Hidden Flame   Kikyo Soshi & Ӄanshin Enkou In a profound sense
every man has two halves to his being;
he is not one person
so much as two persons trying to act in unison.
________________________________________ To say Kikyo was in a good mood was a lie. To say she was in a foul mood wouldn't even come close to the truth. Truth be told, nothing could compare to the sheer annoyance and anger that festered deep within Kikyo and had been getting worse as time continued on. What was bothering her? here, let's list some reasons as to what could be bothering the agitable woman. First of all, one night while she and Kanshin had been sleeping, some jerk stole the charm that gave her the key blade Shatter Heart. This had been enough to set her off in a foul mood just in time for the holiday season to begin. Second off was the holiday season in general. Why? Because she hated holidays in general, especially Christmas since every year "Santa" went more and more berserk and did something to screw over all ninja in general. Which leads to issue number three and every issue after that. No special abilities were able to be used now thanks to that fat b*****d. In other words, those vectors Kikyo loved and prided in so much? Not there any more. At all. She had tried. Also, weapons were frowned upon, so she got dirty looks every where she went because of the katana that she refused to get rid of since it used to belong to her dead father. Like hell she was going to go any where with out it. The katana was a good luck charm in her book. Finally, the world peace. With peace, there was no war. With no war, there was no fighting. With no fighting, that meant ninjas were useless. So if she was now useless thanks to this freaking world peace, what on earth was she supposed to do?! She growled this nauseatingly beautiful morning as she laid in the bed of the hotel she and Kanshin had been in for a while. She was still bitter for seeing no improvement in the conditions of either Heaven or Cloud, which just seemed to fuel the distasteful expression she wore most mornings.
Kanshin, on the other hand, was observing this all in a completely different light. Sure, Kikyo didn't have her key blade any more, but it wasn't like she really ever used it in the first place. In fact, the last time sh had used it sh ended up causing a lot of problems for the world. The Key Blade being stolen was like a blessing in disguise. She was also pleased at how nice the holiday season was this year was. Why? Well, normally, something horrible happened around Christmas time that endangered every one. Not this year though. Nope! Instead, they got world peace! World peace! Who could ask for more than world peace? Sure that meant that Kikyo-sempai got looks about her katana, and it meant ninja were no longer needed, but who cares? This world-wide peace was something that could possibly never happen again! She was going to treasure it for as long as she lived. Even Kikyo's foul mood couldn't ruin the sheer joy Kanshin was feeling from knowing everyone was safe and happy... Well, all but Kikyo, but Kikyo-sempai would live. Kanshin was looking out the window with an excited expression. Yes, she had cut her hair and gone back to her old clothes. It was just too uncomfortable not wearing the cutesy kimono and having her hair so long. Besides... she missed the ear-like tufts of hair at the top of her head. They were just too cute to get rid of. She heard the growl coming from Kikyo and turned to her dear friend with a wide grin. "Good morning Kikyo-sempai~! How are you this beautiful morning? Did you hear about the Chuunin exams? I think I should try for them this year. What about you? Do you think I should try? Huh? Do you?"
Kikyo's eye twitched as the sugar-coated words coming out of Kanshin's mouth began to seem unending. Damn her companions over-cheerfulness in this whole mess. What's worse, not even the rudest of comments could tarnish this girl's joy. She had long given up on trying to ruin her mood. So, instead, she just played along and hoped that something interesting would happen in this god forsaken village. "Yes yes! For the love of god, yes! Go! Join the Chuunin exams! Just shut the hell up already! You have been driving me insane the past few days with all this chattering about how you're not sure if you should go or not! Not like it damn well matters any ways. Thanks to Santa, we aren't really needed, so rising in rank is probably useless any ways."
Kanshin pouted lightly, but she was in too good of a mood to keep from smiling after a few seconds. She stood from the stool she had been sitting on and went over to the bed that Kikyo had refused to leave yet this morning. Kanshin plopped down and snuggled against her friend. "Aww, Kikyo-sempai, you don't really mean that~! You're just upset about how nice and quiet things have been since world peace-!" Suddenly, Kanshin found herself flung off the bed and falling to the floor with a thud. Yeah, she should have known better. She should have known mentioning the world peace to Kikyo was going to anger her. She should have known just touching her would have gotten this sort of response from her friend. Still, she remained the optimistic of the pair and smiled kindly up to Kikyo. "Sempai, that wasn't very nice."
Kikyo mumbled out, "Shove it" before she sighed and rolled onto her back to look up at the ceiling in frustration. "At least you're not going on and on about that punk Hido."

