Aye, goons.

Iden didn't need the encouragement. This whole op was him venting steam...it was just the man's ill fortune that Iden picked him out as his first target. Lucky him the young Brujah had no intention of using firearms.

However, Iden did match this Marks' gaze with his own glacial glare.

Because goons don't have the common sense to know when to keep their opinion stowed, like a good little boy. You, my good sir, are a babbling little meathead among men. And if it's muscle that'll make you understand...then look me up sometime after the drop. I'll give you a good lesson or two.

Cocksure, confident, loud and arrogant. Iden was enjoying himself, even though he wasn't truly concerned with this man to begin with. It did help pass the time, bickering with the natives.

*To Marks' credit, it only took him 0.2 seconds to draw his arm back and he was the kind that was LEAN muscled - agile. The punch aimed at Iden's temple, if it landed, would be brain rattling. Roan groaned faintly and shook her head, banking the plane slightly as they hit more turbulance, just WAITING for Iden to smack Marks before he could blink, potentially revealing what they each were. With luck, she could blame it on the plane tilting, driving Marks INTO Iden;s fist... rather than the kid moving faster than could be seen*

The blow connected. Iden's head cracked backwards, the blow having made stars blast into his vision. But his recovery was quick, and then he was on his feet.

To his credit, Iden was not using his disciplines. But, that didn't mean he wasn't fast. As he stood, his knee rose to slam painfully into Marks' crotch. The poor man wouldn't have much time to react, though...not with Iden's hands grabbing at the man's shoulders, and pulling him into a fierce headbutt. It was POSSIBLE that Iden would break the poor sod's nose...though that was all, of course, none of Iden's concern.

*Prehaps Iden had reckoned without the rst of the squad, or unity. He;d find himself ringed by men as they rose from tgheir seats into the small clear space in the gap between seats. The plane was pitching and yawing like there was no tomorrow as Roan deliberately hit pockets of air, throwing those unseated about the hold as Frank bellowed a command to cut it out from his seat.
Roan;s shrill whistle pierced the air as she dipped the plane again, sending one man reeling backwards towards Iden's crate. For a second, there was a scent of jungle, then two things happened simulatenously. A bracket fell from above and something slashed open one of the men's clothing, not touching skin, but tearing the cloth - Javos.*

If you lot dont settle down, another one of those brackets will fall and look what its done to your mate...

*Most returned to their seats, slightly shaken as the plane levelled out, but Marks, regaining his breath from the crotch shot, again lashed out for Iden. NOW it would be one on one, and Marks was a deft hand to hand fighter*

Iden had counted on it. Of course, Iden had also counted on his ability to sit them back down, if he needed to. But it turned out that he hadn't...instead, Iden had been forced to brace himself as the plane suffered through the turbulence Roan subjected it to.

When the men finally managed to haul themselves back into their seats, Iden nodded. Marks still wanted a piece, and Iden was all too willing to oblige. Ducking the swing, Iden rammed his shoulder into the man's solar plexus, putting enough force behind the blow to force past whatever guard the man had. The intent was simple enough...Iden was going to FORCE him to his seat, one way or another.

*Growling as Iden ducked under his arm, Marks didnt fight the shoulder, instead, he dropped both hands to it, clinging to Iden as he was forced backwards, headbutting him with extreme speed in the process. Marks was just what he said - a muscle man. But he was fast, for a human. His reactions were instinctive, a born brawler, not afraid of getting hurt to put one over on his opponent. Thus, the headbutt was again designed to rattle his opponents brain, Marks also using Iden's momentum to take his weight as HE now drove a knee into IDEN's stomach, relying on the dual attack to allow him to roll away when Iden was distracted....*

The knee to his gut did not stop Iden. For the show he made of having some of the wind taken from him, Iden was unphased, and was operating on an equally instinctual manner as Marks.

The difference was, Marks did not possess Potence. Iden was using the skill in moderation, simply because this WAS a matter of brawn. Iden WOULD assert dominance.

Iden's left arm wrapped around Marks' knee, and once again the shoulder slammed the flight sergeant into the bulkhead. This time the impact would be more than just a little shaking...this man would have no wind, and the banging of his head on the metal bulkhead would certainly do him no good.

Shrugging aside the man's rebuttal, Iden pulled back. His hands were clenching to Marks uniform, and as he whirled about, he brutally slammed the airman back into his seat. With a boot lifted to Marks' chest to ensure he stayed put, Iden met him with his glacial gaze.

