Pyrotechnic Oracle lymelady Does anyone know if we have any pages involving this? http://www.drtiller.com/remembrance.html Huuu...is that for woman who saught a late term abortion because of medicle reasons...or simply because they wanted to? Because i don't fully understand it. "Kansas law allows for post-viability abortion procedures when continuing the pregnancy is detrimental to the pregnant woman's health." But, as it's been pointed out by Misasngelitas, the detrimental to woman's health includes mental health and can be for a wide variety of reasons.

But then they wouldn't make much money, would they? Yeah...thats ture. But, atleast they acknowledge, if even nod, to the fact that it is alive and human. They name it, give it a death critificate (I suppose thats what it is) a proper cremation or burial, etc.

Oh yes. If I miscarried, I'd want to have some of those services available, it'd help me deal with it I think.
It's just that it's Tiller.

My biggest wonder is, if abortion on demand is illiegalised (and it appears to be heading that way...very slowly though), how will the government handel the claim of "Its in my body, my body. And has no right to be there if I don't want it to."

The woman seems to be prochoice though. *Sigh* Two things in that article lead me to believe that. One: Her beilife that the child is apart of the mother (when science has proven its not) and two: that she supposedly dosn't want her research to lead to an end of abortion. "SHe declined discussion on what many anti-abortion groups would use her work for"
Seriouskly though, once artificial wombs are created and succesful, whats the point of abortion? She stated she dosn't want her research to be used as another way out of pregnancy...that good. But the only other alternative would be to kill the fetus if not place it in an AW.

Pyrotechnic Oracle Hmmmm...I think they need to put a bit more thought into that. SOme mental health problems can be gotton through with counciling And sometimes ones that you think could CAN'T. Do you believe that all depressive disorders can be solved with only counciling? I'm living proof that it's bullshit to think that. I STARTED counciling when I was in sixth grade, twelve years old. I'm almost 20 now, 8 years, and it's still just as strong. 12 suicide attempts (most of which while not only in therapy but on medicine) and more manic attacks (just, if not more dangerous, as the depression) than I can count. So, who are you to be able to say that some mental health problems can be gotten through with counciling? Look at a person, not at the condition and you'll learn a lot.

Some can't, but there are some people who can be helped by counseling. Abortion isn't necessarily going to leave a woman alright psychologically, either. It's a case by case thing when it comes to a woman's health.

First off Viv: I said some, not all. Its bad karma to assume something of people you don't know. Second: the condition you described is yours, and it dosn't count for every one. Last: I'm starting to think that the pro-choicers have to assume the bad in every thing.

Dear lord I see the sparks flying now...
Any way we can avoid a heated debate about the sentience of a fetus that will ultimately end up in three people leaving due to insults made about their parentage and things like that?