Kekkaishi ran trough Hidden federation, till he came upon hidden flame. this was the last place he saw kikyo before she left for a vacation a vacation from what he did not know but it was a vacation.He put his hans over his mouth to create a funnel "Kikyo!" He screamed her name over and over hoping to here back from her. he noticed the flying platform where the snow seemed to endlesly pour from, but he did nto are abotu that right now. all he cared about about finding his kikyo."

________________________________________ Kanshin sighed in disappointment as she picked up the bag holding her belongings. She had rather enjoyed this hotel. It was a pretty nice place. Unfortunately, Kikyo had held onto her pent up anger far too long and ended up snapping. The violent outburst caused her beloved sempai to actually throw a dresser through the wall of a couple on their honey moon. The whole ordeal had been awkward for all, but Kikyo was dubbed too dangerous to stay in the hotel and both had been requested to pay for the damage and leave immediately. Why couldn't Kikyo just enjoy the peace? It really was enjoyable not having to fear for your life constantly. She sighed once more and looked to Kikyo sadly.
Kikyo was shaking again. She had been for a few days now. It could only mean one thing- the outburst wasn't enough to give the full satisfaction of destruction that Kikyo craved right now. She was always more cranky in the winter, so the fact she wasn't being allowed to hurt any one after being so inactive for a while was driving Kikyo insane. Kanshin knew that to do anything to u[set Kikyo would probably end her life in a heart beat. That is probably why Kanshin hadn't asked if Kikyo was alright or if she needed anything to calm her shaking. As much as Kanshin enjoyed seeing her sempai behave, she secretly wished some one would anger Kikyo so she could just let go of all of the pent up violence and allow Kikyo to just calm down finally.
Kikyo had her bag slung onto her back and was growling in annoyance and cursing people left and right under her breath. Having to be nice all the time was probably the most torturous thing in the world she had ever had to do. She just couldn't think straight when she didn't get to cause some sort of chaos once in a while. It was all Santa's fault. Had he minded his own business and kept his fast a** in the North Pole, none of this would have been happening! She was thankful not to get a light lecture from Kanshin about how it was uncalled for her to throw dressers through the wall just because Kanshin began singing "Peace on Earth" in a pitiful attempt to cheer her up, but she just needed something to take her anger out. She needed something she could crush and make suffer to end her own internal suffering.
Finally, she got her wish. She heard some one repeatedly calling her name in the distance and ground her teeth in annoyance. The call continued again... and again... and again... Finally, it seemed close by. She could hear the source of the constant callingwas near by. How did she react? She turned around and roared out a, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?! I'M RIGHT HERE YOU ********> She stopped when she realized it was Kekaishi and blinked lightly. She then frowned and huffed lightly. "Where've you been?! I thought you would have gotten your a** here sooner!"
Kanshin turned to apologize to the victim of Kikyo's angry outlash when she saw it was Kekkaishi. She grinned widely and waved in excitement at Kekkaishi. "Kekkaishi-kun~! How've you been? Did you do much on your travels? Sorry if Kikyo-sempai is a tad cranky. She's not too happy abut this world pea-" Instinctively, she ducked down and put her hands over her head for protection. No Kikyo didn't swing at her, but she had been the past few days, which made Kanshin skidish when saying the word "peace" out loud. She was right to. Kikyo began growling and her eye twitched slightly just from Kanshin beginning to say the word. "Maybe I wouldn't be so "cranky" if you weren't constantly saying how wonderful all this peace is! My God! I'm bored to death! I'm being driven insane with the lack of anything exciting going on! I need to punch some one just to make myself feel better about all of this, but I can't because then I'll get in god damned trouble with wide-load and his crazy a** ideas that ninja are supposed to be all friendly and happy and nice!" She groaned in disgust and crossed her arms with a deep frown on her face and her nose wrinkled. "I need sweets to make this all better."
Kanshin heard Kikyo's request for sweets and looked up to her friend, but she still stayed ducked and with her head covered. "Do you want a cookie? I have some in my-"
Kikyo shot Kanshin a dirty look and hissed out, "I don't want any ******** cookies! Do I look like I'm Santa? Noooo. Don't ask stupid questions Kanshin!"
Kanshin ducked her head a little and squeezed one eye shut. "B- But they're chocolate chip... I know you like chocolate chip."
Kikyo was silent for a moment before she went and began digging thrugh Kanshin's bag in attempt to find the cookies.