Sit down, shut up, and maybe I'll think twice about tossing you out the back without a chute. Take a lesson from your squadmates...they're doing themselves well.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 26, 2008 2:53 pm

*The Flight Sergeant groaned as he was thrown to his seat after smashing his skull against the bulkhead, rattled but probably hurt more by pride than anything - Iden looked scrawnier than him and had just effectively put the man in his place like a child into a baby seat.
His eyes were crossed and unfocused from teh impact, lip bleeding slightly from where he;d bitten it, but the man still made a half hearted struggle against Iden's boot before surrendering, raising both hands sullenly.
His 'friends' if he could be said to HAVE any, avoided Iden's eyes, but it was clear he'd earnt some of their respect as they ALL eased down. It wasnt every day a bully like Marks got put down by a 'kid' half his size, and from the hidden smiles of many, they were just as damn pleased to see it as Iden had been to be the one to DO it.*

If we've all finished oozing testosterone at each other...
Ah what would you know lass. You're a girl, for all your a good'un
I know I can beat the crap outta any one of you lot. My kid included.
Is that so...
Why dont you ask him? Fancy some one on one Iden?

*She was smirking as she leaned back and lit a cigarette, winking*

Good boy.

Iden's boot pulled back, and with no further comment, he made for his seat. Respect had not been the intent, though he could feel the attention garnered was more positive than not. He had just meant to shut the man up, mostly. It had worked, and Iden was damn glad it had worked.

No, Roan...not here. Maybe when I get back home.

*Frank whistled lowly and grinned as he turned back in his chair, flicking the internal radio on. Music decorated the cockpit, settling the group in for a fairly quiet flight the rest of the way to Arabia.

As they mad etheir approach, Roan and Frank again dropped into technical mode, flicking the radio off fourty minutes out form teh first drop site. The Hercules actually DROPPED altitude again for a while, engines thrumming as it picked up speed, skimming into foreign airspace as the chatter went back and forth.

After a short while, the Hercules started to climb. Once they reached drop altitude, Roan signalled to Frank who unbuckled and slid into the back to get his squad prepped for the drop*

Ok lads, lets grab some fresh air. Everyone good?

*Most seemed to be. Save for Marks, who was still sulking and trying to regain his bruised ego. I was him Frank approached*

Flight Sergeant. Your fourth out the gate, but first... why not go tell our visiting Leuitenant its a pleasure working with him? Im sure you'll feel better for it.

*Code for: Kiss and make up, or your on a charge. Reluctantly, Marks sighed and held out a hand to Iden*

Iden sat through the remainder of the flight without a word spoken, or a care given. Now that the grumblings had been dealt with, all was well in the world.

Come the time for the Falcon's drop, Iden remained much as he had been for most of the flight...silent, and uncaring. As Marks extended a hand, Iden flashed him that cocky smirk...the one meant to rub in just how badly the "kid" had beaten the man down. The handshake was firm, but Iden meant him no more harm...hopefully, the lesson would sink in. Not likely, but hopefully.

*Marks was grimacing, but bit out the words expected of him, then moved to the back of the plane, slipping his helmet on and gearing up with his jump buddy. A few minutes later, all was noise as the hatch opened, the first pair preparing to jump.

In all, it took barely ten minutes for the entire squad to make their drop, then the hatch closed again as Roan turned the plane for the second site - Idens drop*

Suit up kid. Your next. Ten minutes.

That sly grin would not leave Iden's face...not until Marks had made the jump. Then, Iden just leaned back in his seat, glad to have some time where he WASNT stuck in an aerial tin can with a squad of jocks.

:: Javos coming with me, or with my kit? ::
PostPosted: Fri Dec 26, 2008 4:39 pm

Parachute for one, coming up. We'll drp everything else - your kit and all that... after. You'll have to manage pick up in the dark solo. You'll cope.

*Her not so subtle way of telling him Javos was going with his kit. WHAT she had done to the big cat was unclear, but apprently he'd be fine. And she was still studiously avoiding talking into his head. Roan hit the hatch switch a few minutes later*

Good luck, Iden... come home soon and safe, ok?

Roger that, chief.

Iden was strapping on his 'chute when Roan explained. He nodded, his gaze wandering to the crate, and where Javos WOULD be perched...assuming he hadn't moved.

No problem. You know me, mate...you just can't be rid of me.

It was the last words before Iden bodily flung himself out the back hatch, as per his drop.

The landing was a bit rough. Iden HAD done this before...but it also had been a fair while. So when he hit the ground, he lay there for a few moments, recovering from the impact that had left his legs quite sore.

Damn, man...
