OOC: Ahem... "Hybrid Sentinels". Highly adaptable sentinels capable of using surrounding technology and adapting them. To um... kill mutants. They're tough little bastards. In any case, here are the three biggies.

Chicken Sentinels - Tiny sentinels, resembling robotic chickens, brimming with small arms. Uzis, hand guns, even tiny razor blades. They can fly using tiny wings or jet packs A single chicken sentinel is weak and all but useless in a fight. Unfortunately, they attack in swarms... large swarms...

Snake Sentinels - Much larger, acting as tanks. Think a sentinel's head, with gigantic ******** guns for arms, and a bunch of segmented wheel sections, kinda like a semi, except there are so many it looks like a giant snake.

Man-o-wars - Think a giant floating sentinel head with a bunch of whip-like tentacles underneath, covered in barbed wire and hooks. They snare their victims, then pull them up to tiny compartments on the side which contain powerful cannons. Anyone ends up in one of these, and their fried (though I suppose John would be quite immune).

Yukiko crawled to safety and reached a corner, looking behind to make sure none was following. Turning back around, a uzi was shoved into her face.

"Cluck, cluck," the chicken sentinel said as though telling her 'Hasta la vista, baby.'

Thinking fast, she grabbed the bird, froze its systems, and forcefully threw it on the bricked wall making it explode.

"Be careful! Our feathered friends have got guns!" Snowflake shouted.

Rolling back towards the group, she started to mass produce iced balls and lapidated a couple of ennemies. It had no effect as they began to shoot at her. Running around comically, Yukiko put her hands in the air and yelled, "Don't shoot, I'm innocent! HELLLP!"

When she reached Gambit, her mood took a 180 degrees turn as the teenaged girl was unaccustomed to such situations, and she angrily grabbed his shirt, "What are you standing around for?!? Do something and protect me, you sexy s**t!"

Wanda swiftly turned around and sent the chicken like robot crash into one of his brothers. When they started to shoot at her, she ran and hide behind a tree. Think. How can I get rid of lots of sentinels in a short time?

"What the ******** is this s**t?! I told you to take me to the bagel shop!!" yelled the squirrel who finally shown his face out of her coat.

"I'm a little busy at the moment," said angrily Wanda.

"Busy? BUSY?! How can you be too busy to take care of me?!"

Wanda grabbed the furry fury by the collar and shown him the chicken sentinels. "If those kill me, there will be no bagel shop for you."

"Chicken robots!? Who the hell thought to send you chicken robots to kill you?! The guy must have some chicken complex or something."

The squirrel ran back on Wanda's shoulder. "That or he has weird sense of originality. But those things looks effective."

At those words, 20 or so chicken sentinels found them and dived to toward them, shooting at them. Wanda shoved her hands and sent back their firepower directly at them and destroyed all of them.

"Wow! That was cool! Do it again!"

Wanda grinned. "That's my plan little one." She ran out of her hidding place. "HEY! OVER HERE!" she yelled to the little robots.

"Ehhh... you sure this is safe? I don't want to become a bagel myself," asked the squirrel with a doubtful expression on his face.

"You'll be fine. You're with me. Besides those machines are nothing compared to my father."

"Oh great... You have problems with your father? Just kill the b*****d and get over it!"

"Already did," answered Wanda as she sent back for a second time the firepower of the little chickens back to them.

The squirrel blinked. "Ok. I didn't expect that answer. You're kinda cool. But you still owe me a bagel."

Nicole looked around, the jet was getting hit again and again by those chicken sentinals. Why hadn't she just destroyed them all when she had the chance? She got up from her seat beside Eric and began walking towards the front.
"Nicky? Where are you going?" Eric asked.
"Hold on." Nicole placed her hand up and stared out of the window. There were a bunch of those weird chicken things. She frowned and then touched a button on her belt and suddenly appeared out on the roof of the jet. Her feet stuck to the roof and she stood there, glaring at the sentinal army.
"Son of a b***h." She whispered.

Eric sat in his chair. "What was going to happen?" He closed his eyes and thought hard. "Professor." He called out in his mind. "we have to get away from this before we're all killed."

Almost as soon as Kitty and Jacen started to walk through the hallways of the mansion, he heard his commlink fire up with a transmission.

"Jacen!! We're taking heavy fire!!!" It was Cyclops and he sounded hurried.

"Get the ******** out of there then!!!," Jacen yelled as he motioned Kitty to find Wolvie and Storm.

"We are, but be prepared. They've breached the hangar and should be storming the mansion at any given time." Then Cyke's comm went dead as Jacen could feel the rumble of the engines through the floor. (forgiveness if I ******** that up.)

