"Sheesh." Brock sighed as Geodude took the force of the electrified rock. "How about we just call it quits here and you go train your pokemon before you come back and challenge me?" Brock asked. He really didn't feel like dragging this battle out any longer than he had to and it would be a pointless victory for him if he continued it any more. "Or I could use one of my real pokemon to finish it faster." Brock mused thinking about the extremely powerful pokemon he was allowed to use outside of official gym matches.

Allegra watched the blue Marill roll down the stairs with admiration and respect. She was a little sad to see the Water-type go so soon; in the short time she'd been staying at Professor Oak's manor, about the only Pokemon she'd been able to become friends with was Tracey's Marill. Her trainer's other Pokemon all seemed to be preoccupied with themselves, and paid her little to no notice. The kitten's ears lost their perkiness for a moment at the thought, but she grit her teeth, still staring down the long set of stairs they'd just climbed. She was going to have to prove to the rest of Kasiya's Pokemon that she had just as much potential as the rest of them, and someday, they'd be glad to call her a friend and teammate.
Snapping out of her little daydream, Allie turned to Twinkers and grinned. "Let's keep going then," she said with a nod. To be perfectly honest, she didn't know if there actually was going to be a treasure up here in the attic, but at the very least, it would be fun to go exploring. The pink kitten took the lead, smiling back at the smaller Cleffa as she trotted ahead, doing her best to stay focused while they continued their adventure.

"Your pokemon look pretty well trained." Mag commented as he inspected Cisashwi and Cagomarg. "What about a battle?" Mag asked as his challenger spirit was coming on. Linalee would be a pretty big challenge. Her pokemon looked to be the same level as his.
"What? A battle?" Linalee said startled at first. But upon consideration she decided that it might be a worthwhile duel. "Okay but remember you asked for it!" She said with a smile. "Two pokemon each, since I've only got two anyway." She said as she recalled Cisashwi so Cagomarg could do the battling.
"Man you're all serious now." Mag teased as he took a moment to decide on who to use against a Slugma. "You're up Sunfire!" Mag said as he released the Flareon in a blast of gold and orange sparkles.

The first to appear was Edward's Dewgong. It barked, ready for a battle. Second to make their appearance was the younger sister's Wigglytuff, and third was the older sister's Medicham. Last, but ceratinly not least, to appear on the scene was Ebony, the mischievous Gengar. "Lily, let's do this!" the older girl called out. "Right Karen!" the other sister called back. "Rollout, Puff!" Lily shouted pointing a finger at Ebony. "Let's get Dewgong, Cham! Use your Thunderpunch!"
"Ebony! Let's play tag! Brick Break on Wigglytuff!" Mitsu called out to the Ghost/Poison Pokemon. "Let's make this a quick one!" Ebony sprung into action, quickly sinking down beneath the floor. Edward took the chance to issue out a command as the oncoming Medicham reared back his fist, thunder and lighting crackled forth from it. "Aurora Beam! Point blank!" Edward called out. With precise timing the Dewgong sprayed the fist with a colorful array of bright lights. Once the light show faded the fist covered with ice was only inches away from Dewgong's face. "Quickly! Ice Punch then!" Karen shouted, thinking quickly. Medicham swung his ice-covered fist landing a successful ice Punch on Dewgong's side.
Unable to find the ghostly Pokemon to use her Rollout attack the pink Wigglytuff opted for a Defense Curl instead looking nervously about the field. Slightly distracted the Pokemon never saw Ebony coming from above the ground, slamming his fist into her side. Double the damage was taken thanks to the type advantage. Thinking quick on her feet again, however, Karen called out for Medicham to use a Psychic attack on Ebony whom was hit by the attack. He was lifted into the air, the health being squeezed out of him. "Dewgong cover for Ebony! Headbutt!" Edward commanded. Concentrated on Ebony Medicham didn't have time to react as the Sea Lion Pokemon rammed his head into Medicham's side. A makeshift Horn Attack.
"Not so fast! Puff use your Mimic!" Lily shouted now covering for Karen. Copying Dewgong's Headbutt Wiggly tuff rammed his head into Dewgong's side. Losing his concentration Medicham freed Ebony of the mental confinement. Free to attack now Mitsu issued a swift Sludge Bomb onto the Wigglytuff. In seconds the Pokemon was covered in the toxic goop. The purple stuff bubbled up slightly as it quickly afflicted the Normal Pokemon with the Poison status. "Nice work Mitsu!" Edward called out taking a short moment to praise his partner. "You too," Mitsu said before turning back to the battle at hand.