 Kekkaishi Soshi kekkaishi was surprised to hear Kikyo scream,he listened to there conversations and as she turned around to get a cookie. he pounced on her hugging her as tight as he could. " oh thank god your not dead yet!" when he thought no one was looking he kissed her on her cheek before letting go and jumping back a few feet. his smile was instant for in his hands lay a bag of chocolate chip cookies. He smiled at Kanshin Well for the most part it went good, i helped rebuild my family mannor that took awhile, then this peace crap came up, my family did nto leave its estates till we finaly had to act like the rest, so i left with a promise to kill santa... Kanshin this peace is not true. ilove peace as much as the next guy, but to force it on people is wrong. we did not fight for this peace it was given... and Santa has sealed five villages to keep the 'peace' even though no one has to my knowledge challenged him" As he was speaking to Kanshin, Kekkaishi relaxed slightly, his heart beat cooming back to normal now that he knew Kikyo was alive

Saden got off the boat and scanned the crowd for Kekkaishi. Damn that line to get onto the boat. It was all full by the time I made it up there. So I lost about five minutes waiting for a new boat, and now I can't seem to find Kekkaishi. Just great! he thought as he sheathed his scythe. He walked through the crowd of people slowly, scanning every inch of the area for Kekkaishi, but there was still no sign of him. Soon, Saden heard some loud yelling coming from a little bit in front of him. Didn't Kekkaishi say this girl reminded him of Collab? This may not be her, but it's worth a shot I guess. He followed the sound of the girl, who seemed to be mad about cookies. Really, that's what she's mad about? Sounds like that Collab guy a lot to me, he thought as he approached the three. He saw two white haired girls, one older one, yelling at the younger as she dug through a bag, and a young one, who looked slightly timid. Sure enough, Kekkiashi was with the two, explaining the situation to them. Saden spoke to Kekkaishi., "Hey Kekkaishi! Sorry I'm late." He turned to the older girl first, "I presume you're Kikyo? I'm Saden Zoto, Kekkaishi and I just met in the Star village a while back. Two more may end up coming too, but I'm not for sure." Finally, he turned to Kanshin, "And you are?"

