"All right Gastly use your Confuse Ray attack!" Morty ordered from his part of the gym. The Gastly's eyes glowed and a white beam came out and hit Kenny head on causing the ghost pokemon to sort of stumble in mid air and the confused state to kind of float around as if it were drunk.
Dante frowned a bit the confused state not being something that he really wanted at the moment. "Kenny can if you can I want you to preform Astonish." He said very slowly trying to make sure the got thru to the ghost pokemon. Apperently something got thru because Kenny just fell on the ground and started rolling around on it in his confused state. Both Dante and Morty stared at the ghost pokemon not quite sure what to do at this reaction.

"That sounds great," Mitsu laughed. Vermillion neared and Mitsu's heart began to pound. Luckily the Vermillion base had been destroyed by Nightmare the last time she was there about a week ago. "Vermillion..." she trailed off.
Ebony who was still hitching a ride on Mitsu shoulder floated around her head making funny faces. "Ebony," Mitsu choked, "Stop..it!"She burst out laughing which satisfied the mishchevoius Ghost Pokemon.

Kasiya excitedly grabbed her Pokeball from the slot, and held it tightly, blushing a little as she realized she looked a little silly. "So, now what?" she asked, looking down at her Pokeball again. It shook a little, and the Vaporeon jumped out in front of her, also happy to be back. "My favourite girl," Kasiya said with a giggle, petting her gently.

Mike trotted along, Portabello following closely. "Sometimes," he started, boredom hanging off his words. "...sometimes I just wish I could telaport like Karri." He quickened his pace to catch up with the group, who was a little ways ahead.

After a moment more of watching Kenny roll around on the ground, Dante was under the impression that Kenny thought he was Shiva, when Morty decided to attack again. "All right Gastly now that its confused use a Lick attack against it." The Gastly nodded and flew towards Kenny with its large tounge lolling when suddenly a beam of ice hit the flying pokemon sending it back across the arena the ice halfway freezing the ghost pokemon as the gas particles in it clumped together due to the cold.
"Huh?" Dante said 'intelligently' as he blinked a few times in confusion. Looking down he spotted Kenny sitting there on the floor giggling with his arms held out in frount of it. Apperently Kenny thinking itself to be Shiva was a good thing. Dante mused to himself as he looked over at the half frozen Gastly.
Morty frowned slightly and recalled Gastly and threw out another pokeball to reveal a Haunter. The evolved version of Gastly pulled a face at him and flew around the room. Dante sighed and got his pokeball out and recalled Kenny. He really didn't want to chance his new pokemon getting hurt in the gym battle due to its confusion state.

Mitsu whirled around hoping to catch the Ghost Pokemon in his Pokeball, the red beam missing each time. Mitsu sighed soon enough spotted Mike trailing behind the enitre group. She looked at him for a few seconds before turning back around and continuing on to Vermillion's port. "C'mon Ebony let's go." she muttered catching up to Nina and her mother. Ebony nodded and clung onto her shoulder again.

Portabello decided that he was finished being in last place, and charged forward at full speed. "Hey wait!" Mike dove for his Pokemon, snagging his tail, carefully not touching one of the poisonous spores on the tip. The Pokemon was surprisingly fast, an eaily caught up and passed Mitsu and her Gengar.
He skidded to a halt, sending Mike crashing into him, the both of them sliding across the muddy ground.
"Remind me to kill you." Portabello groaned as his trainer got off of him.

Ebony pointed and laughed at the duo. "Ebony!" Mitsu said trying to hold back from laughing with the Ghost Pokemon. Ebony couldn't take a scolding though and continued to laugh. "I think you both shuld be more careful, in this weather at the least." Mitsu mumbled and walked on forwards.

"Yes ma'am." Mike said weakly as he shook most of the mud off, the rain taking care of the rest. "At least it serves some purpose."
Not really caring about himself being dirty, Portabello continued the trek to Vermillion, following his trainer.

Mitsu rolled her eyes at being called ma'am. She held up a Pokeball silently and returned Ebony and tossed Karri's Pokeball out instead. She looked to the floor and kicked a rock. It skidded to stop in a puddle of rain water. Karri's aura flickered a bit, the emerald color auracould be seen by the naked eye. Oddly enough Mitsu had the same aura around her for a mere second.

Kasiya strolled over to the window, Ariel on her heels, and she peered out. The rain hadn't let up even a little bit, and the butterflies in her somoach only seemed to increase the more she thought about the mission. "We can do it," she said, absent-mindedly stroking Ariel again, who made a sort of purring noise in response.

Dante thought for a moment not quite sure which pokemon to use at this. Shrugging he reached for his belt figuring both Shiva or Apollo would be fine no matter which one he picked. Tossing out the pokeball a burst of light and flame appeared befor settling into Apollo's form. Dante smiled a bit at his firey pokemon who snorted slightly smoke coming from his nose ready for battle. Besides maybe he would luck out again and Haunter would be made of gasses to after all fire did burn off gas.
"A Ponyta eh? Well we will just have to take care of him wont we Haunter?" The ghost pokemon nodded and stuck its tounge out at Apollo and Dante. Apollo snorted at that embers appearing this time. "Haunter start off with a Hypnosis attack!"
"Apollo Fire Spin! Make sure the fire covers your vision!"Dante comanded hurriedly hoping that would negate the power of both the Confuse Ray and the Hypnosis attack that the Ghost pokemon could unleash at anytime.

Hikaru happily watched the Gym battle. It seemed that the two trainers didn't even notice that she had entered into the room. It was an interesting fight especially with the Duskull and now with Ponyta and Haunter.
"Way to go Dante!" Hikaru cheered.

(...I'm never going to go to the dentist again as long as I can help it. crying That was the most terrifying dentist experience I've ever had.)
Putting Alakazam's Pokeball back on her belt, she approached Kasiya. "Let us go back to the gym now. We'll regroup with my father, and then we shall have Oracle teleport us to Vermillion City." Looking to the Vaporeon, she petted its head for a moment, and then opened the door, holding it open for Kasiya.

After a bit more travelling time, the group had arrived inside of Vermillion's borders. Nina recalled visiting this area when Kilik's trial was still going on-- she remembered watching him going into the courthouse, and remembered the sarcastic things she had said to him that day...
But, she shook those thoughts off a moment later. She remembered that she was not out to vent anger on Kilik this time, but rather to rescue him from the evils that he had once belonged to.

The helicopter stopped above the Vermillion City Plaza. Kilik looked down from the window, his hand trembling on the latch of the door. There was still nothing that he could see. His head pounded as he kept trying to remember what that was all about. Nina...I don't remember anything... He smirked, looking over his shoulder at Rena. She smiled.
The female Rocket placed a hand on his shoulder and looked at him. "When we find that Raikou," she said, "just wait to see how happy Giovanni will be." The girl laughed a bit at the thought of a happy Giovanni. Rena nodded at him as the helicopter landed softly on the ground and the engine began to shut off. "Ready?"
Kilik gave the girl an affirmative nod and looked over his shoulder at the two other Rockets. "Scan the area. Leave nothing over looked." The boy watched as they saluted. He opened the latch and stepped out into the rain, his hair falling in front of his eyes. The wind blew the rain softly around them. He looked around him, although his view was corrupted. "All right. You two search south. Rena and I will move toward the North Gate and look there."
