Lucy's eyes lit up. This was even better than she could have hoped! More Pokemon meant more battle opportunities! >Thank you so much!< she said happily, bowing her head to the Scyther. She scrambled up Alistair's leg, digging through his bag and shoving the Pokeball into his hand. She returned her gaze to the Scyther, nudging her trainer gently. >We' certainly appreciate as calming a presence as yours,< she added sincerely.
"Luce, what are you... oh!" The scruffy red-head had been somewhat apprehensive; while he trusted his Emolga, he preferred to know what was going on in negotiations. But it seemed the Scyther not only wasn't hostile, but seemed amenable to coming with them. And he admitted, having such an impressively bladed Pokemon on his side would be a boon. Carefully, he pulled out his Pokeball and reached out towards the Scyther. "If you'd like...?" he said questioningly. The bug could meet him halfway if he so chose to enter the ball... and if not... well, he'd deal with that when he got there.

The Scyther didn't hesitate as he stepped forward. Leaning to tap the Pokeball lightly with a bladed arm, he would feel the sensation of being sucked in and the red light covering his body. The ball would fall the floor, rock once and then the light in the center would fade from red to white. It would seem Alistair had caught a Scyther and added him to his team! They were now free to move forward!
As one path ended, another one began. This time, into a hot cave. It didn't seem like any other route existed. "Looks like we can only move forward...let's be extra careful." Raiden nodded, already feeling the heat as the entered into the cave.
At this point, Alex would pull his hoodie off, stowing it away inside of his bag. He didn't think it would suddenly become colder in here, and there'd be no point in sweating to death before reaching their destination.

Aside from the crackles and unearthly noises, there were no pokemon sounds that he could discern. The path had been surprisingly calm. He tried desperately not to jinx things as he walked, glancing at Raiden now and then to see how he was doing.
Well, that was two Pokeballs down. Alistair only had one left... he'd try to save it for something truly special. Not that he regretted any of his current catches... but for now, he'd need to keep going forward in search of this evolutionary stone. Given he now had a Pokemon that evolved with a stone... he was quite interested in finding that stone.

How oddly quiet. Alistair felt like he'd run into a Pokemon nearly every step of the way in the forest, so not finding anything proved to be an unusual experience. He hoped it'd keep for a while.

A Slugma would walk right by them. When he was a fair distance away, he would turn and the boy would see his eyes were pitch black that seemed to stare into his very soul like it would take it~ The Pokemon must have deemed him lacking in some quality as it continued along it's way as if nothing had happened. Well... At least Alex could continue now..

A Roselia with a sombrero would pass by Alistair singing happily and dancing away. Where the Pokemon had gotten the hat (nobody knows!) as he danced away and faded off into the distance. Looked like Alistair was free to move forward! And the boy and his group had reached the next area!

Mystery Mountain
After making your way through the deadly forest, the next thing you see is a huge mountain looming overhead. The worn stone path that swerves in an S shape back and forth leading up to the top. The second is the great gust of icy wind that hits your face. The temperature begins to drop drastically after taking the first few steps upward. Further on, several igloos can be seen on the left side. Be careful not to slip. The walkway is slick with ice and the more you climb, the steeper the drop. The winter wonderland looks pretty but not all appearances are as they seem. Who knows what creatures lurk hidden in the dark corners.
On one hand, a Roselia would have been good fodder for Lucianna. On the other hand... probably not a good idea to kill more things. Alistair stepped forward into the cold, shivering a bit. This wasn't an advantageous area for himself, so he'd have to be careful...

So cold and oddly quiet... Alistair tried not too shiver as he walked up the slithering pathway. The mountain was so tall and lonely... at least no one was here to see him trembling. Well, except Lucianna.

As Alistair continued his journey, he would see a faint cloud of dirt in the distance. It was getting closer and closer until it would pass... Right by him. It had been a Shieldon running like something had been hot on it's tail. But for a Pokemon with a high defense and rock solid exterior, what could possibly make the Pokemon retreat like that? And was it coming in this direction? Either way, Alistair was able to continue forward.
... oh dear. Alistair quickened his step, scanning the ground as he pushed forward. The faster he covered the ground, the faster he'd hopefully find this stone... and the more likely he could avoid whatever the Shieldon was running from.

Seeing the flaming slug, he saw the look it gave him. It was, unsettling... What is this feeling...? As the Slugma continued to move, the feeling left, but it still had an aftermath. Definitely not a feeling he wanted to feel again, and he and Raiden quickly got to moving.