He wasn't a few dozen feet down the hall when he heard a loud explosion and saw a swarm of Chicken-legged Sentinels storm in and start blasting. Above them were two drone like Man-O-War looking things. Obviously Sentinels as well. Without any preparation, Jacen started to recieve heavy fire.

"Goddammit!!," he yelled as he jumped back a step and braced himself for the onslaught. He hoped that Kitty had found the other two, and that they were safe. Not that he wasn't. He felt like he could take on all of these machines by himself. Then they charged. When two of them bumrushed him, he managed to step out of the way of one, but was hit with launched blade that cut his arm superficially. Instinctively, he unfurled his blade and took a baseball swing at the creature, sending it back into three of the other ones.

"Home run, ********....," Jacen snarled as he threw his hood up over his face. Then more and more of these chicken sentinels were coming after him, but he stood his ground. Blast after blast kept knocking them all back into each other, but they had an unnatural resolve to kill. And unfortunately for him, he had only taken out about five of these things, leaving about 15 others plus the two floating Sentinels.

He must have taken his mind away from the Man-O-Wars due to being nearly overwhelmed by the smaller Sentinels. He had looked up just in time to see one of the Man-O-War's flick it's tentacle at Jacen which wrapped sharply around his right forearm. With a loud scream, Jacen felt thousands of tiny barbs get buried deep into his flesh. Then, he felt a sense of weightlessness, almost as if he was dancing on air. He knew it was Kitty and he was eternally grateful for her showing up when she did.

"Thanks, Kat," Jacen said rubbing his arm gingerly, "Did you find Wolverine?" His question was immediately answered when he heard Wolvie's trademark howl and the sounds of metal sheering through metal. "That answers that question...."

"Are you alright, Jacen?," she asked, noticing his nigh-mangled arm.

"I'm fine," replied Jacen hurriedly as he started to head off towards the others. "There's too many of them though. We need to fallback and regroup."

"I'm on it," Kitty said while effortlessly phasing the two to where Storm and Wolverine were in the midst of their own battle. Even through the pain, Jacen managed to knock a few of the encroaching chicken-legged machines away from Storm before she flew up in the air. It looked as if she were smiling. Without question, order, or concern for his own safety, Jacen jumped headlong into the battle when he saw the wave of robots he had fought come into the equation. His only concern was protecting his home and the residents.

The taxi Kaiere was in pulled sharply to the side of the road, tyres squealing, sending the red-haired girl careering into the opposite side of the cab. When the vehicle came to a complete stop, she flicked the hair from her eyes and screamed at the driver.

"What the heck was that about, I could have got hurt!" She was angry, but could never hold a grudge for long, especially when she looked at the driver's face. He was pale and gaping at something in the air. She followed his gaze, and leapt back into her seat when she saw hordes of shiny, flying objects hurtling through the skies. The driver nervously mumbled something in spanish, and then whipped off his seatbelt, threw his car door open and run feverishly into the trees of the park beside them.

Kai sat in her seat, looking out the windows at the flying oddities. They swooped and dived, and Kai strained her eyes trying to tell what exactly they were. She gingerly opened the door, stepping out and looking up. Whatever those things were, they were swarming in similar directions. It wasn't until they actually fired on something that Kai realised they were probably hostile. She got back in the car and sat there for a time before deciding what to do. She looked into the bushes, but the driver of the taxi had long gone. She threw her bag into the passenger seat and then climbed forward into the driver's seat. She adjusted everything, then grabbed the wheel. She grabbed the gearstick and huffed in dismay.

"Oh great, manual... I can't drive a manual..." She looked up in the sky, and decided it was for her better good if she learned quickly. She'd seen it done before, it mustn't be all that hard. She turned on the engine and it idled while she composed herself. Grabbing the gearstick and trying to grind it into first gear, she only managed to stall the engine. Next attempt, she got it into first and bunny-hopped down the street until she could manage to get the gear to changer to second. After that, she just stayed in second because it was the easiest gear to get.

Minutes later, she had driven away from the swarms of flying mechanical contraptions. She snatched her bag off the passenger seat and dashed out of the car. She looked around, but was unfamiliar with the area. Behind her was a large mansion with an enormous courtyard, but the rest of the street was unfamiliar residential sections. She scanned the area, but stopped when she heard the sounds of something happening from the mansion. Strange exploding noises, clashing of metal. She scanned the gates and saw the boldly enamoured sign "Xavier Institute".

She hoisted her bag over her shoulder, but looked hesitatantly at the mansion. "This is where I'm supposed to go... I don't know..."

Sorsha landed beside Wanda. "I suggest we move out while we still have time. I don't think they like us much." She frowned. "What the hell is in pocket?!"
