I think the Tau arent as good as they should be.

In reference to your experience against eldar, broadsides specialize in anti tank stuff, so using them on hordes of infantry wont do you good. This, especially when they are very immobile, and the eldar are the fastest race around.

If they create a sequal, which is what the end credits suggest, I hope they re-tool the tau, and give them a new unit, sniper drones.

The eldar, they are quick, they win through ambushes. By use of webway gates you can successfully drown someone through waves of attacks from any angle. They are too weak for my liking, but since they are fast you get to the enemy before they can break your forces. I used a technique against DE when he was space marines, won the game in under 7 minutes.

If you read the Broadside's unit entry in the DC booklet, you'll see that they're effective against both infantry and vehicles whilst entrenched.

I've had good results with them against infantry squads, as their range allows them to blast away, and the railgun's splash damage kills at least one, and wounds several more each shot.

Of course, when armour is supporting the infantry, lone Broadsides just get taken apart.

I just bought Dark Crusade on Thursday, and I've been having a blast with it since then. ^.^ Took the Necrons into a campaign on easy difficulty(I'm still trying to get the hang of the game), and I've crushed the forces of Chaos and the Imperial Guard so far. Space Marines will be my next target, and they've put up the most resistance so far.

My strategy entails very slow progress through each map, and those damn Marines just choose to rush in, guns blazing, twenty-or-so men at a time. I would have lost a Monolith in my last mission had I not been able to summon a couple of enhanced Warrior squads too it. Well, that and the Necron Lord with Essence of the Nightbringer.

Are you sure? Are you using them in large numbers with pathfinders? The Markerlight is killer XD!
When I use them everything dies so quickly, its kinda no fun actually o_0..
Has anyone else seen a kill move the Pariah's do? Its when they pin you to the ground and discintigrate your head, my Pariah's did it on a Chaos Sorcerer and at first I thought it was a glitch or something but ive never seen that kill move before and his head was gone..and not in a glitchy way either...

Yeah, I noticed that when he did it to a sorcerer too! I was laughing, I zoomed in and his face was a nasty mess.

Glad to know im not insane XD

It totally caught me off-gaurd, It was crazy. I like it as a personaly touch like "not only did I just kill your commander, but I gloriously smashed his face into the back of his skull, just to add the exclamation at the end of his death".

There are quite a few good ones that the pyriahs show off.

To those who want to slowly goes through the levels, the only way your not going to get your a** beat (unless its on easy, it shouldnt be that hard) is that you deny enemy access to resources, and you move quickly. Remember, they are already hunkered in, they are already producing a good sized army, you are dawdling around trying to get the perfect one. They will come after you before you want them to, and thats usually when your in the proccess of booming.

You seem to be offering random advice to thin air, Yo_mamma. I don't really remember anyone asking.
Most of us have owned and played the game for a while now, and know how it works.
Sure, Daicon just bought the game on Thursday, but he came on here to tell us his stratagy. If that's working for him, then so be it, eh?

um your right, no one did ask, but then again I dont need someone to tell me when I want to say something.
Someone was complaining about taking his sweet time, and I said that enemies get to be a pain in the a** if play that way.

I never told you what to say, I showed that I disaprove of your constant banter. That classifies as opinion.

Problem? PM.

The recommended requirements for standalone are lower.

The minimum requirements, even for standalone, are higher.

It's award time over at Gamespy and Dark Crusade has been doing good.

First off, it's on the seventh place for top ten games of the year.

Second, it's nominated as the best PC expansion of the year.

Next to that, Relic got the developer of the year award, for both Dark Crusade and Company of Heroes (which got the following awards: Best PC game of the year, best PC multiplayer of the year, best sound and best PC strategy game of the year)

Also, there has been a quick suggestion that Dawn of War 2 would use the Company of Heroes engine. So keep those fingers crossed.

oh man, thatd be hot. Its kinda hard to imagine 40k looking that...real. I mean, as models they look "real" if you paint them well enough, but video games which have great graphics have a different kind of "real" to them which looks better than reality. you know?
