1. Success! You're a boss. No really, you've got some lovely Between work going on. Not only do you judge your space perfectly, but you're able to flame down the entire cloud of Thread and turn it into harmless ash before they even realize what just happened. In a flash, you're back to your original position, ready to take on the next battle! +2 Between Accuracy Quote a Wingmate and save them from damage!
Excuse me, Cynosuth told Phaeth softly, We are coming to bring you firestone. Shyly, the little Green darted up to find the Bronze, and noticed a tangle of thread along the way. Oh no! It was headed right for Phaeth's! She bugled an alarm, and flamed it out of the sky, Dr'stan correcting on her back so that he could toss the firestone to D'mos without incident.
They blinked and much to there amusement in the perfect spot to dispose of some thread that had made it's way through the sky.

Fenrith bugled when he spotted a smaller wingmate floundering in the face of stiff winds. When thread blew right toward them, he flamed it out of the sky. Nothing could stop the unity and power of Tsunami Wing!

Illa urged Fenrith onward, and suddenly they found themselves absolutely surrounded by thread. However, it was not the first time they had been ambushed in battle, nor would it be the last! Fenrith roared mightily, and flamed in a broad circled, spinning. The thread turned to ash under the fury of his flames.

The ash that they had created blew against them, stinging them where it landed. Fenrith gave a snarl of pain, but persisted, flying stubbornly to fight more thread!

Thread wrapped itself around Fenrith's leg, and the big Brown bellowed, belching flame at it. Illa took them both between, and back again, the pain of the wound sharp but not severe.

"STAND DOWN!" Illa shouted when she saw one of her wingriders about to dart after a clump of thread that was moving in an erratic pattern. Something about its snaking path had her hair on end. We will handle this together! Fenrith told the dragon, who moved aside. And just like that, the wind changed, blowing the thread right where the dragon had just been. Together, they flamed it well out of the air.
"There!" Laasya called, noticing that their fellow wingriders were in major trouble if the clumps of thread fell upon them. They had to get there quickly! Once the thought had been made, Nusueth went Between as quickly as possible and flew them just to the side of the clumps and burned them up in quick spirts of fire. At least he hadn't needed to use too much flame to do it.
14. You notice one of your wingriders is in need! Three clumps of thread are heading straight for them, while they are flaming down another impressive sheet. Ah, but your dragon is clever, and quick, and manages to flame all three down with short spits of fire. If a green, or blue rider, the thread turns to harmless ash, and both of you can continue on your way. [+3 Target Accuracy]
Nusueth grunted in pain through their mental link before Laasya even had a moment to ask why, they were popping Between. "You okay sweetum?" She asked, tilting herself ever so slightly to catch his eye when he turned his head.
"Yes. I'm going to be a threadscored nilly by the end of this." Nusueth replied with annoyance. They popped out of Between and entered the fray once more.
18. Thread falls, and a sneaky strand winds up chewing on your wingsail. You pop Between to ease the pain, and come out flaming. It hurts, but it's small tubers compared to what it could have been! [+1 Pain Resilience]
While they knew better than to leave formation, the pair jumped Between and popped out next to a wingmate to protect them from a clump of thread that had been hurtling down towards them while they had been distracted by another clump. They quickly retreated to their previous position and continued to go after clumps of thread that fell.
9. As you're fighting Thread, you see your nearby wingmate in danger. You immediately blink between, falling out of formation, but hoping to save them! Roll a D4.
1. If green, you appear close to the target, but are pushed into the clump of Thread by a strong gust of wind! [Moderate Damage -4 HP] If any other color, you successfully catch the clump! [+1 Between Accuracy]
Laasya could feel the surge of excitement, vigor, and overall sense of accomplishment coming from Nusueth. It helped bolster her own failing reserves and caused a large grin to stretch out over her features. They had so much more to do before the day was out, but they had made huge progress. Or at least, that's how it felt.
"Wingmates, we have done so well today! Your efforts have been noticed. Fly quick, fly smart, and let's end this!" He called out. It may not have been the most inspiring speech, but any dragon who heard his call would feel the surge of emotions that would help bolster their own.
19. Your dragon has a moment of true inspiration, and sends out encouragement to his or her wingmates. Encouragement Boon! Quote one of your wingmates and remove one status effect
After Nusueth's inspiring pronouncement, Laasya knew that he coul get distracted by their wingmates very easily, and in an attempt to get him to focus on the task ahead she fed him more firestone. Of course, she should have known better. He was far too distracted by that.
Nusueth bit his tongue in the process of trying to chew firestone that Laasya had given him. He roared in his soft voice and his surge of emotions that had led him to give such an inspiring speech was quickly overcome by embarrassment. "Mine, I've bit my tongue." He grumbled to his rider. It was actually very painful. Nusueth had a lot more sway in his flying and it was clear to his rider and anyone else nearby that the dragon was not only in pain but very highly distracted by his aching tongue.
13. Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls. Their flaming aim will go down, and they might be slower to dodge out of Thread's way. [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 3 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. Should you roll a prompt with the possibility of damage, take the max damage allotted for your size/color automatically but it will also end the Tongue Bitten Effect immediately.]

The Fourth Hour: Round 4 Begins!
First Wave Still resting! Second Wave Keep on fighting! We're in the last leg of it now!
Candidates will have been assigned duties and tasks in the Weyrbowl, as well as in the Lower Caverns and the Infirmary. It's imperative they stay out from being underfoot of the weyrhealers and riders!
Rainstorm Wing aka The Tea Clutch. You're too little and too young to be assigned tasks and duties. Chances are, you're in the Barracks learning how to keep your dragon calm during high stress times of emotion. Your babies are still sensitive and likely easily distressed, so I can't imagine they are going to want them underfoot in the Weyrbowl. It's possible their morning or afternoon chores are going to be helping in the kitchens and areas that keep them away from the worst of the trauma and chaos.
- - - -
Current Hour: 1400
Current Location: Flying over Balen Hold and the forests that surround it. Any Thread that gets through is a direct threat to the hold and their way of life!
They were almost there. It wouldn't be long before they met the Trailing Edge of Threadfall and beat the enemy back from their lands and their territory. It wouldn't be long before they could go home, and tend to the wounded, and mourn for any who did not return. So far, though, he was pleased to know that there were yet no deaths... Injuries, yes, but no keen had gone out.
Giving the signal, he had the Wings change position. One last hour, Thistreth. Let's get them through it!
The bronze dragon gave a loud bugle. Though the winds were fierce, though the bronze was Threadscored, with ichor dripping from wounds sustained in the fight, he was not going down. His wings ached, his rider was tired, but they had to keep up the fight.
Riders of High Reaches Weyr! The battle you so bravely fought is drawing to an end! One hour more, and then the day's toil can be at an end. Do not grow lax in your vigilance, or let weariness best you. Fight on! Pern needs you, Balen Hold needs you! We will get through this together. Let no dragon be lost this day. Thread will not defeat us, or ruin our lands. This is OUR territory! These are OUR people! This is OUR battle to WIN! Fight on, brave riders, and relish this hard earned victory!
For the Wings would come out of this victorious, of that, Thistreth and D'mon had no doubt.
[Riders and dragons. Gain +10 HP for this final round!]