"Damn! Poliwag is still weak! This won't do at all. Come back Poliwag, you'r e up Spinarak." The return beam flooded over Poliwag and brought him back into the safty of his pokeball, although Crenu's words still made it through. Spinarak jumped out and the phantome trainer send a haunter into the battle as ghastly fell back. "Spinarak, let's go! Poison Sting!" Haunter swurved around in the air and managed to dodge the needles, charging a blue ball of fire in his levitating hands. Haunter launched the will - o - wisp at Spinarak laughing the whole way, this was like a game to them. "Heh, alright Spinarak dodge and use Leech Life!" Spinarak jumped up into the trees and avoided the attack, leaving haunter looking around in confusion. Suddenly from the leaves Spinarak dropped down onto haunter sank her jaws into it's body. A small tenticle like tongue bore into the Haunter and began to drain the life right out of it much like a mosquito draining it's victim of blood. Haunter shot around wildly untill it was finaly able to detach Spinarak from it's back and threw spinarak onto the ground. Spinarak was recharched and full of energy, ready to go on for many more rounds. "Spinarak, Poison Sting!"

"Oh wow that is Sunfire? He looks a lot stronger now!" Linalee said rushing over to hug him. A bit confused at first, Sunfire quickly realized who he was being squished by. He hadn't seen this girl since his days as an Eevee. It was nice to meet old friends again.
"Uh, Linalee, can we get back to the battle?" Mag asked after waiting a few seconds. "Oh yeah I suppose." She said setting down Sunfire and returning to her post on the opposite side of the riverbank. "Okay let's start off with a Rock Throw Cagomarg!" She exclaimed as her flaming slug pulled out a large chunk of the ground and melting it into what might be considered a rock. Then taking aim she tossed it at Sunfire.
"You'll have to do better than that! Quick Attack Sunfire!" Mag ordered as his faithful friend easily moved around the oncoming rock and slammed into the somewhat structured form of Cagomarg. He rolled over out of the mess and easily loped back to his side of the battlefield.

It didn't take long for Keegan to catch his breath. By the time Kasiya had finished up at the computer, he was ready to continue, waiting by the exit with both packs slung over his shoulder. "All set now?" he asked, holding the door open for her as they went back outside. The lights of Goldenrod City were coming on now, and he could see the Radio Tower rising up out of the horizon, lights on each floor making it stand out like a beacon. He didn't think the train ride to Saffron would be too long, since the regions were connected directly.
He began to wonder what type of Pokemon Nina would be using; since he was a native of Hoenn, he didn't know any of the Kanto gym leaders that well (save for Erika of Celadon). Regardless, he was certain the match would be quite the memorable one, although he silently hoped that he wouldn't see a repeat of Kasiya's battle with Jaeshan several weeks ago.

Charging up for another attack... Bugsy thought, already biased towards the boy for using a Beedrill. I wish Kakuna would evolve. He whined. All complaints aside, he ordered Butterfree to perform Harden, the attack leftover from his Metapod stage. Even though it was a bit uncharacteristic, it proved useful nonetheless.
With a bit of effort and sharp squeaking noises, the butterfly scrunched up its body, a metallic shine covering the Bug Pokemon's small figure as it raised its Defense.

Train sighed. "Oh, fine, alright." She said. "C'mon back, Pikachu." Then she grinned, "Well, at least now I know what to expect next time!" She said happily.
Pikachu hopped back into Train's arms, then crawled back onto Train's shoulder.

Ky smiled when he heard Bugsy's command. He remembered when Sting was a Kakuna and how Harden had saved him from a Pichu's constant rally of Headbutt attacks. At least now he could be glad that he was on the offensive side. "All right Sting! Give it all you've got! Fury Attack, now!" Ky shouted, pointing at the Butterfree with his arm extended like a general.
With both his energy focused and Ky's enthusiasm riding with him, Sting's adrenaline soared as he dove towards the Butterfree. His instincts were now more in tune with his nature, attacking as if his very territory was being threatened by this invader. Even as his forearms jabbed wildly, he maintained his focus, looking for the spots that even Harden could not protect.

"Let's go," Kasiya nodded, happy to be venturing outside again. She'd never seen Goldenrod City at night before, and it was a breathtaking sight. The hundreds and hundreds of lights were dotted around them like a sea of urban stars, accented by the high-rise Radio Tower that loomed above them in the distance. Before long, the duo entered the city itself once more, passing by the casino, aglow much brighter than the rest of the places in town due to the flashing neon lights. It looked very similar to the game corner in Celadon, and Kasiya wondered if the two casinos were affiliates of some kind.
Upon reaching the Pokemon Center, Kasiya dashed inside, glad to find nobody but herself in queue for treatment. Even though the only Pokemon who probably needed healing was Ariel, she opted to get them all checked over, and thanked the nurse over and over as she carefully inspected each Pokeball to make sure her party members were in the proper slots on her belt before she darted back outside, nodding to Keegan for him to follow her to the train station. I hope we're not too late, she thought, hearing the blaring of the train's horn from somewhere in front of them. By now, her ticket was crumpled and ruined, and from what she could make out on the edge of it, expired. Sighing, she tossed it into a nearby wastebasket before lining up to buy a new ticket. Even though it wasn't an expensive purchase, she felt almost a little guilty for throwing away the useless ticket so hastily, but realized that she couldn't keep every little memento she found along her journey.

