Soultrain I've got alot on my mind. The last 24 hours have presented me with a very difficult decision. My old boss called me with a job offer last night, paying me $2 more an hour to come work for him doing what I used to do before for the company that bought the place I used to work at after it closed. I went ahead and decided to accept the offer. I turned in my two-week notice at Lowe's this afternoon, and 15 minutes before my shift ends the store manager calls me into his office and offers to match the pay if I stay. eek If I stay at Lowe's, I will be OVER the max pay for my position, and will have to change positions to ever get a raise again. On the other hand, I have 18 months there, vacation time, and Lowe's is fairly stable year-round. If I go, I could get raises, and get more hours, even overtime! Plus I would be working again with some of my old friends. I wouldn't have to deal with stupid customers, and be doing a job I miss doing. The downside is the housing market is still unsettled, and the worry of getting the rug pulled out from under me again is ever present in my mind. I have until Thursday to make the decision. Well, I've reached me decision: I'm going. It came down to what I enjoyed doing more. I'm not burning my bridge though.