________________________________________ Kikyo almost had the cookies in hand when Kekkaishi grabbed her. She blushed bright red and did her best to wiggle out of his grasp. "Kaishi! Stooop!" She glared at him at the "not dead yet" comment and huffed. "I've only died twice, you jerk! And one of them shouldn't even count since it happened in the Afterlife!" She got an embarrassed as he kissed her on the cheek and then dropped her. She fell on her back side and frowned at him. "Kaishi, not in public like this!" Her eyes got wide as she saw what was in his hands and she instantly lundged for Kanshin's bag to find that, yes, those were the cookies she'd been going after. Oh, so he was starting a fight with him, was he? Well, he was asking for it. He knew not to mes with Kikyo when her sugar cravings kicked in, especally when she was in a foul mood to start off with.
Kanshin giggled lightly as she watched the pair. They really were adorable the way they acted. The fact that Kekkaishi was so willing to put up with Kikyo's tsundere personality and actually used it to his advantage just made the whole thing even more adorable. She realized what trouble he could get into for having the cookies, but she knew Kikyo would never bring any harm to him. Well, not purposely... On a good day... She listened to what Kekkaishi said and frowned. He was sick of the peace too? But it was so nice. She didn't want it to end... She siged, knowing full well that she was going to get involved in ending this, any ways. She never really was given too much of a choice once Kikyo made a decission, and she had expressed many times that she wanted peace to end. She hadn't known about the villages though. "He sealed five villages, but he hasn't attempted mending either of our homes? ...Well, I guess I could help... I don't want to since I like the peace, but I guess you're right about how it's wrong to force something on others..."
As the two spoke, Kikyo stood up in an annoyed fashion and glared at the cookies in Kekkaishi's hands. She was thinking of all sorts of ways to get them away from him... Sadly, she couldn't use any of her vectors thanks to Santa. If she could, it would have been so much simpler to get them. She heard some one approach them and shot a look to him before mummbling some incoherent greeting and focussed back to the cookies in Kekkaishi's hands. After standing perfectly still for a minute, Kikyo was suddenly moving towards Kekkaishi. She swung a fist at his arm in order to knock the package from his hands. Yeah, she didn't care what kind of impression she gave this Saden guy. She would be much more aggressive towards the guy if he addressed him now while she was going through her cravings than after she gave Kekkaishi a bruise for stealing sweets from her hands.
Kanshin sighed at the sight of her sempai attacking Kekkaishi, but she knew better than to get involved. She got out of her defensive position now that Kikyo was away from her and smiled to the new guy. "Hello~! My name is Kanshin Enkou of Hidden Cloud~! Sorry about Kikyo-sempai's behavoir. She doesn't like new people, and she's been crabby since-" She stopped herself from saying it and gave a nervous look in Kikyo's direction. Thankfully, she seemed too occupied in satisfying her sweet tooth to be paying any attention to any one but Kekkaishi. She gave a thankful sigh of relief and smiled back to Saden. "Any ways, it's best not to mess with her when she's trying to get a hold of sweets. She gets angry when she goes a day without sugar in her system."

Kekaishi SoshiKekaishi could nto help but smile as he saw her blushing. he smiled and waved at saden, wich got him hit by kikyo he just turned around and once agian put her in a hug, in which case he would put a cookie in her mouth and kekaishi would suddenly look at her with sad eyes. " so i am not sweet enough for you? i even brought you some of my sweet dumplings." he brought out a bag of dumplings that seemed to be glazed. with honey. he would wait to see her reaction before he loked away from her. Kikyo was... well she was kikyo

________________________________________ Damn him. Catching her in another one of his hugs and giving her those sad eyes, and in public, too! Kikyo knew he was probably trying to guilt trip her for punching him. At least she hadn't frozen ovr her fist before hand! That would have served him right for all the public displayof affection meant to embarrass her and not coming to get her sooner! Still, she did feel of ping of guilt, and it showed with the light flinch she had at the look on his face. She opened her mouth to say something, but he quickly had a cookie in her cookie to get herto hush for a minute. She wrinkled her nose some at the taste... Artificial sweetener... Blech. There wasn't even real sugar in these damn things! At the mention of his dumplings, Kikyo perked up some, turned her head, and spat the cookie out in disgust before she leaned her head against his shoulders and batted her eye lashes. "Aww, you know I didn't really mean any of that. That's just how I joke around~. I'm s- ssss... S- Sorrrr- ..... You know I was kidding." No, she refued to apologize. Besides, Kekaishi had probably planned to make her say she was sorry any ways, so it wouldn't have counted.
Kanshin heard Kikyo spit something out and frowned. Well, so much for that good mood she had had for the past few days. Kikyo had finally gotten her wish to break Kanshin's good mood. She blew the bangs out of her face and mesed with the Akatsuki ring on her finger. "Kikyo-sempai, did you really have to waste my cookies like that? If you didn't like them, than you shuld have just given them back. I had actually wanted some..."

