Violet's eyes glinted as she rolled them, the block colour making it hard to tell she'd done so.
"You can follow any Godess you please for all I care, it makes no difference to me in the long run. Chances are I'll out live both of you by a long way," she sounded smug as she spoke, flicking her rapier as she did so. She wasn't too concerned about attacks from them, she thought they were too good to go straight for an attack that could kill her. She bowed her head to them mockingly, daring them to attack her.

Dream shrugged. "Perhaps. Four hundred years isn't too much, I suppose." If one were to look into his eyes at this point, they would see himslef struggling to resist going into a direct attack. His eyes were shaking slightly, alternate ideas and personalities conflicting inside him. Eventually, one of them won over.

He kicked off the air, saber held with both hands, and dashed at her with a speed not quite inhuman but still extremely fast. Grinning slightly, he slashed his saber upward at her, aiming at her right arm.

Violet laughed as Dream ran at her, she probably could have moved quick enough to avoid him altogether, but even if she did defeat the two of them she didn't have much of a plan. So instead she moved slightly slowler in the air, enough to clear the main attack but the saber left a glowing red mark on her upper arm like a very bad burn. She hissed slightly in pain but refused to show any more pain then that.
"I was wondering how that thing would effect me. Glad I've found out. For the record, your double my age...I might start calling you 'grandad' you certainly think like an old bat" she replied. She made a second leap over Dream, slashing at his right forearm, roughly the same place that he'd hit her.

Dream turned sharply and took a quick step backwards, but, as Violet had done, he did not fully avoid the attack. The blade pierced his skin, and blood dripped from his upper arm. He winced in pain, but smiled at her. "With age comes wisdom. And bats are a remarkably advanced species. Much more advanced than humans, in my opinion." By the time he finished saying this, the blood had already stopped; his healing power had automatically fixed the injury without his even thinking about it. At this point, he could only faintly feel it, whereas if he had actually put effort into healing it, it would have vanished within three seconds of its appearence. "Honestly, do you have a reason to kill me?"

Violet's posture straightened, her shoulders going back and she held her head high. For a few moment she looked elegant, her long blair hair falling around her face as she studied Dream curiously. Then the illusion was ruined as she chuckled, her fixed grin becoming haunting. Spinning the rapier in her hand she replied,
"Technically? No. I only need you out of my way...but let's face it your not going to leave me in peace are you? Peices, now thats another matter," she was being blunt and honest, an almost refreshing change to her sarcasm.

((Attempt FIVE to post something here... stressed ))

Dream grinned as well. "Perhaps not entirely pieces. But I'm not going to let you leave without teaching you a lesson." He sighed. "If you do have to survive by taking the lives of humans, then why not take it out upon those humans who deserve to die? Only now have we ever done anything to you. It just so happens that the humans whose deaths would benefit society the most would probably be a releif to kill anyway. The ones who lost all sense of logic and goodness." He swung his saber at her in the most simple and easy to block form, deliberately doing so. It wasn't time to harm her too much yet.

{Gah, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while ,_,"}

Liam could help but sit and listen to their conversation. It seemed that Violet had triggered a different side of Dream, even if it wasn't a big change, it was still visible in the way he kept himself. Liam could see it in his grin, as though the desire to wound her was rushing up inside him every time she spoke. His words still made sense, though, so Liam tried not to think anything of it. He ran to the other side of the two, ready to swing his scythe if Violet counter-attacked Dream.

Violet waited a little longer then necissary to block Dream's attack, just to prove she could rather then being unable to. She shook her head in a pitying way before replying,
"You are talking as if I think with your logic. I am a demon, I act like a demon and I think like a demon. I already kill the illogical, thousands everyday if I wanted." her words were hissed, as if she were a snake. As she grew more angry she seemed to look less like a human, her features growing sharper and her emerald eyes looking like hard, green stones. She turned her head slowly to face Liam and tilted her head slightly. She was obviously planning something and it must have involved him as she got an almost hungry look.

((Sorry for late responce, bit of block with my evil characters at the moment i'm afraid.))

Liam stiffened as Violet turned to face him, every feature frozen as if time stopped, he didn't move one muscle. He kept his eyes on her face, the face of a demoness becoming less and less human; it reminded him of a snake, especially after her hissing. He tried to figure out what she was thinking through his gaze, but her cold, green eyes stared at him like a snake eying a mouse.

If Violet was going to be as a snake, Dream would be the mongoose. Too evenly matched for a decided victor. Eternal rivals. It was all he could to maintain his normal mindframe, but his eyes were flashing with light. If Violet were to actually cause harm to Liam, he might just lose control over himself. He didn't want to harm Violet, but there was a point at which he disregarded everything else and became a pure warrior, with all the skill and power he was trained for. Hopefully that point wouldn't come. "But do you have a reason for that? Unnecesary killing is probably the reason why you're being hunted down in the first place, both from us and from the demons in Hell. If you're going to be like that, what choice do we have?"

((Gosh i'm sooo Sorry! I've been revising for exams and i've been getting ready to go on a gifted and talented school trip. Again, apologies.))

"Of course thats the reason I'm being hunted down," she replied, still not taking her eyes of Liam. She took a few steps towards him and suddenly leaned forward towards him, whispering,
"and the reason? Why, because it's fun." she giggled, her voice still hissing faintly.
"Fun, Fun, Fun, Fun Fun!" she shouted, jumping on the spot. Still keeping eye contact with Liam she pointed her rapier at Dream, using it like an extention of her arm.
"You have no choice Dream, You have to kill me or your as bad as me." she replied. She fed from emotions, she could feel Dream starting to loose it, she wanted to see how far she could push him before she went for Liam. She'd found that going after someones friend was far better then going after the person themselves.

Violet was right, though Dream didn't know she was thinking about it. He was starting to lose control over himself. Eventually he would be reduced to nothing more than a well-trained high-tier fighting machine. Those were the times which he had single-handedly defeated entire armies of dark creatures. It was a switch from wisdom to power. Not something he wanted, but if it happened, then it was not as much of his own problem as Violet's. "Do you want me to kill you? Believe me, I've experianced the joy of battle. If I were left in a company of those who would kill me otherwise, then I would certainly be as bad as you. In fact, I've been there already. Which is one of the reasons why I try to avoid it. But if you insist..." His hand was shaking slightly, resisting the urge to drive the saber through Violet's chest.

((That's okay, I'm really busy with exams as well. It'll all pay off in the end, I suppose.))

Liam kept his eyes right on Violet, still standing frozen like a statue. She never took her eyes off of him, and he still couldn't imagine the plot scheming through her head, and it made his nerves go on end. He fought the urge he had to look at Dream when he talked; he could hear the desire to hurt her in his voice, and could only imagine his physical state. He finally moved his mouth at Dream's last statement, "Dream," he said firmly, "Don't, this is what she wants you to do. Don't give into her mind games. Even you said before, we don't want to kill her," he kept his stone gaze on Violet as he spoke.

"I don't care what you do anymore frankly," she replied, her head tilting to the side like a curious animal. Her long dark hair fell over her shoulder, creating a curtain so that she could only see Liam and Dream.
"You may not want to kill me but you may have no choice...especially if I do something like this." as she spoke she dived forwards, moving to the left of Liam before spinning around. She moved as if to hug him from behind, her rapier in front to try and prevent him bolting. If her plan worked it would almost make Liam a sheild or sorts, she knew Dream was far to good so sacrifice his friend to get to her.
