Qyp Rin Kairiu (the rolls you failed on the previous page don't count towards your number of posts. Or does the guild accept fails as well as successes? ) (Count all posts with rolls. Because then the bad luck bonus can be calculated...) (There's a bad luck bonus? I'm way behind...) Pushing away from where she was leaning, she approached the two students and waited for them to catch their breath before turning in the direction of the building they were supposed to go into. She had a preference for remaining quiet, though being mean to others was sometimes fun. For the most part it was a waste of bretah, and therefore energy that could be put to better use elsewhere. Looking back to the two, she nodded her head towards the builing figuring they had rested enough. She was indicating that they go in before her.

Batsu looked over at Hikaru-sensei then towards the building. He was most definitely afraid considering he's never been to such a spooky place like this. However, he wanted to get paid and move on to something else... preferably learning a new jutsu. So Batsu swallowed the lump in his throat and proceeded to go and drop Monica off. She was starting to make his shoulders ache anyways...

Kaoru wandered out into the woods contemplating what she was going to do first. There was a series of tests she could put them through, none of them pleasant... and she highly doubted that any of them would be what her students wanted to do. But those were worries for someone who actually cared about the opinions of children. The unpleasantries would begin very soon... and she had a good idea on how she was going to teach her lessons.

With the building now behind him and his teacher ahead of him, Batsu showed himself back in the grove... the same creepy, foggy grove. He looked around just to make sure there weren't any weird crap lurking about. The boy hated this place and didn't want to be here any longer. "Why does this place even exist?! It gives me the creeps..."
Batsu felt a few shivers shoot down his spine.

Shinzu was happy about entering the Grove, well not happy per se, he knew that they'd soon be facing a serious amount of training. On the other hand he wasn't as creeped out by the Grove as Batsu was, but that might have something to do with him having trained here several times over the past couple of years. Regardless, he knew they where here to train, and was more then ready to do so.

Once her students got there, Hikaru turned around to face them and paused. How was she going to do this... "You two are going to tell me a little about yourselves. What are your goals, what do you want to be good at, what you think you're already good at, what jutsu and techniques you were taught in the academy, and... I suppose any other tid bits you think I should know about you." How they answered would determine how they trained. For now, she just crossed her arms over her chest and waited.

Batsu looked over at Hikaru-sensei with a bit of a puzzled look. They first came in damn near insulting him and Shinzu and now he was going through an interview? Things were getting more complex about his sensei the more the two stayed in contact. Nevertheless, Batsu responded first to the questions asked.
"I'm Batsu... Watanabe Batsu. I am the youngest of five siblings. They are all skilled in genjutsu and ninjutsu, I hope to follow in their footsteps. One day, I would like to master medical ninjutsu and use poisons, but genjutsu is my main focus right now. My element is lightning and I am more adapted for agility as opposed to brute strength. I am now versed in long-ranged and surprise attacks as well. In the academy, I learned the basic jutsus: Bunshin, Kawarimi, Nawanuke, Henge, Kassei, and Kakremino... and... uh..." Batsu paused as he contemplated anything else his sensei should know. He couldn't really think of anything so he shrugged. "That's it I guess."

Shinzu. never one to waste time, cut to the chase. "I'm Shinzu, Shinzu Akara, I'm an only child, my mother and father where both Shinobi, my Father died whilst protecting my Mother during Mistress' invasion. My Father's teammates brought back his headband, which I still have to this day. I currently specialize in Taijutsu, but not in brute strength per se, I'm also extremely agile. My long range capability is nothing to laugh at either, I'm only a little worse at that compared to my Taijutsu. I know all the Academy Jutsu like Batsu, but also know the Strong Fist style of combat and a couple Taijutsu moves. I believe that's everything." Shinzu said with a grin as he finished his explanation of his life, though he left out how his Mother begged and begged him not to enter the Academy after she left the Shinobi ranks.

One was going into genjutsu and the medical arts, the other was all taijutsu. One was the youngest of five and wanted to prove himself... the other an only child who had lost a loved one. Both had something they wanted to prove. "The academy didn't teach you... any basics of survival... " At least Batsu wanted to eventually learn how to heal. Every shinobi needed to know the basics of first aid. She could still see there was a lot of work to do. There were still more questions she needed to ask. "What do you two expect me to teach you?"

Batsu took a knee as he was asked a second question. He didn't think that it would be the last, so taking a rest ...so to speak... sounded reasonable. The boy was able to answer the first series of questions with ease. He knew what he wanted out of life, so the answers came out rather fast. This situation was different though. Sure, he wanted to become stronger and learn genjutsu. But on the same token he wanted to know more. He wanted to know what makes what what. His quest for knowledge was never-ending so there was no exact answer as to was he expected. If Hikaru-sensei didn't teach it, Batsu would go out of his way to learn elsewhere.
Batsu waited a few moments before answering. "I don't expect you to teach me everything I wish to know. Even though you are my sensei, I can't expect you to know it all. So I will just say that what you can not teach me, I will seek out." Batsu didn't mean for his statement to be a verbal attack on Hikaru-sensei, or question anyone's intelligence. He just attempted to answer a question that had no definite answer. The possibilities were endless, and so was his desire to learn.

Shinzu sat down at the base of a tree, since it seemed that they where going to do more chatting then training for the moment. When she asked what he expected her to teach them Shinzu had to think for a moment. He didn't really expect her to be a taijutsu master or specialist, so she couldn't really help him there. "Well, I guess I expect you'll teach us how to work as a team, and teach us stuff we didn't learn in the academy." He finally said sometime after Batsu answered.

(don't hate me now...)
Ahhh... so Shinzu expected her to teach them what was not taught in the academy. Good boy. She'd do just that. "Alright, boy... prepare yourself." What came next, she partially wondered if he saw it comming... but she really didn't care enough to ask. All the boy would see was her show her tekagi and then several flashes of silver... and maybe crimson. After his damage was done, however, she turned her attention to Batsu."Your comerade is hurt. I suggest you find these... to make these..." Kaoru pulled a slip of paper from her pocket listing the medicines, their igredients, and how to make them. "I'd do it fast, unless you want him to bleed all over the place." She smirked under her mask and glanced at the boy she injured with woulds on his arms legs and abdomen. At least they weren't too deep... They'd both be getting what they wanted in a sense... Batsu wanted to learn medical jutsu... she'd just now put him in a situation where he would have to learn to make medicine to aid a friend. Shinzu wants to be a great taijutsu master... he'd have to learn how to take pain, and bear with it... eventually fight while bleeding all over the place or with a broken bone. She was doing these boys a favor, but they won't know it right now.
Tekagi (x2) : Tekagi are also known as knuckle claws. They are four blades connected to gloves by each knuckle. These dealy claws are often used in surprise melee attacks to attack someone when they are off-guard since the claws are easy to conceal in a kimono. Damage: 1-4 + str. mod. "Per weapon" Range: Melee
1d20: 10+30= 40 1d20: 7+25= 32 1d20: 4+20= 24 1d20: 17+15= 32 1d20: 17+10= 27 1d20: 7+5= 12
For Shinzu
