guild navagators when talking about Shaddam Corrino IV, when his plan to pit the two houses against each other. Same situation applies. Neb does not know what is necessarily on Drako's end, but Drako himself is not a very complicated man to read. Face it, he's a warlord, not a logician. Meaning he swings a sword, rather than make numbers disappear on the books.))

Novara worked carfully to find who made the droid and why its was so good at dodging his well placed shots.

Hours had gone by and he had only two things. First was the symble of Black Sun. That lead him no where. Black Sun had been crushed long ago.

If this is a Black Sun unit....then there have to be more.

Second, Novara had found parts from droids only empire could get thier hands on.

But the old empire is gone too! Slag! This does not make sence. How is this droid still up and running!?

Angel began doing some simple lightsaber manuevers, to keep busy rather than actually train, as her mind was too bothered with the thoughts of what was about to happen to focus on anything else very much. After a while, she spotted her dancer outfit among her things and thought back to that night, when their passions went wild. " Phoenix... I can't bear to lose you. Don't let all this cause you to be consumed by your own ambitions... " she thought. As if on cue, she heard his voice through the Force saying to bring Neb. Although reluctant, she went out and found Neb. " He wants me to bring you to him. " she said, her tone hinted at her lack of desire for what was going to happen. " If only it hadn't come down to this... " she said quietly. " Shall we go? "

"There are some things in this lifetime we cannot control. Whether we are lords of war or simple farmboys, we can only manage what we need to do. I will kill Imperius. Whether Feron goes with him depends on something entirely out of my own control," Neb stated, getting up with a slight groan.

"I'm probably getting too old for this kind of fighting. Bah! Age is no excuse. With the force as an ally, many things become possible. Please, I do ask that you at least watch. Consider it a learning experience. But do not interfere. Things must progress unhindered, no matter the looks. If I have my way, we shall all be alive, in one piece, and kicking. But that depends on the stubborness of the Dark Side. Like poison from a wound, I'll have to draw it."

Of course, Neb's concious kicked in, and the Jedi power of empathy seemed prevalent. By this time, such skills were common knowledge... and sometimes, did not want to turn off.

"Oh bother. All this talk of death and poison makes even me depressed. Perhaps a smile is a better thing to stare such things down than an angry grimace."

With that, he offered a hand to Angel, as if in courteousy, and led the way to the Dark Lord.

The various coms from all the fighter squadrons sang out, with Mordranna giving a grin as Wedge Antilles himself announced Rogue squadron's presense. "Lock S-foils into attack position," came her order.
"You got it," Wedge crowed. "Glad to have a Jedi here in the fighters with us again,"
"Glad to have you with us, Wedge," Mordranna commed Wedge. She then commed the Squires. "All right, Squires. Watch the Rogues - they'll show you how it's done!"
On that note, the cosmos ahead swarmed with many an enemy fighter.

(( Uh ... FP: are you using droids and/or TIEs? ))

(("Odd...I wouldn't think I would have such obsolecent designs and parts in my droids. Must be a glitch." *smug* xd
And speaking of droids and magnets..."Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care, Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care..."))

Chidee's small fleet of ships dropped out of hyper on the border of the system, as the complicated gravatics around Mustafar made a closer exit needlessly complicated.
As the ships steadily approached Mustafar, Chidee recieved a staticy, somewhat blurry, but still fairly understandable message from Drako.
"Acknowledged, my Master. I hope to have this resolved soon." was his simple reply.

Chidee boarded his shuttle and flew towards Mustafar, his warships standing off at a polite distance from the planet.
"Fralideja port control; state your name and purpose." came the standard inquiry.
"Chidee Heprek. I am on a diplomatic mission." he answered, transmitting his credentials to the planet.
"...Affirmative...please have your ships remain outside orbital borders...Welcome to Mustafar, Ambassador; you are been expected...You are cleared for docking. Transmitting instructions..."
"Yes, but of course. The ships were merely an escort, these are trying times, after all." he said, as his shuttle flew in on autopilot.
"Understood. Welcome to Mustafar, and enjoy your stay. Fralideja port control out."

