I think the only way a radiation ability would be reasonable is like if it very slowly increased rads in an area. There is no true way to fight against radiation so yeah. You would just have to kill the user before they increased the rads too much and you started suffering side effects.
Oh yeah. And Aria. Didnt me, you, and blossom talking about one of her characters being sick with radiation poisoning of some sort. She read your post and it came back into her head and she wanted to make sure thats what it was.
Oh god, if that is what it is, then she would be extremely vulnerable against a radiation user.

Well, it matters how you think of radiation. Alpha waves, for instance, can be stopped by a sheet of paper, but if ingested (because they are caused by decaying a large nuclei), can cause major damage over time. Though, you can then think of Gamma waves which can only be stopped by large amounts of highly-dense material.
In short, if you were make a character, it would have limitations on how much it could control and such along with how long they could keep up certain wave lengths.
I would really like to create one, just because of the Non-Ionizing side of things, like visible light, and Thermal Radiation xD.

yeah, her character who draws power from the sun...she had mentioned that character was ill with something. I suggested radiation poisoning due to the fact that the source of her power, the sun, was radioactive. the symptoms seemed to match what she was describing at the time.

Does that mean if she met up with a character that could control Radiation, which is also Ultraviolet which is a kind of EMR, then that character could either super power her or make it so she lost a lot of her power?

Alpha Radiation = Ionizing Radiation from a Helium Nucleus becoming an ion.
Gamma Radiation = Non-Ionizing but Electromagnetic Radiation of an extremely high frequency on the electromagnetic spectrum. Invisible due to high frequency
Cherenkov Radiaton = Electromagnetic Radiation created when a charged particle moves faster than the speed of light threshold of a medium it is travelling in, causing non-localized polarization of the surrounding medium. Radiation is formed when the medium returns to normal state through emitting light, the Cherenkov Radiation which is the Cherenkov Light. Visible due to being in the Blue section of the Visible Light frequency spectrum of electromagnetic spectrum.

Electromagnetic Radiation = Radiation primarily formed from photons, the force carrying particle of Electromagnetic Force and the particle of light.
...the Light can not exist....
