Iroh let out a sigh of relief, "good, i mean-well, as far as you know he didn't and that's as good as i can get, i guess." the question made him kick himself. in his panic he hadn't thought about Tim's reaction to a question like that. "he made a promise to me a long time ago and i wanted to make sure he's keeping it is all. sorry to wake you. have a good night." he hung up before he stumbled and gave away something he shouldn't.

Iroh. it was Iroh calling, and from Tim's side of the conversation, he was asking if Daren had been drinking. Daren sighed and shook his head, finishing drying off and getting dressed.he pulled on his shirt and walked out, smiling, "who was that? pretty late for a call."

Daren nodded, "very much so." he turned off the room's light and got into the other side of the bed, "what did Iroh want? or is that a personal question?" if Iroh had been asking around about what Daren t he had been, Daren was going to have a nice long chat with him the next day. he hadn't been drinking, nor had he given Iroh any reason to think he'd been drinking, so why ask?

Tim might have thought he was getting away with it, but it was easy to tell he was lying when you had been trained to look for it. his eyes had drifted to the left when he was speaking, a sign that he was making it up. it didn't matter, he'd just have to talk to Iroh directly in the morning. "i have no reason to be ashamed, they were good. so there. good night, Tim."

Daren pulled the blankets up and settled down to sleep, thankfully being taken quickly by his exhaustion. he woke at his normal time, early, and slipped out of bed so he wouldn't wake Tim. he went to make breakfast, wanting to get ready for work and go as soon as Tim was on his way to the Doctor.

When Tim went to change in his own room, Daren changed into his uniform, done a lot faster than Tim was. he was back out and serving up the eggs, bacon and toast by the time Tim joined him. "i was planning on taking my bike, unless you want to drop me off, of course." he didn't mind riding the motorcycle though

Daren chuckled, "Don't count on it, my friend, i wake early even when i don't want to." he sat down to eat, checking the clock to make sure he had time, which, of course, he had more than enough of. "good luck with your appointment, i'm willing to bed it will go well and you'll be too skinny like i always tell you, but healthy enough to work."

Daren shook his head, "it's just a phyical, you don't have to do anything special before it. they are going to take you weight, height, possibly a little blood and your pee. so make sure to drink a lot." it was kind of cute to see Tim worrying about such a simple doctor appointment.

"Better than semen in a cup," Daren countered, grinning as he drank his orange juice. "the only time you need to fast before an appointment is when they are checking your blood glucose level, so unless you are worried about diabetes, your fine." he checked his watch again before sighing, "I swear, the last half hour before you have to leave for work drags on forever."
