I've been thinking a bit more about my Alpha Legion LatD army for a bit now, and after toying around with a few lists, I'm starting to like the idea of it a lot more. To think that I'll be able to work out a decent force with this, can I get some suggestions from you guys? I know the list is a bit on the restrictive side, but it should be workable with enough tweaking.

Perhaps it's the fact that I can have a decent wall or few of cheap meat shields before the real dangerous units come to slaughter what the Mutants and Traitors haven't gotten to yet. Perhaps it's the reason that I also like Tyranids. Thinking about it like this, this force might be good against a fairly shooty army like the Tau.

Is this the concept army? I may be mistaken, but I didn't know that things such as Terminators and Obliterators could be given infiltration. That seems rather... improbable.

Also, as stated above, you cannot have more than one squad of Obilerators in an army unless it's Iron Warriors.

For an army idea I wanted to do with nurgle I intended to use obliterators and teminators in an infiltration based force.

Dedicated armies can't have Obliterators.

If you want some sort of heavy support in an infiltrator army, I'd say go for tanks on the rear line.

Not only do pure armies not get obliterators, but obliterators cannot be given veteran skills (so no infiltration) and models in terminator armour cannot infiltrate)

I said: "For an army idea I wanted to do with nurgle I intended to use obliterators and teminators in an infiltration based force.

The idea behind this being that they teleport. Perhaps thats what he's thinking? "

Back a page. Im well aware that they cannot be given marks, skills, etc. And that terminators cannot infiltrate, thatd be pretty hard considered the armor. I have the codex on top of basic common sense. Teleporting into the army or behind it could be considered rather infiltration-esque.

As for dedicated armies, I didnt say an entire nurgle dedicated force. I can have units without marks in a force led by a character with a mark. So theres nothing limiting obliterators as long as I dont use the 'pure' or deathgaurd rules.

Its 3 Obliterators as one unit which is the max you can pick for them.

and the Terminator armor doesn't inflitrate he flys over as fast as he can.

And thank you I forgot about that on the terminator armor.

And this army is what I use and is led by the Lord Ringare Dundragon. His army is known as the Deep Strikers.

I know a porn movie by the same name.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone ever tried an army with the Siren daemon tactics in combination with a shooty element (allowing your shooty part to take out threats while your significantly larger (pointwise) daemon force would mop up the rest. Im considering a tactic like it but have never tried any kind of "split" army tactics (ill be facing 1500 points with aproximately 500-1000 points until my daemons arive)

I cant decide which chaos god to go for, or go for undivided.
Even though I like charging and hacking up models, the radical part where everything charges the nearest thing is a bit too much, so Im ruling khorne out.

Well if you want CC and you DONT want khorne, go for slaanesh. Undevided is one of the funnest to play but well, its undevided, and not that good at CC apart from the adition of raptors.

You can still take Slaaneshi troops in an Undevided army.