Kekaishi smiled and kissed her lightly on the lips, before he handed her the dumplings. he looked at kanshin. " do not worry. i but some cookies from a store your cookies are still in your bags.. but when She is sugar depraved... lets just say its easy to trick her." He knew he would probably not get any apology from her, but he got what he wanted he wanted from her. he get a kiss. " I am thankful to you Kanshin for taking care of my fiance, i know she is a hand fool. and my kikyo i am sorry for being away for so long.. yet again..." he said this with a sad smile. he hated beign away from her but it seemed he did that so many times. " oh yeah i cant learn any knew jutsu by the way guys."

 "Everything continues to go as planned. The resistance is being taken care of. I have already set my eyes upon those in my lands, that have decided to work against me.. They will be sealed away soon enough.." Santa Klaus says, as he slowly leans back in his chair and sets his head on his right hand. His gaze peering down passed all the golden boxes to look upon his Domain below. He had brought peace to this land, something they had not had in years. And yet there were still people defiling his good wishes? They thought they had to fight for peace? If they believe fighting to be the cause of peace, they would be mistaken. Yet if they want a fight, a fight they would get. He would erase anyone who dared attempt to take him off of his throne. "Five more villages have been sealed off, today."

________________________________________ Kikyo blushed as he kissed her on the lips and accepted the dumplings. Yeah, she was selling herself for food, but at least she had been engaged to the guy for years. That made it more acceptable in her mind... That and she really did like Kekkaishi and his cooking. It was so much better than eating her own cooking. She popped a dumpling into her mouth and ignored any and all comments said about her. She was in her happy place. Every one else could go screw themselves if they had a problem with her. When he apologized for being gone for so long, she opened her left eye and stuck her chin in the air. "If you keep feeding me after you come back from going missing, I'll end up getting fat." She stuck her tongue out at him before she went back to munching on her dumplings. She really had missed him, ut she wasn't about to admit that when some guy she had never met was near by. No need to allow him to see her being nice and friendly.
Kanshin smiled lightly. It was a relief that Kikyo hadn't knocked her bag of snacks onto the ground. She didn't want them now, but it was nice to know she still had the option of a snack should she get hungry. But she quickly pouted. "Do we really have to fight against Santa Claus? I mean, he wants the world to be peaceful, right? Well, what if we just talked it out with him and explain how you guys would like it if we were allowed to fight again. I mean, the Chuunin exams are going to start. I couldn't see how it'd be possible for us to actually know who's grown in their skills if none of us can fight or display how hard we worked to gain some of our abilities. I'm sure Santa wou;d understand something as simple as that~!" She gave a light innocent giggle, obviously seeing nothing wrong with keeping peace. Honestly, she was sad to think that peace would be completely gone should they go through with fighting Santa.
Kikyo looked to Kanshin with a light disbelief and a hint of annoyance, but no where near as intense as it had been earlier. "Oh sure~! We can make a schedule as to when we can fight while we're at it~! Monday through Tursday we could all fight. Friday could be a recovery day for all, and then Saturday and Sunday we could have a BIIIIG party with lots of music and games~! Wouldn't that be peachy?" Sarcasm dripped from ever word that was said and Kikyo made sure to make super girly expressions as she did so to show just how stupid the idea sounded. Unfortunately, Kanshin actually believed every word said. The younger girl gasped happily as the tufts of hair on top of her head seemed to perk up like puppy ears.
"Oh my gosh! That's a great idea, Kikyo-sempai~! Of course, there might have to be a rule about not destroying too many buildings, but that sounds like it could work~!"

