Giovanni's old, crusty instincts turned out to be exactly right.

"I don't know if you heard the..." Felipe struggled with a proper adjective. "...unusual conversation between your heir Senor Tony and that unprofessional and unnecessary little girl you insist on calling part of your elite system, but we did." He glanced over to a corner table, where metal gleamed in the light of the television. "Or should I say, a subordinate of mine did. And I dare say, he didn't appreciate the conversation he heard at all." The man studied his nails again. "I'm not sure where your heir gets the idea that he can run amok with any woman he sees fit, play with their hearts, and expect to get off scot-free while still being portrayed as a perfect gentleman." His eyes looked up at the screen, and they sharpened. "I despise men who cannot make up their minds, Senor Giovanni. It shows weakness. An indecisiveness than can mean disaster in the workplace. Particularly in our line of work." He picked up the cigar he had balanced against the ashtray, and took a drag before continuing. "And besides, your heir can play with the wrong girl's heart. Senor Tony needs to decide now, and leave the other girl in the dust without a second glance. You will make him decide, and make him follow through with the decision. You wouldn't want to hand over your esteemed organization to a indecisive leader, correct?" He allowed the cigar to dangle in between his fingers. "You will call him, demand it of him, and have him sever the connection- whichever that may be- immediately. Do that, and the safety of that rogue jet of yours is guaranteed, comprende?" Then he smirked. "But do keep in mind, Senor Giovanni. That if he ends ties with my girl, that safety will not be guaranteed for long. I think it's necessary that you make sure your heir understands that." His smirk widened. "Are we in accord?"

Felipe smiled in satisfaction, then hung up the phone as well.

"Really now?" He asked the air as he gazed at the closed phone. "So what was all that information Novita gave us about Senor Tony being trained to become the next heir?" He chuckled. "Do you think he is lying to us? Perhaps. He is an Italian, after all." He leaned back in the chair. "Record the call to play back later. I want my bebe to hear this."

Apparently someone was in the room as well, for the speakers of the TV began to work, and were filled with static as the call was silently peeked into and watched upon.

It wouldn't do for Giovanni to fake it, now would it?

"In the words of my dear, dear American friends... this outta be good."

Felipe swelled with satisfaction, and leaned back in his seat as his cigar dangled from his fingers.

"Oh, mi novita will love me forever once she finds out what I've done for her..." he breathed. Then he chuckled. "Well, more than she does now, anyway." He laughed. "And then that pesky girl, with blind rage and even blinder attacks, will try to strike my darling down, thinking she even has a chance. And then, when she has had her turn..." The smile on Felipe's face was tyrannical. "My ultimate creation will strike her down without batting an eye." He laughed- almost a crazed giggle. "Ha! The pathetic government thinks it has the best? It thinks it can conquer all? HA!" He shifted his feet from where they were perched on the table. "Now I guess it just comes down to who had the best engineering." He smirked. "It's about time that girl learned her place."

Felipe feigned mild surprise when he picked up the phone.

"Oh? That was quick," he commented mildly, flicking some of the ash from his cigar into the ashtray. "Apparently if he didn't put up too much of a fight, the girl didn't mean too much to him anyway."

"The deal is not yet complete, Senor," Felipe stated calmly. "I can start making the arrangements, but you will not get one inkling of the necessary information until I am reassured upon everything you hold dear that both you and Senor Tony have remained true to your words, and that the girl has been permanently eliminated from the boy's heart." Though the words were cold and hard, they were delivered with a sweet overtone. "Do we have an understanding?"