***

After being taking on a tour of the major sites in the city, he was ushered into a large fortress, and into a council chamber.
A planet of surprising beauty...and the warmth is always appreciated, if not the dryness and ash. he thought to himself, as he sipped at a thermos of cool water. It might be an interesting place for a home.
Walking through the hallways, he noticed long burn marks along the walls. What have we here...? Those look like saber marks. "What is that?" he asked his guide.
"Scars from some old duel." answered his guide. "This place was made by outsiders. The outsiders left, and it is ours now."
I wonder...I thought I felt a strange echo in the Force...bah, I have far more important things to think about... he thought, putting it behind him and steeling himself for the meeting.

Chidee left his bodyguard droids in the hall as he stepped into the chambers.
"Here, they are a mere formality, a habit." he said with a dismissive wave of the hand, as he walked to his seat.
The chamber main feature was a long table, around which Mustafarian dignitaries were seated. A large window, blastscreen down, gave a stunning view of Mustafar's fierce beauty.

Clearing his throat, and taking one last drink from his thermos, he made his introductions and began speaking.
"Noble Mustafarians, I come today in the spirit of friendship. You are a proud and strong people, and I believe that a relationship between us will benefit all of us.
We ask that you allow us to invest in your world; in exchange, we offer the protection of our armies, and the bountiful prosperity of renewed trade and industry. Under the Empire and the Republic alike, you were pushed aside, your greatness ignored; by our side..."

Seven hours later, the treaties were signed and sealed.

Not bad, not bad at all. he thought to himself, rubbing at his throat while he poured himself some water. I've still got it. Didn't even bother to use the Force; that's for unskilled negotiators, methinks.
His personal computer informed him that Drako's ship had entered the system, and that his shuttle should be landing soon.
Ah, Drako has arrived. he thought, sipping at his water. He took a low-concentration bacta inhaler and took a few breaths from it.
I shall have bacta breath for a while, but at least I am able to speak. Somewhat.
He sent a message to Drako, his voice hoarse and scratchy, but still quite clear.
"Master Drako, excellent news; Mustafar has signed a treaty with us. We have much to discuss; where and when shall we meet, my Master?" he asked.

Finished, he signed out. After a brief fit of coughing, he finished his water, straightened out his clothes, and set of for the meeting.

((You don't mind if I take Drako to Mustafar, do you? I mean, that's where he was going, right?
Right, and I'm assuming Drako and Chidee picked somewhere to meet. His guest room, his shuttle, aboard the Dreg up in orbit...somewhere))

Cale sighed iritably and leaned against a wall. The outlaw had almost caught up to the hunter when a bar brawl spilled out into the street. in the confusion Cale lost sight of the hunter. From what he could tell though, the Hunter wasn't actively looking for a target.
"Ah well. good enough news for me." He muttered to himself.
he activated his wrist comn and dialed up the Twi'lek girl. "Yo, Blue. It's Cale. What's your status?"

As they made their way, Angel looked at Neb. " I never got the chance... to really thank you for showing me the truth that time. If it hadn't been for you, I'd still be believing a lie and wanting the Jedi all wiped out. " After a brief moment of silence, she tried to get her mind off the worry she had about what was to come. " You know, I always wondered something... If it was possible to become so strong in the Force you could move the stars themselves... " As they came closer and closer to what may very well be the deciding battle of the war, Angel said, " I have every intention to be nearby, as a spectator. If nothing else, I'll be able to see how 2 masters fight each other and learn by observation some techniques. Here... " she said, pulling out her sabers and offering them. " If you have any doubts that I'll only be there to watch, take them. "

Mordranna made note of the Executor class SD among the enemy ranks, even as she blasted a droid fighter into space dust.
"Boss! They have a Super Star Destroyer out there!" chimed in Squire Seven.
"So they do," Mordranna replied. "And we have one as well." Tuning into the fleet in general, she gave the order. "All ships: rally around the Lusankya. We're going in, and we're going to hit 'em where it hurts!" At once, she and the rest of the Squires filled the space between the MC80 Sea's Dream and the gargantuan SSD Lusankya. "I also advise any senators and civilian personell to evacuate the warships, and head to Yavin Four."
"Goin' in hot, boss!" Wedge commed Mordranna, as he took the Rogues ahead into the fray, the Rogues streaking across the Lusankya's bow.
"May the Force be with you, Rogue Lead. Happy hunting!"