Kekkaishi SoshiKekkaishi went to Kanshin and hugged her. "Kanshin that woudl be amasng but answer me this. when is a kiss sweater? when you get it from just anyone or when you get it from that one person that matters? that one person you have to fight to get to and to keep?"he spoke this way when he noticed the akatsuki ring, he remembered hearing something about her being with an akatsuki member

Soon, he had heard Kekkiashi mention that Kikyo was his fiancee. Oh, that actually explains a lot, he thought as he gripped his scythe. "So are we ready to start this thing?" he asked the group, wanting to end this peace as soon as possible. Kisai jumped off the boat and quickly ran through the snowy area, scanning the whole place for the bringer of this horrid peace. She was approaching the group of four quickly, and in seconds would be right there. "Outta my way!" she shouted as she came a few feet away from Saden. Saden tried to dodge out of the way, but he couldn't do it in time. She had run right into him, bring them both to the ground. ________________________________________ Kanshin smiled cheerfully at the hug. She loved hugs. It was a shame Kikyo-sempai never hgged Kanshin. Then again, Kikyo always seemed repulsed by most pysichal contact. Kanshin wondered why that was... Oh well. It was just another of the great mysteries as to why Kikyo-sempai was... Well, Kikyo-sempai. She listened to Kekkaishi's question and got a dreamy expression as she looked down to the Akatsuki ring. Most people would probably think it a dangerous thing to wear such a symbol, but it was her engagement ring from Hido Nara.... It was a symbol that he loved her deeply, so she didn't mind if it was the Akatsuki ring meant for the leader to wear. She would wear it proudly for the rest of her life. "I guess you're right Kekkaishi-kun."
Kikyo seemed to get jealous seeing Kekkaishi hugging Kanshin, even if it was, well, Kanshin. She looked to Saden and gave a light shrug. "I can't imagine it being much worse than the greeting I gave him when we first met... I screamed he was a pervert and my father had to step in to keep me from killing him. Funny what kind of things you do when you're young..." She smiled and chuckled lightly before she lightly rubbed at her wounded eye. She heard a woman yell for them to move. Kikyo didn't. She wasn't about to move for some rude chick when they were talking about something very important. When the woman crashed into Saden, Kikyo shot the girl a look of light annoyance as she blamed him for the collission. "What's the hurry, princess? Late for a tea party? We have important things to do, so leave him alone and go home or something."
Kanshin heard Kikyo lashing out at some one else and immediately when to stop any fight that might break out. "Ah! Sorry miss! Kikyo-sempai didn't mean that! We are about to do something important, but you're more than welcome to come help if you think you can. I'm Kanshin by the way. What's your name?" She extended a hand to girl and smiled happily to her, hoping she wasn't about to hold a grudge against any one. She looked to Saden and nodded. "I guess I'm ready. Kikyo-sempai, are you?"
Kikyo gave a light, uncaring yawn before she popped the last dumpling into her mouth and nodded. Now that she had some sugar, she was a lot more calm and able to think more straight. "Yeah I've been waiting for the rest of you to be ready."

Aloysius found that people like santa had rutines which made them predictable. After leaving Mirrage he found that many of the villages he was planning to visit to get ready for his exams had been sealed whoever this stranger was he was definately much more powerful then Aloysius had thought before,but it was also obius he was no Genjutsu master. upon hearing that snow was hiding in hidden Federation and learning of active volcanoes,he went towards hidden flame sure that was where he would find the man who had brought world peace. Aloysius tightened his grip on his cloak's hood. it was esential to enter and act as civilised as possible, this of course came very eassy to the man who lived his life by genjutsu, he did nto have to use chackra to charm any of the people to let him stay or to ask for any group of roudy people. this santa person was starting a war and Aloysius could not have a world where he was forever at the bottom. no this santa would not take away his will.
He had to stop once he saw a woman with a flute run past him he saw her falling and going toward a group. he could not help but smile as h remembered seeing a few of them the last time he had come to the shinobi word.
he walked towards the group before he spoke. " so does any one have a strategy to fight the man that brought peace in one day?"257 words