"Look it isn't like I'm not glad you came here to train, but it helps to be more prepared before entering a gym and challenging the leader. I'll look foreward to your next challenge." Brock said to the trainer as he recalled his pokemon and went over to the healing machine near the far edge. "If you want you can heal up your pokemon here and save a trip to the pokmeon center."

Volley after volley of sharpened barbs stabbed the Butterfree, a pained cry echoing throughout the Gym. Four separate waves of slashes and strikes were beaten into the Bug, the butterfly Pokemon retreating back in fear of another hit. "Don't worry little guy," Bugsy said with eased confidence. "you've still got that beautiful move on your side. Confusion attack the Beedrill, show him that it's not just about brute force!"
After a moment of tending to its wounds, the butterfly Pokemon fluttered upward. Its ruby eyes sparkled once more as it blasted another rainbow colored energy bolt towards the attacking bee.

"Edward, let's finish off that troublesome Medicham!" Mitsu called over to him. He nodded his head in response ordering Dewgong to fire an Ice Beam at the opponent. The attack conected and was short followed by a Shadow Ball attack from Ebony. "I've got your back Sis!" Lily called over to her sister. "Wigglytuff use your Body Slam!" The Normal Pokemon began to sprint, aiming for Dewgong. "Ebony use Psychic!" Mitsu said. The Gengar's ruby colored eyes glowed a tint even brighter before the purple aura was surrounding the Wigglytuff. "A little help please Edward?" Mitsu asked pointing at the Medicham's feet. "Gotcha!" he said with a quick nod. "Ice Beam again Dewgong! Get the feet this time!"
Dewgong sprayed the crystal colored ice at the ememy once more. Cham, however, was rather quick on his feet and jumped backwards as the ice splashed against the ground creating what looked like upside down icicles. Cham staggered a bit, but quickly recovered. "Good enough," Mitsu shrugged. "Now give 'em a good toss Ebony!" Waving his small hands a bit Ebony unleased the purple aura sending the pink Pokemon into the ice. It would have been rather painful had Cham not srung into action, saving his partner from certain doom. "Dewgong! Hit them with a Surf while they're on the defense!" Edward commanded taking the opportunity that he spotted.
Once the wave washed away, leaving only puddles on the floor, all four trainer's could see that Wigglytuff and Medicham weren't in tip top shape. The poison was definately taking a toll on Wigglytuff and the ice that clung to Medicham was undoubtfuly stinging. "Cham, take one down with you!" Karen cried pointing at Ebony, "Psychic!" Cham's own red aura sprung up around Ebony this time as Medicham used his mental strength to beat the Ghost Pokemon. Exhausted from the attack Medicham quickly fainted, successfully bringing Ebony down with him. "Finish off that Wigglytuff, Dewgong!" Edward shouted, "Sheer Cold!"

The area seemed to turn colder and windy whipped around. Frost could been see on the ground slightly. Dewgong unleashed a massive amount of ice and power at the same time. All three girls shielded thier eyes to prevent any stray pieces of ice to come flying at them. They took a look once the area turned back to normal. Granted, the cold was still lingering, but that wasn't much of a bother. "Puff?" Lily asked with a small gasp to follow. Incase in a clear block of rigid ice was the pink Wigglytuff. She wore a shocked expression. It was definatly knocked out. She lifted her Pokeball recalling the Pokemon inside. "That's once vicious attack," Karen commented and Lily nodded in approval. "But it won't work twice on us!"
Karen unleased her next Pokemon, a Hitmonchan. Lily's next pink companaion was a Clefable. "I think I'll go with Karri!" Mitsu said taking the Pokeball off the silver chain. Enlargening the Pokeball Mitsu tossed it forwards, Karri making her usual graceful entrance. "Ah, Edward. What a plesant surprise."
"Now's not the time Karri," Mitsu said with a slight smile. "You and Solrock can catch up later. For now let's end this with a Psychic." Karri's ruby colored eyes glowed the same way as Ebony's, although one could say her's had more sparkle. "Not again! Detect Chan!" Karen commanded. With a small flash of light Karri attack failed and Hitmonchan sprung up with a Thunderpunch. "Fable! Use your Double Slap!" Lily cried after her older sister. Cham, Puff, Chan, Fable? What original nicknames Mitsu thought with a tint of sarcasm.
